New Lego.com Shop Customer - Orders cancelled
bpbill replied to Distorted Vision's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Your lucky up there. Living on the South Coast the nearest Lego store to me is 32 miles in a westerly direction or 42 miles in a northerly direction. Nowhere East of me and South is just sea. -
Yes it is thank you :)

Am unable to access the new forum if I am logged into Eurobricks, but can do so if I log out. Seems to be the same for other Vassal users so could well be a permissions issue? I was looking for this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107185

For me I get Oh but it does work if I log out first. So looks like a permissions issue.

I bought this a month ago and my instructions have the same problem. I've only just started building it and had a few incorrect parts for part 1 of the build. Am waiting until I hit the end of part 2 before I do anything about it though.

Go for the Fire Brigade. You will only regret it when it becomes unavailable and you realise you missed it.

Playmobil is also marketed at a specific age range ie pre-teen children, therefore they probably profit from seeing their target audience continuously being refreshed and coming new to old models and sets.

Part of the fun (for me) is going through the whole process of setting up wanted lists and sourcing the parts through Bricklink. It's a learning curve in how to keep the charges to a minimum etc. but it's certainly addictive. Try using this topic Bricklink Questions you will probably get much more detailed answers :)

Tesco Extra in Hastings had 7498 Police Station for £36. Unfortunately I could only talk the wife into buying one :(

You wo'nt be signing up for another forum but utilising the one for the site you have already signed up for. There is no extra sign up for their forums. Personally I don't find them the easiest to use though :) -
I keep looking enviously at the modulars. Welcome to Eurobricks

Hi from over the pond :)

I am a collector, I colect things. However I am not an investor. My various collections are for the enjoyment of myself and others and that goes the same with Lego. My kids can play with it as much as they like. However I do get first dibs on the bits I need at the time and they have to have the rest :p

Hello hello. Only trouble with the beach is sand gets into the bricks.

Thanks for that, Brickish was a new one on me and I hadn't considered car boot sales as they are generally places I tend to steer well clear of,, guess I will have to have a change of heart.

Hmm looked at pick a brick must say it did seem a bit pricey to me. I'll stick with Bricklink for the pieces I need now and keep a look out for anyone selling their Lego cheaply :)

Hi all I am Bpbill and I have recently returned to Lego due to my two small children starting to collect Lego City sets. When I was a child my father used to buy me sets regularly and I had quite a collection, but sadly due to various circumstances all those pieces are lost to me so as a family we are starting from scratch again when getting pieces. The kids are enjoying their Lego sets and some are made, remade and played with quite regularly, so I'm trying to start my own small! (yeah right) collection to run alongside their sets allowing me to build more sculptural type models. So my question is, and I need to ask here as I can't post in the buying forum due to being too new :p How do people source standard bricks such as 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 etc and plates? I have just bought some from Bricklink (for a project I am starting now) but wondered if there was a better way to build a collection of those types of pieces for future projects?
