This is, by far, the best set of the Coast Guard line. I love it so much. I'm guessing that this will be a Target exclusive to the US since we have yet to get it over here. 469 pieces too? It looks so much bigger, maybe it will be cheaper than I anticipate. Thanks for the review!

No, they'd go bankrupt. Even though people would be able to afford more, there's still the production costs for the set. The lower the set prices, the lower the chances of them breaking even. Like Algernon said, they have to make a profit so they can experiment with newer products. Sure, I wish the prices were lower but TLC has to keep up with changing global economies so that they can give us more products. Now, back to 2008 sets.

Yes but we also end up with later releases and exclusives that aren't exclusive elsewhere in the world (TIE Crawler for example). And this year's line has been anything but cheap.
