Boomingham brought up the rear of the party. He leaned over to Amorith. "Don't worry about being scared. It happens to the best of us. Besides, you had quite the plan earlier... listen, does Sylph throw you off a little? What's up with all the mystery? I say we rip off the mask and see what he's got under it right before we get on the ship back to Eubric. If he's a creepy crawly, or an orc, we could just board the ship and leave him here to but useless over-priced canteens for the rest of his life. You in?"

<Power surges through Hybros. He may pick one of the following options: (add 1 permanent point to his health OR power OR except 75 Gold). Other cookies act the same way. And now I'm done with QMing for that quest >
-
"I have a better plan. You could throw a Bomb." "As for me, I'll target Zombie T from the front row. I heard that Zombie was a Orc while he was alive. Never trust an Orc, especailly a undead one. But I'd really appreciate it, Sylph, if you threw one of your bombs and put yourself first in the line up!"

<Still Quest Mastering a little, just because I want to make sure that you all get final effects of the quest. If you want to eat the cookies, I'll tell you their effects. Also, don't forget to bother Jess, she has the 200 gold from the Draco fight all on her to distribute.>

I explained my computer with the pictures crashed, permanently actually, so I lost them all. I retook a few of them and added them back in actually, you can go back and find a few more, and Wren is in a number of them! ALL NPCs will return in future Wren Quests . Yes, that was one of the things I tested at the end of the quest, a side quest. I will CERTAINLY be using it next time, it ended up working out well.

Pheph. Quest finally done. Critique me in the QM Lounge, please! And thank you all for playing it was a lot of fun.

I learned a lot about being a Quest master, and plan to host again in... January (once all my college stuff is done!!). But, I'd like to hear back from my players! Tell me what you thought of the quest. I know next time to do better sets and not take characters out, but what else can I improve? And what did you like? I want to know. Also, thank you all for playing with me. (I hope you don't mind if I turn this into a critique thread for a day or two, Sandy.)

Draco Battle Round 3 Results Christopher v. Draco - Special Damage Eric - Revives Docken Hybros - Retrieves his Weapon Jess v. Draco - Critical Hit Thotwick - Fire Bomb Bartholomew v. Draco - Miss Phil v. Draco - Special Damage The gang starts off poorly this round. As Sir Christopher charges the whip discharges it's dark energy and all the heroes are knocked to the floor. Thothwick rams into a wall and slides down. Blood starts to bubble on his back. Eric crawls over to Docken and uses his item to revive his friend, who jumps back up, ready to fight. Hybros grabs his weapon and prepares to throw it, but he has no need. Jess howls, tired of this quest, and rams her blade into Draco's chest. He falls down, dead. Jess collects the spoils out of his pocket (Crag, feel free to distribute them once you are back in the hall). The Party Bartholomew Docken (played by Brickdoctor) Level 12 Ranger 31-year old human male Power: 15 Health: 17/17 Gold: 84 Inventory: 1x Mockthril Crossbow (WP: 4, suitable for rangers), 1x Phoenix essence Eric (played by Khorne) Level 12 1/2 Barbarian 30 year old Male Norse Human Power: 19 Health: 19/19 Gold: 118 Inventory: Sword of Courage (WP: 7, suitable for barbarians and knights), Mockthril Club (WP: 4, suitable for barbarians), 1x Phoenix Essence Jess Islanti *Acting Party Leader* Jess Islanti (played by cralegoboy) Level 11 1/2 Rogue 74 year old female Elf. Drops: Hammer of Gods (WP: 4, suitable for Barbarians) Suddenly, Wren appears behind Draco. She runs a vial over him and collect black smoke coming out of him. The party lunges forward, but she holds up a hand. "I've had enough with you for now, heroes. You have served your purposes. Your friend Cronk barely escaped with his life, but he is alive. Don't worry, he'll fill you in on any questions you have, I've already spoken to him. I'd like to thank you all so much. You really did what I expected you to do. Killed innocent guards, sold out friends, killed poor Draco... he was laughably easy, wasn't he? And look, you even revived Docken. He didn't need the experience, the other two did, and you were all fairly assured to win." Hybros can't take anymore of this, and lunges at Lady Wren. She holds up her hand and he simply disappears. "Now is not the time to fight me, heroes. These vials contain chaos. When people who think they are good do wrong, it creates it. I have learned how to harvest Chaos. And in time, I will use it. Remember, Heroica will fall, and Zoot will rise." The heroes are suddenly engulfed in light. ---------------------- The heroes wake up in a field. They hear a final whisper from Lady Wren, each in their own ear. "For your service, I have awarded each of you 150 gold, and one level of experience. Thank you." The heroes look around. Phil, Felton, Mr. Cleric, and Hans are no where to be seen. Also in Cronk's pocket are three cookies. The heroes may do what they want with the cookies, in the hall. But they are happy to be back at the hall. Not you folk! The people currently in the quest I'm hosting.

"Hey. You stole my hat Nyx. Oh, and Sylph, if you don't mind, a knight might be more suited for this, though I agree with Nyx, I just have a feeling that we may end up fighting him... anyway, I'll use my negotiation to politely ask the mummy if it can speak, and if so, I ask it to please answer the questions just directed at it."

"Pfft. It seems that even those of distant lands fear the non-existent gods. A wind god... ha!" Boomingham picks up the headdress. "This, on the other hand, looks valuable." He licks it and immediately start to spit. "It has dust all over it." "Why'd you like it?" asks a quest mate. "To see if it was real gold." "Can you taste gold?" "I suppose not," Boomingham admits. He then marches over to the statue and looks at it's trident. "This could be gold too..."
-
<No. Eric may heal Docken, or Henry, or attack. I don't want to pick his actions for him.>
-
I want Boomingham to go hunting pirates! Here's hoping I get back in time! And I could possibly end up questing with some of the people currently in my quest, which would be fun, assuming they don't bear grudges .

<S'okay Jess, just didn't want to lock you out unfairly!> Draco Battle Round 2 Results Christopher v. Draco - Miss Eric v. Draco - Critical Hit Hybros v. Draco - Miss Jess v. Draco - Hit Thotwick - Retrieve Fire Bomb Bartholomew v. Draco - Damage Phil v. Draco - Hit The gang fares better this round than they did last time. Christopher begins with missing, swinging too wide, but while Draco is watching his sword Eric is able to sneak up and ram his weapon against Draco, doing 33 damage. While Draco's armor deflects most of the blow, he is thrown back against a wall, and Hybros misses him. Jess runs forward and stabs him in the ribs, causing 18 damage, and he begins to bleed and cough. Thothwhick runs forward to retrieve the fire bomb, and Draco's whip once more connects with Docken's skin, doing 6 damage and knocking the ranger to the ground, unconscious. Phil's hammer hits Draco in the ribs, and he starts to bleed much more heavily, the blood dripping on the ground and mixing with the blood draining from Henry and Docken, both of whom still have a mist of black steam rising from their wounds. Enemies Draco Type: Humanoid Level: 12 Health: 19/120 Special: Chaos (Gift From Lady Wren) - Inflicts 1 damage to all opponents, randomizes battle order for next round drops one random, AND drops one random item that a player can use a turn to retrieve next round (Possible Items (Dice will be rolled for this): 1: Ice Bomb, 2: Potion, 3: Fire Bomb, 4: Explosive (Does an additional 1 damage to everyone automatically), 5: A rock (does nothing), 6: Phoenix Essence) Drops: 200 Gold, Zoot’s Play Thing The Party Bartholomew Docken KO'd (played by Brickdoctor) Level 11 1/2 Ranger 31-year old human male Power: 15 Health: 0/17 Gold: 84 Inventory: 1x Mockthril Crossbow (WP: 4, suitable for rangers), 1x Phoenix essence Eric (played by Khorne) Level 12 Barbarian 30 year old Male Norse Human Power: 19 Health: 16/19 Gold: 118 Inventory: Sword of Courage (WP: 7, suitable for barbarians and knights), Mockthril Club (WP: 4, suitable for barbarians), 1x Phoenix Essence Jess Islanti *Acting Party Leader* Jess Islanti (played by cralegoboy) Level 11 Rogue 74 year old female Elf. <Retrieving items may not be done at the same time as retrieving a weapon, sorry.> Draco Battle Round 1 Results Christopher v. Draco - Hit Henry v. Draco - Damage Eric v. Draco - Special Damage Thotwick v. Draco - Shield Bartholomew v. Draco - Damage Phil v. Draco - Special Damage Jess v. Draco - Critical Hit Hybros v. Draco - Miss The battle begins. Christopher starts the party off strong, rushing towards Draco and slashing him, denting his armor and doing 12 damage. Henry attempts to do the same, but Draco's whip lashes out at him before he is able to reach Draco. It lashes across his back, breaking clothing and then skin. Henry screams in pain and drops to his knees. Black steam rises from his back as he falls down, unconscious. Eric roars, seeing his friend injured, but before he can act Draco's whip shoots out little black shimmering balls of energy that crash into each other party members, confusing them, and inflicting one damage to each. The battle order will be randomized next round. A stone drops, totally useless to the party. Thothwick, tired of being called the weakest member of the party, throws his weapon, which dents the armor once more and inflects 11 damage to Draco. Into Thothwick's pocket falls 11 gold. Docken, who has been so consistently on target all quest gets bits of chaos smoke in his eyes and his arrow embeds itself harmlessly next to the fireplace. Draco hits him with his whip, but it only skims the ranger. Phil tries to smash his hammer, but like the barbarian before him, he is unable to do so before energy balls hit the group. A Fire Bomb is dropped. Jess is tired of this shit and scores a critical hit against Draco, doing 23 damage. "I've been waiting to do something like that the whole time. Thank god it was against someone like you." Hybros also gets some chaos wisps in his eyes and can not hit his target. Final final final comment: I liked playing Zosma (finally another chance to play a successful werewolf ). I hope I didn't bother people too much with my talk of THE moon!
-
A few more notes. I was apparently too angry to label my point 2 above... whoops. Also I think my saying "Bury old skeletons people" is a combo of bury the hatchet and skeletons in the closet... whoops x2. Finally, I failed to congratulate Scar! Congrats!

Okay, so many things to say. Hinckley, thanks for a superb game. For the most part, I had a blast, and I thank you for that! Your story telling and your attention to character detail makes me so happy in every day I play with you! Thank you so much for a great experience. We've talked in thread about what can be improved a little, so no coal-racking from me. I'm sure the others will attend to it. To my team: thanks. You were awesome, I love playing with all of you. To Pies: Sorry dude. I was in earnest when I said I thought you deserved a win. I knew you were tricking me, but I was sort of screwed at this point anyway, so I figured what the hell. To everyone in this game (feel free to include or exclude yourself from this rant being directed at you if you feel): I'm taking a break from Mafia games for a while, because of all of you. They just aren't fun to me anymore, for a number of reasons. 1) Sassing the host, especially during the game, especially in the discussion thread or in a personal manner, is ridiculously unfair. There is a time and place for it... right now! Hosting takes a shit load of time and effort and hosts are doing everyone on this forum a favor and I think everyone has forgotten that. Secondly, the amount of in fighting has gotten ridiculous. Bury old skeletons people. I guess that's the curse of the same people each game "I trusted blank and blank last game, I'll trust them this game" etc. Metagaming is ridiculous. The same people fight each game, the same people start PMs each game with the same people... it's so silly and tiring, and it makes you have to play every game the same. On top of that people have given up all pretense of it! It's a popularity contest. If you are friends with the person on the rest of EB, you contact them here. It's no fun for me or anyone else. The part that really bothers me is the fighting. The same people fight and get revenge on each other each game. It's boring and annoying and ruins the game for others and it's selfish in my opinion. It's metagaming and there's a reason I think there should be a rule against it. I'm not exempt I LEFT PEOPLE ALIVE THIS GAME BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY'D FIGHT AND CAUSE CONFUSION. And guess what. They did. Mini-Rant off. Most of you, great game. Hinck, awesome hosting once again, thanks so much. I'm sorry if I'm being rude to everyone but the rudeness and revenge factors in this game have gotten to such a point that I can't stand it and just need a break. Most of you are great people and great players. Well, hell, all of you are great people, and pretty much all of you are great players, it's just getting muddled with all these petty game arcing fights.

Damn straight! The quest was geared towards this final battle! The idea was lots of fights to wear them down, and the choices they made up to here effecting their battle. I did give them in battle drops, though, to balance it out.

Mafia School: Cirque du Freak conclusion
Zepher replied to badboytje88's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Haha. It's okay. I'm just teasing. Anyone who has been in a Quest/Mafia I've hosted can attest to the fact that I'm slow as all hell. I'm staying up just to comment on it though! And finish my art homework.
