  1. Exactly. And while we only have a rumor about Castle 2016, as strong as it might be, we already have actual announcement of LOTR sets coming out soon, and that's an indication that LOTR wasn't a fail.
  2. I’m glad LEGO don’t make marketing decisions based on the opinions of a couple of internet posts deciding for a fact that LOTR sets sold so poorly.
  3. I won’t try to tell you how or why the LOTR series is so popular, you need to do some research on your own, but I’m sure you’ll eventually find some good reason why “some MILLIONS of people” bought millions of copies of the books, why the theatrical release attracted millions of viewers around the world and there is still big market for future bluray releases, and the most baffling question of all which is why the LEGO LOTR first wave sets sold better than the more recent Hobbit sets when the main targeted demographic are too young to have even watched the LOTR movies in theater.
  4. Binks in the trailer would’ve given many people a heart attack, including myself. It would be even worse than that moment in Episode I when Qui-gon and Obi-wan attacked the battle droids to rescue the queen while she was being escorted to camp 4, and then Jar Jar jumps in front of the camera, looks at us and cries “hoohoo”? Every time I watch this I just want to grab him by the ears and smash his head against… never mind.
  5. Binks shot first
  6. I bet the Chrometrooper is Gwendoline Christie.
  7. Disappointed rather than surprised, he’s a very important character who actually has something to say in the movie, just like Gree in your sig, both being more important than Neyo. So nothing else other than Cody was revealed today?
  8. I just hope this Cody mech sells so well that LEGO would realize how much the fans want him and put him as a normal minifig in a regular set.
  9. Corydoras: if you’re so annoyed by TFA stuff then by staying here you’re just hurting yourself, do yourself a favor and check somewhere else for news on other LEGO themes, because it’s going to be just “boring” TFA stuff in this thread for a long, long time.
  10. Amen to that; losing Darth Maul in the first movie of the prequels was really stupid, he could’ve made the other two movies a bit more interesting, with all the rivalry and hate between him and Kenobi. I agree that the sets should be revealed, we can already tell what they would be from the trailer, and just like they used to do in NYTF they can do it without showing the box art so there won’t be any unwanted character names reveals.
  11. Buying good stuff from multiple lines is one thing, buying any product just because it says Star Wars is another. If you grew up with BIONICLE then maybe you won’t find these weird things bad at all, but for some of us it hurts the eyes just to look at them, and makes us feel sorry for LEGO whenever they stray away from their iconic successful product line that made Star Wars fans who didn’t grow up with LEGO start to fall in love with it as adults. Those weird things will only appeal to BIONICLE fans, and BIONICLE is not what the world knows to be LEGO at all. People at SWC won’t even recognize these things, and won’t know how to categorize them; are they bad looking action figures that look terrible beside Black Series figures or are they some new toy that’s not LEGO but has the LEGO brand on it for some reason!
  12. Didn’t say I don’t believe you, just said it’s bad news for me.
  13. Where did you get this information? We don’t have a December set list yet! Unless it was mentioned when Luke and Vader were released; this would be bad news for me.
  14. Maybe if he looked like Obi-wan, not a mecha freak with a weird face and disproportioned limbs. But like you said, to each his own… however I don’t see those guys becoming a hit anyway, so I don’t think we’ll be seeing any more of them next year.
  15. Obi-wan is definitely crap, these constraction freaks should be restricted to masked characters, Greivous and Vader are OK, but Luke and Obi are horrible. I still don’t understand the concept however, who’d buy any of those odd looking incompatible things instead of a more accurate action figure? I hope we get more stuff revealed in Celebration other than the ugly constraction figs; there will be reveals on Thursday 12:00 PM and Friday & Saturday 11:00 AM according to FBTB, so hopes are high for TFA goodies.
  16. He does? I didn’t know that either; now you ruined the entire new trilogy for me
  17. I didn’t know Kylo Ren looked like Revan, so it’s still an unwelcomed spoiler.
  18. You are one lucky Bendu.
  19. So true, we already live in a remastered special edition of reality made by some rich and powerful George Lucas like entities, and we all want the original version of history but the real life George Lucas will never allow it to happen because it conflicts with his artistic vision of history.
  20. We all know the scene was altered to adhere to the prequels, I was pointing out that this new conversation still made sense just as much as the original conversation, and doesn’t make Vader look like he didn’t notice Luke must be related to him like you said, he just didn’t discuss it with the Emperor before, probably because he was contemplating to conspire with Luke to overthrow the Emperor.
  21. Not necessarily, Vader might have known but that conversation could be the first time the Emperor discusses it with him. This actually makes sense because Vader wasn’t surprised, and he made his suggestion to turn Luke promptly, which means he thought about it already before the conversation and just found a good opportunity to mention it.
  22. Agree on both, Liam is an awesome actor and Ewan really loved playing his part, but Ian seemed to be more into it than both, Liam suffered from some wooden performance due to his weird lines (not his fault but still) and Ewan didn’t get a good chance to show what he’s really made of until the last movie where he was completely awesome. Ian’s presence was pronounced from the start, and peaked to tower over everyone else in the third, I can’t think of anyone else who gave a better performance than him revealing he’s a Sith to Anakin.
  23. That might be because Ian Mcdiarmid is the best thing that ever happened in the PT, and no body actually felt bad he found his way into the OT.
  24. Totally agree, it makes me sad that I have to fast forward every time I’m watching ROTJ once Sy Snootles song begins, I just can’t stand it, it’s uber stupid and it adds absolutely nothing to the movie.
