MM Note: Fixed. Ezra waves his hand in dismissal, charmingly smiling at the chimeran. "Miss Polaris, I assume? I would have prepared this feast for any guest aboard the Satyr's Song. Fresh lobster, fish, and crab; hand kneaded artisan bread; fruit and vegetables, grown farm fresh, and wines from the finest vineyards: all of this came from Aluriel." He motions to various dishes laid across the table as he speaks of them. "It is my gesture of hospitality to you before your mission begins and as we set off." At the mention of the bird, Ezra turns to the creature with a smile. "Ah, I see you've taken an interest in my starbolt phoenix, Rorrick." The phoenix bobs it head up and down before whistling and clicking it's beak. "Skrea! Hell-oo! Skrea-ooo!" Rorrick greets the party, not unlike a parrot. "Beautiful bird, isn't he?" Ezra scratches the starbolt phoenix underneath his chin as it leans into his finger, clearly enjoying the affection through the clicking of his beak.

Zaria bull rushes to D2, Khopesh in hand. "Merei, move back behind me! I have you covered." OOC: Zaria should be down one point of spirit and she's bonded, not blinded. Also, the Enhanced Vision spell is attached to her holoscroll, and not actually a spell she has with the rest of her known spells.

----- The heroes descend down into Ebria Station’s docks. The grimy atmosphere and the whirring, humming, and churning of various machines within the system’s underbelly distill a claustrophobic atmosphere, the opposite of the shining, clean white jewel that is the Satyr’s Song. The light frigate is a polished, sleek looking light frigate, clearly armed for combat. A few of it’s twenty eight cannons poke out into the dock for inspection as crew members dart about in varying degrees of uniform, hauling in crates, inspecting the hull, and checking logistics. You are brought aboard by one such crew member and into the ship’s interior. Passing by elves and dwarves cleaning the floors and checking electrical panels, you each notice the ship’s interior is worn, but built with an eye for form as well as function. A whistle blows, echoing through the halls: last call before take off. Your guide makes it to the ship’s stern, opening a set of double doors and steps aside to allow to enter the cabin beyond. Astronomical charts line the port and starboard side of the cabin, as potted ferns droop down from planters mounted on the walls. Various nickknacks and battle trophies sit in glass cases, polished and dusted to make the glass look non-existent. Laid out in the centre of the cabin is a banquet feast of seafood, from crab, fish, lobster, and fresh steaming bread. Vegetables and fruit sit in fine china platters, while alcohol bottles sit next to a mismatched assortment of goblets and wine glasses. The spread of food, it’s spices and ingredients, smells heavenly. A small group of the crew wait to the side, sitting on stools with instruments in hand. At the head of the table, a tall, well built man with pointed ears and scruffy, gelled hair stands up, a gilded, thin blade at his hip. His uniform is looser and unbuttoned at the chest, exposing it and the undershirt he wears beneath his blue jumpsuit. To his left, a beautiful red bird coos and preens itself as it glows a faint orange hue. The elf raises his goblet in toast, smiling softly. “Heroes of Heroica. My name is Ezra Nezzar, captain of the Satyr’s Song, and sworn privateer for Ark Victoire. It would be an honour if you would sit and dine with me as we discussed the matters regarding your employment. This meal is for you.” The band begins to swell as the doors behind the heroes close. -The Heroes- Polaris Ursaring [with M.I.L.E.S.] (samurai-turtle) -PARTY LEADER- 15 cycle old female "Chimeran" Character Points: 0 / 22 Vitality: 8 / 8 Velocity: 2 Strength: 2 Skill: 3 Smarts: 2 Spirit: 2 / 2 Proficiencies: Coding 1*, Engineering 1 (+1, tool), Medicine 1 (+1, tool), Melee Weapons 2, Nature 2, Short Range Weapons 1, Long Range Weapons 1, Spells: Healing Light, Spirit Ally, Credits: 32 Equipment: Mecha Strike (Standard, Kinetic, Melee Range Weapon), Utility Belt (tool) Grants +1 Engineering or Medicine Check Success, Inventory: Whirlwind Boomerang (Standard, Elemental, Short Range Weapon), Plasma Potion (x5), Pulse Cannon (Calibrated, Energy, Long Range Weapon), Designation: B3R5 - 3rk (Dutch Thriceman) Age: Unknown, Gender: Mechanical, Race: Adamite Character Points: 0 / 14 Vitality: 6 / 6 Velocity: 2 Strength: 3 Skill: 2 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Melee Weapons 2, Intimidation 2, Athletics 2 Known Spells: None Credits: 85 Equipment: Chain-Greatsword (Standard Kinetic Weapon) Mecha-Plate (Standard Kinetic Armour) Inventory: Shield Booster, Energy Cell, Nanite Elixer, 2 Plasma Potions, Sawn-Off Shotgun (Standard Short Range Kinetic Weapon) Yelana Fennix (Classic_Spaceman) Unknown age Female Human Character Points: 1/15 Vitality: 6 Velocity: 3 Strength: 2 Skill: 3 Smarts: 4 Spirit: 0 Proficiencies: Artillery Weapons 1, Perception 1, Insight 1, Stealth 1, Sleight of Hand 1 Known Spells: N/A Equipment: Modular Sniper Rifle (Calibrated Energy Artillery Weapon), Radiation Gauntlet (Standard Energy Armour), Farsight Goggles Inventory: Cloaking Generator, Hacking Chip, Translator Cube, Plasma Potion 2x Credits: 80 MM Note: Welcome to Mission 8: The Enigmatic Mr. Fix-It. Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Yul'Yom Celebration

Zaria goes with the more traditional option, choosing the cake. “Well, couldn’t hurt to also have the cake. I’ll have to find a way to fit it into my training regimen. Hmm…” -
Zaria's khopesh comes out of its sheath as she prepares a warding bond. She wasn't taking chances in this situation. "I do not like where this is going. Demons, possession; I do not what is causing this, but we are getting to the root of this evil and destroying it." She gives Merei a side glance before turning to the rest of the group. "How do we want to handle this? I do not think the captain is in full control of his faculties."

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

"Alright, I've got word in from the captain of the Satyr's Song. Bers, Yelana, Polaris; the three of you are heading to Aluriel aboard the Victoire vessel. This note also says to bring your appetites... whatever that means." Chosen Heroes for Mission 8: The Enigmatic Mr. Fix-It Bers (Dutch-Thriceman) Yelana Fennix (Classic_Spaceman) Polaris Ursaring (samuraiturtle) Mission Master Note: Enigmatic Mr. Fix-It goes up Saturday. Thank you for signing up, I hope you guys are as excited as I am! -
Zaria stops as Illbery waves his gun around. She figured she could take him, but she was more concerned with his poor health and the sinewy tendrils growing around them. “Captain Illbery? We were hired to look into the disappearance of this freighter. My associates and I would prefer if you put the gun down.” Zaria sheathes her khopesh, but a growing unease grows in her gut. She was no diplomat, and a desire to prepare a warding bond was cautiously welling inside her.
-
Zaria backs off from the capsule with the... thing inside, keeping a wary eye on it. "Very well. We can move on, but I still believe this creature should be destroyed."
-
"I think I understand enough to know it is dangerous, Merei. We have a responsibility to destroy this thing to ensure what happened to Bugsy does not happen to others." Zaria replies sternly. She was more concerned knowing this creature was present on the ship than anything else, but while it was here it was seemingly a threat and it should be dealt with.
-
"If we have any means to, I say we incinerate the damn thing." Zaria says bluntly. "If it is what we believe it to be, the creature that killed Bugsy, then it is a menace to us and others. It should be destroyed."
-
Zaria stashes the plasma potion on her person for the time being before turning her attention to the capsules in the room, looking to see if she could identify the contents inside.

Current Sign Ups for Mission 8: The Enigmatic Mr. Fix-It: Bers (Dutch-Thriceman) Yelana Fennix (Classic_Spaceman) Polaris Ursaring (samuraiturtle) Mission Sign Ups End Dec. 10th "Hmm... seems a mission just came in." Thorvald begins to prepare Enson's green tea as Heisenberg pulls out a pocket watch from his pocket, frowning. He mumbles to himself. "Erm... runnning behind schedule... well, I should be off, heroes! Much to see around here, much to do!" He exuberantly proclaims, placing his watch back into it's pocket as he stands up, cigar still in hand. "I do hope we meet again soon: Yelana, Bers, do take care now." He bows respectfully to his two compatriots and begins to make his way out of the hall, a trail of smoke from his cigar wafting behind him as he leaves. -
Zaria cocks her head in Kirwin’s direction with a quizzical look, her eyebrows furrowed. “Kirwin, the drinks are already free back at the hall.” Zaria pauses for a moment before correcting herself. “I believe the drinks are free at the- now you have me second guessing myself. Let us continue investigating this room. Drinks and comfort come after we’ve finished our job here.”
-
Zaria tentatively steps into the science lab, sword drawn and at the ready. She ignores the computer and heads for the desk with the drawers, investigating it's contents. "I think Greenlaw's not in here, Merei. I do not know what we were expecting to find, but maybe not finding anything was the best outcome for now."

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
Is Father Grogmas showing up with a sack full of loot to hand out to good adventurers? -
"I think I am currently in agreement with your assessment, Merei." Zaria nodded solemnly. "Heading to the science lab sounds like the best call, seeing how our ability to travel further towards the stern is blocked." Keeping her khopesh in hand, she silently bows her head and mutters a brief set of final rites to Bugsy before returning her attention to the group. "If we are finished investigating here we should move on. It is unhealthy to linger among the dead."
-
Zaria makes her way to the computer monitor and examines it, looking to see if any information can be immediately gleamed from it. “Anyone here have more than a cursory knowledge of these… computers?” It was apparent that Zaria was less than knowledgeable about what she was handling.
-
Zaria shows off the note she found to everyone in the room, standing up to do so. "Any of this mean anything to anyone?"
-
Zaria, intrigued, grabs the note off the floor and reads it while squatting, but not before looking to the debris as it lands near her. The noise it makes draws her attention, looking around and pivoting towards Kirwin. "I believe you and I share the same sentiment, Kirwin, but I wouldn't be worried about the corpse. Corpses are usually harmless... usually." Zaria lingered on the thought of the deceased crew turning undead, but turned her attention to the note while she had the opportunity.
-
"Then let us not get caught here." Zaria replies. "If keeping us safe means I need to disturb this crime scene, I am going to disturb the crime scene."
-
Zaria scowls in disgust. A growing knot twisted in her stomach. She wasn’t sure what she was looking at with the gooey mess between the dead man’s torso and legs, but it unnerved her. ”I do not really care if this is a crime scene or a not: we can wait for the authorities or we can take action, Varen.” Zaria looks to the floor, investigating it for any trace of the goo or anything else if interest.

-Mission 8 Sign ups pushed back to December 10th- -
Zaria motioned for Kirwin to enter the room with her. "It is alright. I will be beside you if need be." Zaria steps into the room and examines the corpse closer, hoping her dark vision would give her a more clear examination of just what the liquid was without having to touch it. "This ship is looking less like a freighter and more like a morgue. Keep your wits about you, everyone."
-
Zaria steps back and waits for Varen to attempt the hacking chip before proceeding with her plan to force the door open. A part of her hoped it would fail, if only so she could rip the door open.
