  1. I've decided to pick up some constraction parts for the first time in probably a year, built a head and it feels kinda nice. This is gonna be fun.
  2. I too am sad about the bar (it was originally a minifigure's axe), but I seemed to have cut it years ago. It was sitting in a bag with cut parts from my parts modding days. At least it was already broken/cut, I only trimmed off enough to make it fit the Technic bar. I'm not too sad about that. Thanks for the compliment on the antennas, I'm still quite surprised I was able to get those to stick without falling out!
  3. From time to time I pick up a clone brand set to see if the parts are any good, I've only found a couple clone pieces that I can generally use. Kreo, being one of the best clone brands I've ever found, produces a really great variation of a 1x1 cheese slope with vents in the side. It's made in black and light grey and the light grey it's manufactured in matches the old Lego light grey, not new grey, very closely. Here's an image if anyone is interested.
  4. I never really have posted anything here on Eurobricks even though I've had an account for over a year, decided I should change that. I've been building Lego Zoids for over a year now and just got them featured in the November 2013 issue (#26) of Brickjournal. If you are unfamiliar with Zoids, it was a Japanese toyline created in the 1980's that featured animal/dinosaur-like mecha fighting for control over a planet called Zi. Since then, a couple different animes have been made and brought Zoids back into the public eye. I've been recreating them (both the ones depicted in the various animes and from the original toys) and I built a new one earlier this week and got a group shot of them today. Here's some close-ups of the Zoids in the picture: Blade Liger Storm Sworder Gun Sniper Ultrasaurus Dibison and Command Wolf Let me know what you guys think, I've got a couple more of these guys in the process of being built.
  5. Thanks everyone, I'll try some of these out. I've got most of the build finished with the exception of 2 pieces that aren't in the LDD Catalog (yet). I'll keep you guys posted as to if I figure out anything!
  6. That might be the best way I can do this, but it just doesn't look right on the real model. I'll try it on LDD and see how it looks. And yes, it is a Dibison! The mech I'm building on LDD right now is a Storm Sworder. Here's a link to my Dibison - http://www.flickr.com/photos/kylepeckham/9481840267/in/set-72157630954904456 I'll share the lxf file if I run into anything else, I'll just try flipping the cone around to replace that piece. Thanks for the "cheat," I'll see if the scaffolding technique will work. It's worth a shot, thanks for the explanation as to why it's not recognized, I was wondering about that.
  7. Thanks for the compliments on the mech! It looks better in person, I just wanted to get a digital version for the instructions. I've seen some tricks that people have used to add illegal connections onto LDD builds, I was wondering if there was anything possible that could do what I've got here. If not, thanks for the quick reply, I've been stumped with this for about 30 minutes.
  8. Hey guys, amateur LDD moccer here. I'm working on making one of my models into an LDD build for various reasons, and I've ran into some trouble. It's a mech that I am replicating, and I'm absolutely stuck as to how you outsmart the program to put a Technic pin into the back of a normal brick. Here's a screenshot of the build for reference. I'm working with LDD Extended Edition. Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm not sure if connections like this are even possible with LDD. Thank you.
  9. That ship is very pleasing to the eye, using those long slope bricks was a great idea. The buildings are ace as well!
  10. Seems like fun, I might actually be interested in doing this! I haven't done anything microspace in a while...
