I don't know how I feel about that to be honest. I think its kinda lame but whatever floats your boat. It really only works with UCS or Modulars it seems. Maybe a few SW sets. I don't think I'd ever do it. I wouldn't have the patience and I don't like the idea.

There are too many good ones to say a BEST I think. But I love the Hobbits, Boromir and Gimli, new Jabba, Jawas (don't have any unfortunately), Sandtroopers, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Venom....I could go on and on. As for worst I'd have to say the Clone Wars figures...I hate those faces, they are absolutely hideous and they're not even compatible with other SW sets. Good thing the only ones I own are some clones so their faces are covered.

Great review! I bought the set recently and I love it. The Canadian price wasn't too different from the US one (unlike some other sets...) too which was nice. The figs of course are amazing, Venom has always been my favourite spidey villain so its nice to have him in Lego form! Fury is awesome as well but I too prefer the older Spiderman. The one that came with this set suffers from pink eyes and the print on mine was damaged a bit. The actual build is fantastic too. Nick's car is fexcellent and the transformation is very easy and smooth. I also love the way the missile launcher is hidden and how it comes out. Very well done!

Definitely pick up tons of the collectable minifigs. I'm hoping to get more than a few Knights from Series 9. I also want to get some more Original Trilogy Star Wars sets, some LotR sets and see whats in store for Castle 2013. I missed out on the last Castle sets unfortunately. I also want to get started on doing more MOCs and to start Brickflicking.

For me it was from 2005 - November 2012. I guess I got into video games and felt like I was "too old" for Lego. But I'd always check them out whenever I was at Walmart or something similar. Then one day I saw they had the collectable minifigures line. I picked up a bunch from series 6, 7 and 8 and loved them. Then I bought a bunch of the Monster Fighters sets and I just couldn't stop. It's kind of funny I now barely play video games and am into Lego again. I now own a ton of Star Wars sets and just today actually I bought 9473 The Mines of Moria.

I don't think the Hoth Base is too bad. I received it as a gift and I enjoy it. Although the bizarre crane has me scratching my head. I'm definitely a sucker for Hoth stuff though so I might end up buying this set, even though its very bare bones. Also Luke's Snowspeeder wasn't orange.
