  1. I think forced would be a good word here - the codrex was a nice idea and all, but... as people have said, really out of place. It always seems like every year starts off with such potential (IE: Piraka on Voya-Nui, Barraki war under the waves, Toa VS. Makuta in an all-new arial enviroment, etc.), but then gets wasted when the Toa arrive. 07 Would be my prime example to that... Legends 6 was awsome, and then bam, cheesy Toa Mahri hit the scene and all that potential - gone. 2008 could have ben better too... the ending was amazing, but the vehicles, the Codrex - coundn't someone have come up with better options than that? Maybe a cooler way of awakening Mata Nui? Giant Swamp Rahi? The list goes on and on... *Ends rant*
  2. ...somehow, though, I don't think that you'd want to be alive for what Terry has in mind. They'd be better off dead, for their own sake. I want em' to live, though. Their suffering in the MU amuses me. XD
  3. I know I'm late here, but... Gresh looks awsome. I'm just glad they brought back Metru-Green; I thought it was possibly heading down the road that Mata-Green did... at least they are giving us color back in our sets again. That blending on him is awsome, IMO.
  4. And if it wasn't for the fact that he had to write the battle like that for the little tikes, imagine how it could have really turned out... XD
  5. Basically, yeah. Bitil and Chirox tried to ambush him (this was right after he found out he was an av-matoran), and he basically blew a fuse and tired to kill them. He even said he was going to kill them if they came to close. XD
  6. Edit @ Dor: K, spoilers fixed. I just spoilered the whole thing when I put it up, then left... got my tags mixed up.
  7. Oh great... the little guy looks good enough that I want to buy him now, and that means... Another year of blowing all my money on all the new Bionicles. Crap. =P (BTW, I saved the image of Rannu, if anyone wants it... I could make a nice avatar out of that.)
  8. Well, I'm pretty sure someone said this before, but that means... *cries* MISERIX!!! NOOOOO!!!! ... Well, that was a shocker. Wasn't expecting that. Let all the other Makuta die; but why Miserix? I understand, but... man, so much potential... ah, well, makes for good plotline, I guess. XD
  9. Dude... not nececarry. I'm OK with swearing, but you don't need to drop F-bombs every other word to make a point. Just makes you look immature; and I'm sure no body wants to be looked at that way. ANYWAYS =P Yeah, it would have been nice if he hadn't told all of the whining members that kept asking him "OO-OO, GREG, I NEED TO KNOW IF DA NUVA WILL DIE AND STUFFS"... like Ikki said; took a way a lot of suspense. I, myself, actually thought (hoped XD) they were going to kill off one of the Nuva... if I had still thought that when I got BL11, it would have been that much more enjoyable of a read for me. Personally, even though Teridax just proved himself (once again) to be the most harcore, badass villan we know... I would have liked it if there was a bit more suffering and death on the Nuva's part. I know they have to make this appealing to 8-year olds and stuff, but... even though they did it last year with Matoro, I still think they could have pulled it off somehow. I just see it as, if they are putting that much on the line, and there are quotes from all three books stating that "The toa knew this may be there last fight" and such, they should have at least followed through with it and killed one, either having one of the Makuta accidentily go overboard *coughIcaraxcough*, etc. Although, now that I think of it, I can only imagine the reaction the majority of the fanbase would have. XD To Ikki's point: I think his 'bad moves' are really just how his job works. He, unfortunatly, had guidlines he has to cling to and a younger audiance he has to please, and a really cocky fanbase in some places - that's not to say he doen't make bad choices on his own occasionaly (=P), but... But that's just my two cents on the whole thing. I'm morbid that way anyways, so don't mind me ranting and raving...
  10. Suppose' I'll add my two cents on the matter, seeing as I've been lutking around here watching this place: Skrall: Mmm, I've never been one for Red/Black, but those blades are win. I really like the feel to him; interested to see how his body fits together. 8/10. Gresh: Ick, that gap in his armor isn't so hot, but all the fantastic recolors on him are. Mask is pretty cool to, along with the blades that make his sheild up. 8/10. Strakk: I keep messing him up with Skrall. Sadly. I LOVE this one - very yeti-esque in my mind; the blue/white pieces on him are also a large improvment in the color department compared to the last few years. That ax and mask (You can see his friggin' teeth!) then pushed me over the edge; I think he's one of the bst of the bunch. So, 9.5/10 (Body's a little odd) Vorox: ...But this guy blew Skrall away. TAN!!! TAN!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him; such a beautiful color scheme and design. Tail is a wee bit high, but the color scheme, new armor, and friggin' awsome head make up for that. 10/10. Atrix: Ew. Not diggin' the lack of body armor, and cookie-cutter design. The gold is nice, but he just doesn't do it for me. But, the villans always seem to be better than the Toa/Heros for me, so... 6/10. Malum: Another meh design for me. I like the chestplate and the color sceme, but... he's missing something. Way to simple, wish he had a much better design. To remenicent of the Carapar, for me. 5.5/10. Small sets: Berix: Nice colors; mask is a little odd. Blue flame won me over, though. 7/10 Zesk: Mask + Color scheme + Stinger + Four legs = WIN. 10/10 Metus: Ooo, very elemental. Something I love. Headgear-thing is odd, but the snowflake makes up for it. 9/10 Atakus: Black/Blue = AWSOME. Why couldn't Skrall have that on his color scheme? Blades are nice too, as is his mask. 8/10 Raanu (Whatever his anme is): Nice colors. I like the red blades and the mask, too. Not much else to say. 8/10 Tarduk: Um... mask is really wierd. I'll just be getting him for his claws anyways, so... 6/10 Tuma: Hey, I really like him. He isn't the best of titans I've ever seen, but that mask (watever it is...) is really cool. I like the blades and color scheme as well. 9/10 Fero and Skirmix: Meh. Recolors are nice, but basically another fenrakk. Not much to say here. 8/10 And that's basically it. I somehow, deep down, regret spending my money on 2008... these sets are so good for their colors, really. I was hoping Lego would bring Tan back, too, and for once... they obliged in my wishes. So, I'm looking forward to next year, needless to say. =P
  11. Well.. not to be jumping ahead here, but how much (Or what, rather) info can we expect?
  12. Somehow, I don't think the book(s) are online. Sure, you can probably find a synopsis, but I think you'll have to buy em' to read em'. Sorry. Anywho, nice stuff there, Grievous. That little bit about the Hagah looking for Teridax ought to be interesting... big, happy reunion, anyone? They'll be so happy to see each other. Yeah right. :P I sense a battle in the future... provided Terry gets his body back. That, and I must see that spread of Mata-Nui. Sure, like Makaru said, it might ruin Bionicle forever... but at the same time, I need to know. *Drools in anticipation*
