Hi all! I am going to sell my 6279 Skull Island. I would like to sell it here on EB, because then I know for sure it will come to a good home be sold to someone who take care of it. The problem is that I don´t know how much I can sell it for. Its in pretty good shape, but I´ve played with is when I was younger, so some pieces can show a little playwear (for example the skull symbol on the captain hat has faded a little). All the pieces are in good shape, except for the baseplate which has one or two damaged studs (no serious damage, the studs are still "working"). So I would like to know what you would pay for this set (posting doesn´t mean that you have to buy it). Come with a bid, then I´ll (maybe) PM you, that is if I think that the price is high enough. Of course you can decline it then too, just PM m that. EDIT: The only piece that is missing are a pair of yellow epaulettes. I know that 2 white round 2x1 pieces and 1 black 1x8 plate are missing on the pics, but they will be included in the set. Wow!! That´s one of the best house MOCs i´ve ever seen! I love the light and "clean" colours. Where did you get all those medium blue bricks?

Great review. I don´t really like this set, so I voted "average". And the reddish brown monkey isn´t new, it did come in the 4+ Pirate sets too.

Well, mine actually is very simple. I´m doing stop-motion animations and my name is Dennis. Dennis + animator = Dennimator. On youtube it´s Dennimation, though. (Haven´t uploaded anything there yet, my brickfilms are crap... But I have got a great idea! )

I did a search through the "education" site and found some more sets, but they were ridiculusly overpriced! For example, a Mindstorms kit was over $3000! It may not be overpriced if you use the price-per-piece count (remember, it´s Mindstorms), but I don´t think that a private person can afford that. But I found one interesting thing, they have the 8382 Hot Busters Racers set, which normally shouldn`t be in stock, for sale.

I would (and do) use the Megabloks part. I normally don´t like clone brands, but that part is reall useful. Wish TLC could make similiar pieces (and 1 x 1 ones too)... Guess that won´t ever happen.

The first part´s name will be "Outrage; Dino Attack". Two villains, a crazy professor and Dr. Inferno, invades Brickville(my town). Then a group of heroes (the Agents, my sigfig, and some very carefully chosen EB sigfigs, so far Hinckley, Sinner and Agentrick57) challenges them. Teaser will come soon... It will be in Swedish with English subtitles.

The idea is to make a brickfilm that (almost) only includes EB sigfigs (except for the work people, like policemen, firemen, pilots and so on). Okay, that´s making things clearer. Thanks!

OK, I´ll maybe keep it brown, I´ll get the black pieces and post it here for comparison. I´ll maybe even start a poll.

Thanks! What do you mean with lack of color? Some steam engines were totally black. (If you mean the bottom, those parts only exist in black.) Yes, it does fit on the tracks.

Yesterday I was bored and found some train parts in one of my parts bins, so I decided to make a steam engine MOC. It actually came out better than I thought it would. I´ve chosen to make a vignette based on a true but still scary story, the 11th of September.
