  1. I've just found it hidden in a subpage of Italian website. Here's the link. http://city.us.lego.com/it-it/applications/trackplanner.aspx
  2. Those platforms look great! Nice creation. I see you used a lot of small plates to reproduce tiles layout. I'd like to create some of them, but I think that they could costs too much with all those pieces. Perhaps you could simplify it to decrease parts and price.
  3. They can't be compared. 3 Euro black box is for storage, while this is a showcase. Anyway yes, it's really expensive for 4 plastic pieces...
  4. I think that two sets are too much. Cargo sets have 3 wagons. I'm going to buy only an additional engine. This way you don't have to build a new jakob bogie.
  5. Congratulations for your collection, LGB. It's impressive!
  6. Hi guys, I want to share with you how I store my trains. I think this is a good solution as the black plastic boxes protect engines and wagons, can be stacked and cost less than 3 Euros. I use a 11 liter SAMLA black box container with bubble wrap and lid, that fits perfectly 1 train set. For its internal size it can contains the entire Maersk Train set or other sets with 4 wagons, like PF Red Cargo Train.
  7. Thank you, Dave. I've just sent an email to LEGO Customer Service.
  8. Yes, thank you Alain. I don't want to install the Mono framework only to use Bluebrick. RailModeller doesn't have flexible tracks. My question is if anyone knows how to use LEGO Track Planner flash-based app, that has been recently removed from LEGO website.
  9. Thank you for your reply, but BlueBrick is for Windows only.
  10. LEGO has recently removed its official Track Planner. http://city.lego.com/en-US/applications/trackplanner.aspx Do you know why? I've tried to recover it using archive.org, but the app doesn't load, probably because it needs external resources that have been removed. http://web.archive.org/web/20120529170425/http://city.lego.com/en-US/applications/trackplanner.aspx Any suggestions? I would like to use it for some projects because it's simple and works on OS X. Thanks.
  11. Fixed.
  12. Just added a note in my first message. Thank you.
  13. You can replace them with 2 x 3036 PLATE 6x8. BrickLink has thousands.
  14. All the bricks are available except for the 2494 GLASS 4x5 in blue framed container. This is not a real problem as you can paint it (or cover it with a blue sticker) before assembling inside the window frame.
  15. Hi all, inspired by MOC containers created by CamelBoy68 (please excuse me, CamelBoy68, if I "took inspiration" from your creation ), I've just created 4 new 20' standard containers that can be placed on Maersk Train wagons. Side view Front view Back view Some notes (and differences from official Maersk and CamelBoy68's containers): I've used 2 x 2453 BRICK 1x1x5 for the two back edges. This increases solidity, as in real containers. Green corrugated containers is made of staggered 30137 PALISADE BRICK 1x4 and 30136 PALISADE BRICK 1x2 (instead of 1x2 bricks only) to increase solidity. As you can see in front view, I've used 1 x 2431 FLAT TILE 1x4, 6 x 87079 FLAT TILE 2x4 and 2 x 3068 FLAT TILE 2x2 as flat basement in order to ease placing goods inside. I've replaced 3009 BRICK 1x6 above the door with 2 x 3666 PLATE 1x6 above the door and 2 x 3024 PLATE 1x1 below. This to perfectly center the door (3 elements below and 3 above including feet and roof). Blue framed container is created using 2493 WINDOW FRAME 1x4x5 and 2494 GLASS 4x5. Red framed container is created using 74968 WALL ELEMENT 1x2x3 and 87552 WALL ELEMENT 1x2x2. All the bricks are available except for the 2494 GLASS 4x5 in blue framed container. This is not a real problem as you can paint it (or cover it with a blue sticker) before assembling inside the window frame. Due to low availability of 3027 PLATE 6x16 in stores, roof and base plates can be replaced with 4 x 3036 PLATE 6x8. I hope you enjoyed it. If you want, I can share my LDD project.
  16. With a fast shipping you could get your set from BrickLink too.
  17. Why not BrickLink?
  18. After a restart it seems to work now. Thank you for your help.
  19. I'm on OS X 10.8. Don't know if it's a bug on that particular version. There are several other known bugs for that release.
  20. Congratulations, CamelBoy68! Awesome containers. Could you please share building instructions or inventory for those yellow and blue containers? Thanks.
  21. I've tried several times. It doesn't work on my project. What do you do? Angle dropdowns stay disabled and compass doesn't appear on top left when using Hinge tool with flex tracks.
  22. Thanks for your replies, MWAH and Lazarus. I prefer using LDD. I've managed to create a template with the exact dimensions and angles of the switch using some plates and flexible tracks. It's not pretty, but it works (see attached image). Anyway it's a shame that the PF switches are not included. There's another problem. Flexible tracks are not flexible... Do you know how to bend them?
  23. I'm interested in #53404 and #53407 switches too. They are not in latest LDD 4.3.5. Does Anyone know how to add them? Thanks.
  24. Hi all, just subscribed to eurobricks.com only to join TRAIN Tech forum. I'm a fan of LEGO and real trains since I was one meter tall. Now that I'm 33, my wife gave me my first LEGO Train (7938 Passenger Train) as a gift and I'm now starting my own collection. At the moment I own the following trains: - 7938 Passenger Train - 3677 Red Cargo Train - 7939 Cargo Train - 10219 Maersk Train (motorized) Emerald Night is in my wish list.
  25. Thanks for your clarification, LLL.
