Why you didn't tell me earlier!!!!

Not yet, the tracking said it's in Italy already but somewhere in the middle of nowhere BTW I only had 8043 parts, so I need to order everything.. Agree, very useful , also for those moc need to hide the battery with difficult access They shipped on 14th...let's wait and see, in the meanwhile I keep going on

Hi David, yes, you need to follow the first part for the instruction of the lower part of the arm ( 1-19 book 2 pg. 45-72 ), then Jurgen tell us to replace step 1-15 book 2 pg. 59-68 for the higher part....then as magic the boom on Jurgen instructions is done ...so you need to figure out what is the step to connect the 2 parts of the boom. I also suggest to don't mount the 2 sided LA until you mount the boom on the body of excavator ( in the picture Jurger shows already assembled before ). I can give you one hint more, first the 2 pcs 1*7 Yellow thin, you might not recognize that the 7th ( or 1st ) hole is hided inside the connector of LA ( see below circle in PINK )...at the beginning I tought Jurgen has made mistake in the part list, but it's not. Another suggestion is to don't become mad if the instructions original have the long black axle ( see below circle in BLUE ) while Jurgen has done an extension ( but it's not explained, so you'd better stick to the instructions and I can guarantee everything is working ok ) Last last , if you didn't recognize, the upper 3 hole grey it's not a thick liftarm but it's 2 think liftarm with 1 hole in middle and 2 axle hole because it needs to stay at 90 degrees Any doubt please give me a signal....we are on the same ship!!! Yes... I spent 56€ + 122$ total including shipment. What about you?

Hi everybody, I have some progress and wow... Jurgen... you really want to make it hard for your followers about the boom construction Anyway...it's fun very fun....and is teaching me a lot! I just tried to link with an M motor to all the back gearing and everything seems working well so far...I'm on the right track

OK very clar now....even if I think it's really a big problem of BL. I hope in new version they improve this.... Agree that some steps could be explained better but this is making also the building more intresting for me that I am a rookie of MOC...when I finish a step I try to verify the gearing if it's ok and I try to understand why this is made like this and so on.... I can easily make it for you, but I suggest you go to rebrickable and add your 8043 then click on build this MOC on the Ultimate and it will show what are you missing. Btw please find the xml ready for you attached. Watch out in the rebrickable file you will find the recharghable battery box as 87513c01 but I discovered the new and sealed one you find easier and cheaper on BL it's the 8878, that on Rebrickable it's identified as a Set and not as a Part. Anyway I am also building, we can exchange help if needed! Ultimate8043_extra_parts_out_of_8043.xml

Yesterday I received the first part of the brick I ordered on Bricklink ( that is everything except XL Motor, PF lights, extension wire and 8878 battery pack ) Very easy to recognize that the gearing is more complex. I almost arrived the start of boom part...then my eyes almost shutting down... I will continue next monday!

Hi guys, I tried to figure out what it the expense to build it from zero parts ( because I am building the Ultimate 8043 as well so I need my 8043 parts ) . I also would like to make it in RED ( for those who needs I can share the xml parts for orange switched to red ) , only for the orange switched to red. After a quick check seems the expense is damn huge... I feel something like 450€... is there anything wrong with me? Do you suggest to buy any other set can lower my expense? That should not be the Unimog, because I don't make it Orange btw... Ant suggestion is appreciated

eheheh don't tell anybody!!! Sometimes happens Welcome on Eurobricks btw -
Thanks Alasdair Ryan I just bought the parts to make the Ultimate 8043, waiting my orders from BL. Jurgen stuff are super. BTW, I love the design of Jennifer one, but I don't like the black tail ahahah that's why I would like something RC....maybe one day when I become a PRO like you guys I will make mine as well. But first I need to accumulate tons of farts and the best practice I feel is buying instructions of PROs and assemble MOC...

Do you guys think it's possible to make it fully RC with LA? Don't hate me but I don't like pneumatics too much...

sapo117 replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
imagine that I started with 8862 when I was really a child...already the passion for excavator was clear...you can imagine my face when I saw 8043 fist time after almost 20 years I am so happy to be back doing brick...even if I am almost 30.... but from what I see here maybe I am one of the youngest ahahahahahah -
