The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think more than 5 days is needed to determine that, they've just come out! This is clearly unrelated to demand which, in any event, would be at its peak now. -

I think whoever designer the latest Wonder Woman set didn't have screen shots to work from - Ares looks...slightly different!- 3,020 replies

That republic bumber is a sensational set! So many play features and the quality of the build looks great. Really impressed with the standard of the sets so far, they all look like a bit of thought went in to them. -

In a thread about rumours... anyway, sets are great! Terrific even! The walker looked a bit odd at first but that second picture really 'clarifies' things. Now for the rest! -

It would be nice is lego could agree on a style for these marvel sets - when you go from ultra detailed Spiderman via 'standard' Iron Man to 'basic' Vulture, in one set, I'm just not sure what's going on! As for Shocker, he looks like no one had much inspiration that day...- 5,808 replies

Shame the arm printing seems to have vanished from these final designs. Seemed to be there on earlier pictures. -

Heligoyle is £29.99, only set I didn't get... I like the set, but that did feel a bit expensive. I do want that exclusive figure in that set so I'll crack eventually... -

Knighton Castle is £109.99 in U.K., it's in Smyths now... ...and it's glorious. Terrific display piece and loaded with play features (shuttle fits 5 figures!) The whole wave is excellent (oh, the Rock Climber is £49.99) -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
There's a question - is The Lego Batman Movie sets the best lego has ever been? I can't think of a theme where almost every set without exception was so excellent and that's to say nothing of the figures - surely for figures there's even less of a doubt? -

For the price, I'm just not sure you get much with the rathtar and arrowhead sets, £85 seems like a lot for a corridor or ship no one has seen before. -

As I've just ordered the sets for immediate collection I'm guessing the rumours of cancellation weren't well sourced! Love nexo knights and this wave is glorious! -

Think we need to be careful rationalising designs of fictitious craft by real world trends... Force Awakens deliberertly copied much of what we've seen before either as a cynical and lazy way of making the film 'look' like star wars or the deliberate copying was an attempt at world building and to avoid changes that might seem jarring (e.g Naboo spaceship design vs established Star Wars 'look') -

Maybe it's me, but when decorating I paint all 4 walls. When a KEYRING has leg printing and arm printing I have to wonder what exactly keeps causing these half finished figures - if it's a desire to avoid 'cluttering' the design then why is the torso so detailed? My thousands of minifigs on display end up being this bizarre mix of styles - lego isn't even consistent within a single set (compare new Thor to new Loki). The lego friends sets can feature dual moulding and printing, can't I get atleast as good in sets that cost more? Am I supposed to just be grateful to lego, my money isn't enough?- 3,020 replies

My eyes! Banned images! Save me mods! I do love these figures, there was a lot of scope for Lego to phone this in (*cough* Mavel sets) but lego didn't. Kudos! Funny how - again - lego sets are the source of spoilers for these films.- 3,020 replies

It's puzzling, isn't it? These ultra detailed torsos that just...stop. No matter how good you are as a designer, I just don't think you can 'carry' a figure based on the torso alone, it will always look incomplete.- 5,808 replies

Well, with the exception of a rubbish superman figure, the rest are great and SO much better than the recent Marvel figures (why can't they all be good!)- 3,020 replies

I wonder what happened to that triangle tank? That was the set that caught my eye. overall, destiny's bounty is great...but the rest...meh -
A great set, delighted to now own it. The 'play' features are cleverly integrated, a nice touch. The front panels were tricky to position...for the Lego designer, they are shown as misaligned on the box! C'mon guys! Just needs a bit of careful placement, isn't hard!

You're getting 4 sets costing more than $100 and minifigs in 'basic' sets getting the premium treatment - let's not pretend Lego didn't throw everything at this theme
