  1. I would like to hear your opinion about the hight and lenght of the ship and pehaps you've got some constuction advice, because i can't get the bow just right..
  2. i've been working on the idea to make the ship larger. now i've got 6 midsection's on it. i want to expand it to 9 midsections. i've been calculating the cost of it. it would be around 100 euro's. and that i find to much for the moment. because of the way i've been builing this ship altering it on a later time would be possible without taking the in tire ship apart (again) C&C are welkom Claus
  3. to wat you refer as the cabin. is in fact the kitchen so thats the reason its not ver out coming but more a whole with te rest of the schip. the cabin wil be decorated with some very nice details
  4. the use of the slope bricks, was an id wich was told me 3 years ago, when the fist version was nearly compleet. so i've took it apart ad orded some of the slope's to have a good look at it myself. its give it the legoish look to it. when it stands next to the bsb an ses it tecnique is very much the same and doenst fall out line (to much) now ive got 6 midsections on it. i've begon with 9 but it was to long some how it didn't look right.
  5. after a year of darkness, i've started again on builing a flag schip for my imperial guard's. here are some pic's on the progress i've made in a few weeks, can't spend more the 3 or 4 hours per week on it. coment and advice are always welkom http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/klaas/ship/sideview.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/klaas/ship/thumblehome.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/klaas/ship/figurehead.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/klaas/ship/rearview.jpg some update's i've made in a few day's

  10. You can visit the replica, just cross the bridge and park. Parking is free and you can walk straight to her. Last time is was there she was closed, but if you're lucky you can stand on the campaign deck and overlook the beauty! i think i will look around a bit more, the next time, whem i'am in Den Helder, it would aprobebly be a good source of inspiration, when i'm building up my HMS Phoenix again for the 4th time. and so will be your schip. PS for all dutch CP: does somebody know the owner, of the replica hull of De Vasa on marktplaats.nl

Hey CGH, last week i drove by the marine port in Den Helder, and i coult see some old looking rigging and masts, last tueseday i was in Den Helder again, (for my work) and i went to see what the thing was that i've seen. unfortunnatly i could't come close to it to see what it was, after googling a bit, i found out that it is a replica of the Prins Willim. your ship is making me proud to be a dutch guy. good luck with te project, and please keep posting those pics claus von nassau

  19. Captain Zuloo, you of all must know that, a soldier standing morning guard, must have a good filled botlle of RUM.......... hahahhaha, i like the idea but i agree on the colour, it would be better if it was a tan or brown colour, i know these are not around. good entry, nice hight over such a small base claus von nassau
  20. Wow your ships are amazing!!!!!!!!!! whe have gat a schip that has the same name........ mine is called the HMS Poenix i thought that i had a few cannons, but WOW!! i surender at any time when we meet in open waters love your work! claus von nassau
  21. My sigfig: Claus von Nassau Claus was 4 years, when he was adopted by a very welthy member of the VOC, when he was 16 years, he became a shipboy at the Nieuw Hoorn, after a very long voyage, he found himshelf in port Batavia. where he staid to learn, how to become a good merchant. after ripping some off the locals, he gaind himshelf a good fortune. after 20 years in Batavia, he choose to return to the Netherlands, afther they passed cape the brickhope, the where atacked bij captain green hair, and the yellow thief. he lost all his money, but he still is alive, and seeking revenge............... its, been 2 years sinds my return, today my new ship will sail out of the harbor at Hoorn, named De Jagende Leeuw (The Hunting Lion) this ship has onley one purpose, to clear the dutch waters of pirates, and piracy The crew of the Hunting Lion under the lead of Claus von Nassau
  22. saturday 2 weeks later, the HMS Phoenix, has been taken apart, i nearly finishd it, but i dindn't like the looks on iot anymore, after printing some pic. of real ship and replica's, and the comment mr. norrington left me. i've chosen to make a version 2.0. the hull is more realistic, more curved. the staircase's on the inside, have been placed in the middel so i can place more cannon's on the first and second deck. there is a shaft running down three decks for the cargo. the main deck is going to be curved, today i've made a good start on bow. the stern is just a litlle secret. i have no pictures of it, but that is just a matter of time......... claus von nassau
  23. hey guss, just wait untill the stern is placed on, that will thake away the massive look it has now, i wass convinced when i placed the stern on it, i now just need to take apart the entire rear end cause i don't like it anymore. i hope that i can make some progress next friday. claus
  24. the row boats have been placed up, because i was to focusd on the third gun dek, i forgot to move them afloor higher, because i jused 2x2x3 slopes i could't maintain the striping that was created on the first and second deck, i'am working out a decal witch maintains the striping on the third gun deck. what do you not like about the bow Mr. Norrington, if you got any advice , let me know. that counts for you all, got any advice, please post it!!!! claus von nassau
