Building on the discussion of the road-baseplates, I would be really happy to see introduction of modular parts for highway. Remember set 6600 from 2000s? I was lucky to grab it on Bricklink, just cause of the overpass.

One of the most uninteresting years for me... Why is almost everything is out of scale? I mean, a beach buggy wider than a full size truck, seriously? Dozer got a better scale, but still oversized. Same with snow plow. I can understand long-term evolution from 4-wide classics to 6-wide standard, but then keep vehicles same scale, if you need a more expensive set don't just do an overblown vehicle - add some structures to it, be creative ftw. Isn't its the point of the city that everything should fit together? And then you have a 4x4 which is wider than half of road on a city baseplate... Will buy only excavator + truck, probably toilet vehicle. My only serious city investment this year is only the detectives office.

Is it just me or sets really look hideous compared to previous years? Many models lack details and look as if they are just built from big size bricks. But finally a decent normal size bulldozer though. The snow plow is good but doesn't make sense to me in a plastic world. I Like the truck with toilet though.

One should say the attention to detail and overall look have much improved.

Frankly speaking, having such a volume of bricks you should concentrate more on the style of the buildings rather than height.

Now that's an Apple store I see you're still in search for MacBook design. Why don't you simply turn these 2 connected gray 2x1 plates upside down and leave them with no extra parts? You will get flat screen and studs will work like rubber feet and as a bonus you will be able to "close the lid".. (or you can just turn over only screen part of notebook. And for the glass walls it's still better to use 6x5x1 transparent walls, in case you have enough of these.

Not sure if it will be approved for CUUSO - Apple is a trademark and licensing required. But it can also go as Noname electronics shop.

Agree on most points, especially a supermarket, maybe even standalone Megamarket. Car dealership also sounds like a good idea.

Monstrous! Although i would have done the lights in green, same as the body. Genius pantograph from skiis and pirate wrenches. Why won't Lego make a classic remake like this?

I mean you may not try to copy the original logo, but to make some kind of look-alike logo, to make it more clear compare brands Chevron and Octan. And what these mini-antennaes on tables resemble? The whole thing is Macbook as i think.

Just add custom stickers to 1x1 (iPod nano), 1x2 (iphone) and 2x2 (ipad) tiles, that will work better. You may make logo more customized and differing from original, more Lego-brick stylish.

Well, now its my turn. As to me, to tell the truth, the family house seems like garbage. Only a kid or a disabled one can`t build the same or even better house, as its simple as a sheet of paper. It`s targeted mainly at these who can only form their layouts from basic sets. The parts included into the set are useless and not unique, for the price of the set you can buy much more parts and build something really adequate. Passing to the Public Transport Center - it`s a total dissapointment. So much wait for a bunch of plain sheds and tram which is actually a list of assembled parts. The same creepy house doors, no articulations - did it really worth the waiting? I would have paid the double, even triple price if it only was more complicated and a breakthrough product, not a childish mockery. Though I like the sweeper van and the coach bus. Well, other 2010 sets apart from the fire ones (too simple) are really great. I like the airport sets, all train sets (except for the passenger one, its simply an ugly one), and especially the Lego truck - i wont apply the stickers so it will go great wit my cargo terminal and maybe will shorten the hauler. Small car and seaplane are quite useless to me, i dont find any point to buy them.

Well, it`s a good statement from Igor Makarov with whom I had personally met, but this doesn`t explain why the overall style and design is copied in such an accurate manner, not just only the logo is the case.

This lies the rub. Russian version of LEGO Shop doesn`t exist. Switching the country just redirects you to original lego.com site.

Hello dear fans and embassadors! I would have never came to such a topic until I met a rarely disgusting behavior of one local company enrolled in lego products retail. Well, I`m talking about the Kindermix. As you can easily figure out they are using the original lego.com pattern, nearly copied one can say. As you already know TLG has prohibited using of it`s name and logo by third-party organisations without special permission. Moreover, the Kindermix has close relationship with the local TLG branch which can embarass you at all. All this could not be as bad as it is now if this site hadn`t been pretending being an official Lego shop, which can deceive small children who believe this to be true. I ventured to post this here because The Embassy is our last chance to attract attention to this terms and conditions violation as our numerous mails to official global and local support didn`t have any impact. I`m totally agree with you guys, the only great thing is the tanker, but still it has so dull and already used front grill... The airport is also a bit hackwork, but i like the new plane livery and the terminal parts will be a great addition to my new already big terminal made of two 7894. But i like the tower. So, bad as a model good for parts. The service car is also out of time design. Yellow seaplane is a big dissappointment for me, i was expecting to see smthing like civil 2008 Police plane, but with other build. So wouldnt buy. The same about police - chopper is sleek, but too big again and ... its fire heli! How long can you produce it? You see, phoinix is absolutely right, lego dont make any more efforts in designing new models, they overall good but very very bad in details... This 2010 design could be great in 2005, 2006, at least 2007 when we had <insert that tiresome argument> older sets to compare with, but now we cant see any improements... Well, in my opinion 2010 fire sets is a total disappointment. And boat is a very close copy of 7739 coast guard boat, even the top. But on the other side, its not great for me because i already have 2007 fire station. Piglets set is a little boring as it presents the same - a fench and a tractor. Why not add something more different? We already have 2 tractors.
