  1. After hearing about the license for Civil War sets, I am really hopeful for new figs of Falcon, Black Panther, Crossbones, and Baron Zemo. I feel like Crossbones will only feature briefly in the film (like Strucker in AoU), so he may be less likely to get a minifig. But Zemo is a must since he is the central bad guy.
  2. I actually like this as a replacement to the current Hulkbuster if we had something more in scale with the Hulk big fig.
  3. Question about the summer Marvel sets. So are the Spider-Man sets really being sold at a time separate from the Ant-Man set? I noticed the signs for them at the most recent toy fair showed August release for Spidey and June for Ant-Man. It feels a bit odd to release 1 set earlier than the others.
  4. Do we have all the U.S. prices for the AoU sets?
  5. I wasn't sure if this was ever confirmed, but do we know where the Ant-Man set is going to originate from? Will it be based off the comics or the 2015 film?
  6. I did not see that until now. Thank you for the info. I look forward to all. Brick-built Rhino I am questioning though. We need more big-figs in the Marvel line. Been nothing but Hulks and a Goblin.
  7. I had a question regarding the set waves for this year. Will the Avengers 2 sets count as our Summer Wave like Guardians was in 2014? Or will it be a Spring Wave like the Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble sets we received. I am trying to figure out what else we might see this year, hopefully something Ant-Man.
  8. Is it safe to assume that the Euro prices will be the same as the US? I can't see Iron Man vs Ultron costing $14.99. The Spider-Trike is given the same listing, while it is $11.99 in stores.
  9. Definitely grabbing the Witch King Battle. Possibly the Battle of the Five Armies set as well. Not entirely sold on it just yet.
  10. This might belong in the Marvel 2015 thread, I'm not really sure, but is anyone else looking at Batman's "space wings" and thinking Winter Soldier Falcon custom?
  11. Out of curiousity, how long might it be until we see pics of the next wave of Superhero sets, whether they be DC or Marvel? I know we have SDCC coming up in July.
  12. This may not be the place for this, but I have an inquiry about one of the GotG sets. I recently bought the Knowhere Escape Mission 2 weeks ago, and the fingers for Groot are already breaking off. I have hardly handled him so I can't explain whats happening. Has anyone attempted to mod his hands by any chance? I'd like to find an alternate route, rather than sending in a replacement piece request with LEGO. I've already submitted one to replace a cracked Wolverine torso...
  13. Don't be so certain. Look at the Marvel sets we received this spring and summer. At least 1 of them coincides with a Marvel film released this year. While some are not accurate to the films themselves (Like the Electro or Sentinel sets), they at least relate to the movies in terms of featured characters. We could easily see another X-Men set around the release of the Apocalypse film that features the iconic villain as his comic book depiction.
  14. Well, I picked up all the new Marvel sets yesterday. My favorite has to be the Blackbird (aka X-Jet) mainly for its sleek design. For the life of me, I can't stop handling Groot though. There is just something about this figure that I just adore . Since the summer wave is now out, I await pictures and rumors of what comes next. I heard it'll be mainly DC though, is that true? I am ashamed to say I have had a falling out when it comes to the DC sets. Getting tired of nothing but Batman sets, with redesigns of old characters (Riddler & Joker). The Marvel sets, however, always seem to introduce a new fan-favorite character in LEGO form.
  15. Great, an unexpected Martian Manhunter. Looks like I might need to purchase the 2014 Marvel sets sooner than I had planned. Out of curiosity though, if you visited a LEGO Store, would they allow you to buy the exclusive fig itself? When they were giving away the Jor-El figure, I believe I noticed a sign next to the register saying that you could've purchased it for $5.99 or something like that.
  16. You know, it is probably for the best. Age of Ultron and Ant-Man are also planned for 2015, so one less superhero movie frees up space for some possibly decent Marvel sets. I was disappointed to not see anything for Thor: Dark World or The Winter Soldier for 2014. Granted, might see something later on, but I prefer TLG having more space for some Ultron and Ant-Man. Considering all the new characters to be featured in Age of Ultron (Baron Strucker, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and of course Ultron), I am hoping to see plenty of sets for the film. At least 2 will be enough for Ant-Man I think.
  17. When you say "with mask in brown," do you mean the mask itself is brown? And I'm glad Cyclops will resemble his Astonishing X-Men design. To be honest, I liked it more in the Marvel game than the classic version.
  18. I hope LEGO puts the big figs into high gear. So far we only have 2 Hulks and a Green Goblin. We could use a Juggernaut, as well as Abomination.
  19. I'm glad LEGO did the smart thing and made the colors for Wolverine's cowl yellow and black. I personally prefer the yellow and blue scheme, and that cowl can easily be used for both figures. The Sentinel image also has me curious about what might be in the robot's left hand, if anything. Be interesting if he was also holding Sabretooth. Lastly, I don't know if anyone else heard, but apparently Avengers: Age of Ultron will feature Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, one of HYDRA's leaders. So there is a chance we might see a LEGO version of him in 2015 .
  20. I haven't been paying much attention . When I first saw the Sentinel image, I was hoping for cheaper X-Men set we were not aware of. Doesn't hurt to dream.
  21. I'm starting to think the Blackbird and Sentinel are both in the same set. I just noticed how both the leaked Sentinel image and our first image with Storm using the same background (rain and lightning). It would explain the tiny form of the Sentinel itself. Like other I've noticed that in a lot of the $50 Marvel sets, you have the large build and the small build. At that price, I can see there being at least one more figure, so I have my fingers crossed for Cyclops. He'd be an excellent addition to the LEGO Marvel series.
  22. I'm so getting that set. For the Wolverine fig and for the Sentinel. If this is a completely separate set from the Blackbird, I would hit it is priced somewhere from $20 to $30. If it is, I can see myself buying two just to have more than one Sentinel. 2014 is looking to be a very expensive year for me in terms of LEGO. Makes me angry that I also have figures to collect from the new Transformers film.
  23. I agree with the color scheme. Too much bright red and blue. I personally would've liked to see a LEGO version of the SHIELD jet used by Spider-Man and his team to get around.
  24. The "lazy eyes" on Bart, Homer, and Marge irk me. Also, I guess this set won't include Grandpa or Santa's Little Helper as we once thought.
  25. Aye, the 2014 DC sets are out in stores, you just need to look for them. I was at a Wal-Mart close to my home earlier this week, and found 1 lonely Riddler Chase sitting a shelf. Like any sensible person, I bought it right then and there. I'm honestly hoping the Magneto figure is at least preliminary. The bright red helmet just doesn't fit well with the dark blue torso and legs to me.
