Yeah, and here's a photo of someone clearly using new wheels on old track: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Legoyoke...66/imgp2804.jpg I just dug out an old rail myself (I only have a couple), and I see what Sinner is saying. Not only does the old rail system have more friction with the pattern on top of the rails, but the new wheels seem to touch them with both the inner and outer discs on the top and bottom of the rails (whereas the new wheels only touch the new rails with the main outer discs on top of the rails).

I'm 99% certain that it's fine to run new trains (RC) on old rails. I know that the new wheels and rails are a big bigger, but it shouldn't be an issue (unless you run them really fast...?) I haven't done it personally, since I am a 9V fan, but I know it has been done. I'll do some searching to see if I can find more info.

Well, all of the gauges are the same, so it's just a matter of powering the trains. Anything battery controlled is fine on any rails, but 9V needs the special metal rails to run. See the "Track" section of this page for more basic info on linking multiple rail systems: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_trains

That was excellent! It's always good to hear from Lego representatives in laid-back personal interviews. It's a shame about Harry Potter, though. I understand the reasoning behind it, and at least we definitely saw it coming. I do appreciate TLG's growing efforts to reach the adult fan-base, and we've already seen great results (Medieval Market Village, Green Grocer, etc.) . Thanks for posting this!

Plus, I find it kind of humorous that this claim comes from none other than "SWMAN"... the true castle fan . Sure, I know that one can be into multiple themes, but it's still ironic.

In my opinion, Peril in Peru is easily the best-looking Lego plane that is all brick-built, and that beats big molded pieces any day. I find that it's much more impressive and satisfying to see a greater amount of smaller parts come together than fewer, bigger ones.

In my experience, whenever part of an order is back-ordered, the rest of it ships separately when available (with no extra charge). So, you should still get the other sets soon!

For stand-up, Demetri Martin is my favorite. Runners up include Jim Gaffigan and Mitch Hedberg. Otherwise, I love the comedy (including many voices) of Seth MacFarlane.

My last was the Medieval Market Village, and I wouldn't have it any other way . That set is beautiful.

Yes, it's definitely great to see another city fan. Go real-world! Though, what's great about Lego is that good cities can be highlighted with random nods to other themes, like having Star Wars battles in the streets, the Penguin's henchmen robbing banks, and giant trolls hiding in alleys...

Wow... I can't get over how enormous and meticulous that is!

The soldier's hair is definitely my favorite, it looks great with him!

... You are also entitled to type with correct grammar and spelling . That was a mess.

The current king figure from Castle Siege is only worth around $5 (USD). Maybe I'm just used to the pricing of Star Wars figures, but that's already not very much .

Yeah, what Hinckley is saying is that these photos are great for getting an early preview, but they are definitely not supplied by TLG. These pics are preliminary, subject to change, and any hosting of them on Eurobricks can open a can of worms with copyright law issues (as I understand it). The same goes for the three new castle images. So, let's just enjoy the links to other sites for now .

Shanghai Chase for sure. The vehicles have a more classic feel to them, and they can be used in many more settings that just military. Also, while I love having the soldiers like the ones in Race for the Stolen Treasure, the figures in Shanghai Chase are definitely more exclusive and have a greater variety. Besides, who can argue with two mob/gangster figures made by TLG itself? Did we ever think we'd see the day?
-
Wow... I'm jealous beyond words . I sure hope TLG comes through in 2009 with some sort of public release.
-
No he didn't... look in his original photo EDIT: Well, you caught your mistake before I posted.

It looks to me that our current information skips 7640 altogether... Any guess what it could be?

I have a sealed 7029 Skeleton Ship Attack. Interested in buying/trading?

Very nice! I love the wrapping paper spread on the floor

The only way that I know of for preordering this set in the U.S. is through amazon.com, which also offers preorders for almost all of the January 2009 sets. I just don't know if Amazon would actually throw in a bonus promotional polybag... frankly, I doubt it

Yeah, I had that exact same problem with the Loot Island's alligator head being too hard to snap on~ mine shows white stress marks too. It must just be this batch, because my dark-green alligator from the Indiana Jones River Chase was fine.

Sounds good to me, so why not? In.

Really? I'm going there right now then, because it would be great to have one less place to deal with on Black Friday. Thanks! Edit: Well, I just got the last 2 at my local Walmart, 48.88 just like you said. Thank you so much!
