One word Teddy... Amazing !!! And like most of the members... we can't wait to see the finished product... But about the ideas for planking... I would go only for tan, dark tan and no old light grey. Keep on building Teddy, Kurt

Which pieces would you like to see in future pirate sets?
Capt. Kirk replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Pirates
Or some Wonen's and Girl's Caps (for the poor): Or some new hats/caps (and in diff. colors): Or some stuff this 'bad' pirate girl & toy figure have around their torso. -

Maybe some new hairstyles or wigs for the minifigs... simple designes nothing like this (lol): This would be handy I think... so we can create the difference between the high-class and the poor. Examples (Wigs): -
Is the LEGO Pirates Forum too chaotic? Are sub-forums needed?
Capt. Kirk replied to Mazin's topic in LEGO Pirates
--> I'm a new member on this forum, so I respect every thing that is said bij the Admins & Mods and other members. But I think that 1 subforum for MOCS & WIPS want hurt... I find it handy. But that's because I build MOC and I'm not the collector. For all the rest... then they should find that topic themselves. And yes there is a possibility that the same question comes twice or more... but what the f*ck. You can't expect that somebody first surfs the hole forum before posting his/her question. If we all show a little bit of tolerance... there are no problems... my guess. --> I also build space-mocs and on classic-space they work with sub-forums... and it seems to work (MOC Announcements, Spacewerks (unfinished MOCs or WIPs), Research and Design (Building techniques, tips, tricks and theory), Mutant Hive (For MOCs with clones). I personaly find it handy. But I don't need that many sub-forums on Classic-Pirates, just one for MOCs or WIPs. --> But I think the personal preference depends on the nature of the member... organized or not. Maybe a simple conclusion, but if you're a organised person you MAYBE like sub-forums and if not that organized, it doesn't matter. This is just a thought... no a fact and this has been said without wanting to hurt someones feelings !!! --> I think this is normal... if there is something new under the sun the replies go skyhigh and once you discussed it, what more can you say. For me as a new member...I see POLLs about ships and sets that are from my dark-lego-ages... I don't know sh*t about the old pirate sets... so what can I say. I just read and lurk at that moment. --> Create a subforum for MOCs and WIPs... -
Mine was this set (bought 4 months ago... 3 times on a bidding site):
-
Simple but nice... and I like the white sands... keep that in mind.
-
Same here... 3 Blue-coats...
-
I totaly aggree with this... but please wait a while for you come up with a new contest... no more bricks at the moment... Grtz, kurt PS: I find ten weeks a nice time... if you got to order some bricks you don't have, you lose a week... and you never now what you gone miss at the end sometimes... never the less it's long but now everybody can come up with good mocs... and that's the goal and plesant for the builder and the spectator.
-
I thank you all for those kind words and... I'm happy that it makes you happy... That was also one of my goals... I will try to do... I have two new ideas for pirate-mocs and started already on one of them... But first I gone wait for the new pirates sets to arrive... And then I gone order some bricks at BL... Anybody know some good shops where you can order many bricks (for example: 1x2 for a amount of 500 pieces)? CU, kurt

--> Thx for the kind words. --> It's a monument of a bell with a double function (it's also a hydraulic pump). The old people of "Le Quartier Brique" thanked - a long time ago - their life to this bell (but not this time... ). I have chosen for momument and not for a statue because I want to use something else because many memeber had already a statue. --> Thanks... I always try to do my best. --> --> That's all pirate minifigures I have... --> I could used some white plates... but that's something for a sea for me. And when I gone use white in water, I want also light blue... and this color I don't have. That will be for another time. --> I thought you could go 2 ways with this contest... bloody or action. I have chosen action and interaction… and a little blood. I personally give the preference that the spectator fills up a part with it's own imagination. As you see there will be always a minifigure that gone hurt another minifigure ... but you never see direct how it's gone go.... this is for the spectator. --> Thanks. Grtz, kurt

Just edited all...

Thx for the tip and done...

Just want to say... thx for watchin' and cu around. Grtz, Kurt

Vig. 44c EDITE & FINAL !!! Personal: Some will perhaps notice it, that no tiles have been used to finish
-
Nice job,... I like it... Maybe a little detail and matter of opinion, but put the pirate with the red/black stripes on the other side of the girl... so that you got a diagonal interaction... but in general nice moc. Grtz, kurt
-
Simple but brutal... nice. Possible Improvements --> Put 1 or more black birds on top (raven, crows).
-
Nice nice nice canon... but what part did you use at the end (the round brick) ? Thx in advance... grtz, Kurt
-
--> Thx for the nice words... respect !!! And I do my best because some members such as Lord King of Everything, SirNadroj and many others have show a high standard. All my respect for them... chapeau !!! --> I will take the final photo's with a "snow white" background... don't worry. Didn't have the time to do it because I working on my large entry... still some work to do. --> It existe in that time, but they where not common... if they used it, then it was mainly in castles (sea-castle/fort) or docks... most of the time attached to the wall. --> I keep it in mind... --> I didn't post it on the forum because I have no tittle... yet Once again, thx for the kind words... I hope other members will like it to... cross the fingers... Grtz, Kurt

Finger Bone Island - When pirates get bored of gold
Capt. Kirk replied to ProducePrincess's topic in Pirate MOCs
Nice, but I should change the torso of the minifigure with the "bow tie"... I'm not sure, but I don't think they had it in 1700-1800 Or change it with a torso of a minifigure with a beard... that is also a possibility if I am correct CU, kurt -
Hi all, First... I don't know how you work here because all of this is new for me... So if this is not by the rules what I did and added too much pictures... sorry Classic-Pirates. Second... I have tried to do some improvements (I hope so)... But how you it, do you post it in your first post or in another one ??? Third... Just tell me how I must do this... so that I don't do it again in the future... thx in advance. My "improvements" 1- I added some tiles to give structure to the walls. 2- Changed the green (wall & ground plantes). 3- I added a guardhouse (don't know if this is the correct translation?) 4- I added some blood... 5- Changed the plank 6 - I added some tiles to the ground to create a little road with border 7 - Changed some of the minifigures faces and added a cape to one of the pirates What I gone try 1- See if a hung soldier is appropriate or too over-populated 2- Add 2 parrots Preview By the way... on the back of this picture you see a foretaste of my large model... Grtz & CC is welcome, kurt

Like me...now finding a boat... Litlle off-topic: What material are the real ones bij TLC made off ??? I never seen them before...
-
--> Thanks for the positive vibes... --> There will be blood... but waiting on order on Bricklink... no transparent red bricks at the moment. --> It hangs on the wrong side at this moment... a guardhouse will come at the place where now hangs the lamp. --> No other torso's at this moment for it... and never tried to made them my self... sorry will be for another time. --> That was the plan but because this is a WIP,... not important now --> That was the plan but because this is a WIP,... not important now ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ --> THANKS and will do some improvements today... --> I do my best... --> Will do this... but no transparent red tiles/bricks at the moment... waiting for an order. --> by guardhouse I mean this... --> This I will do... received today my minifigure faces via Bricklink... some of them because I need more for my large moc in the contest. --> Didn't order plumes... too expensive for what it is (talking about plumes for tricorners). --> I agree with that... [ --> I will do this... 6 is the maximum hé ? --> It's not allowed to do... I think ?!? @ oDDerFisken, Erdbeereis1, Zorro 3999 and possible others... thanks for the comments so far...
