  2. Superb! Excellent work
  3. Thanks coffeeandcake. Interesting you should also like theme park-type models. I think a funfair could be a LEGO theme. Obviously coasters would be very difficult but there are so many other rides that would make for a lovely little collection. I already have lots of ideas for my next few projects ;)
  4. Thanks Xcod119, hadn't heard of CUUSOO, just Googled it. Nice idea! Col
  5. Excellent work
  6. Quite simply superb! :)
  7. Thanks I'm looking forward to the real build. :)
  8. Hi all, Pictures of my favourite creation - a Merry-go-round. The ride features 8 different types of vehicle - a train, a tractor, a rocket ship, a dinghy, a fire engine, a quad bike, a car & a horse. I have included 6 minifigures - a ride operator, a boy purchasing a ticket, mum & dad figures (with dad taking the picture) & two children on the ride. The kiosk features a till & a lever to operate the ride (which must be turned by hand of course!) I have sent off for the bricks to build it Colin Merry-go-round1 by colmoore, on Flickr Merry-go-round2 by colmoore, on Flickr Merry-go-round3 by colmoore, on Flickr
  9. Thanks mate
  10. Rookie question - why is there an upload limit of 100K for photo's? I have only uploaded the two pictures of the train & I only have 9k left! Thanks
  11. I chose the wheels because I didn't really intend it to run on a track. As a novelty Christmas 'toy' train I built it to be pulled around a table by a child rather than run around a track by a train enthusiast. I think it could easily be modified to accomodate the proper train wheels though. I'll try it.
  12. Thanks Guys. I've already built it thanks to Bricklink...was interesting sourcing the bricks though as there are quite a few hard to come by ones on the model: the roof, the wheels, single-stud modifier bricks, the radiators for the steps, the dish on the front...all came together in the end though. I'm planning on doing a Halloween one and I already have some ideas for it. I'm going to use the coffin containing the evil Count from the Monster Fighters Hearse set on the wagon and the Zombie driver driving the train. A few pumpkins/skulls, some red lights, watch this space...:)
  13. Thanks very much chap, will read this closely. Please please please - brick outlines on the MAC version. It drives me crazy having a beautiful computer with a big screen and it can't do this!
  14. OK mate thanks for letting me know. I did wonder if it was in the right place or not.
  15. Thanks mate. All made possible with LDD & Bricklink. It's great to have redicovered Lego aged 36, and having access to pretty much an unlimited brick pallet.
  16. Hi All, New to the forum - joined yesterday. Great to be part of such a large & talented Lego community :) Here's a MOC creation I made over Christmas - a cute little train. Loco has 92 bricks; Wagon has 60. Need to fill it with presents though so it will be around 100 when it's done. Also has a little hatch for the firebox :) Considering doing a similar one with a Halloween theme...watch this space. Colin
  17. The building guide really needs improving. It assembles most of my stuff in a random, illogical order...and I'm not talking about me! LOL The simplest solution to me is allow us to manually assign each brick with a STEP number so we can control exactly how the model goes together.
  18. Small point but the HTML building guide still says Lego Digital Designer 4.2 at the top.
