LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Capt. Kirk replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As I said IN MY OPINION...everybody if free to have another opinion. I hope this is still allowed. Plus it also depend how you look at it...set-wise, variation-wise, brick-wize, size-wize, etc. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

It can also be something like this... Maybe now some members want to kill me because I opened the window of speculation fully and they getting mad of curiosity. But the good thing about speculation is that you all show what you want and that´s positive in every way. I known that some members think that LEGO doesn´t care about his AFOL but that´s not true. Of course the first client is the kid...that has always been. But you AFOL´s count too...believe me. But in all honesty; it was more a warning like I said. Because maybe some know the feeling when you forget to buy a set and find out that it will take ages for it´s released again or it will be never released again or that the prize has gone sky-high on Ebay & co...you regrets have no limits then. For example, how many regret that they didn´t buy the set with the printed Boba or the set with the special blue helmet of Maersk or ... In my opinion 2012 is quite special in release (talking Star Wars). And for 2013 that´s gone be a very special year overall...with things you have seen never before (playthemes and IP´s). That´s all I can say and now it´s up to you to save some money... -

Thanks for understanding and I hope that more members react to this part of the comment in the hope that "some" will see that it´s not that easy as eating pancakes. It would be a help I think... As a LEGO employee you are free to propose your own project-ideas and that's something I have been walking around with for quite some time. I had something in my mind as a LEGO CONCEPT TOUR. Or a book that covers a particular year (released year after year). What do you AFOL´s think about that? Love to hear some reactions. It´s not a tease...it´s a warning... Seriously, don´t miss it because you´ll regret it for the rest of your life. Regards, -

I see that a lot of you guys complain about the cockpit and maybe the complains are justified - I leave this in the middle - but please keep in mind that we designers have to build by a certain system because there´s a big difference between FAN-build and LEGO-build. We have much more rules to follow then you guys and sometimes that´s forgotten. On top of this, we also have an age-mark what means that not all solutions are possible. There for a good competition idea would be that you guys build by weight. Take a random set, weigh the weight of only the bricks and build that same set according to your vision. I might sound a little cynical but good luck! I say this cynical because it´s sometimes forgotten that we - the LEGO designers - work every day hard to get the best possible solution within the LEGO rules. If you would know how many models are sometimes made for 1 set you all would be quite amazed...and of course also the ones that don´t make it into a set. With the following I absolutely don't want to offend anyone, because we and LEGO are blessed that you AFOL´s are out there - Respect with a big R, but we read sometimes comments that we think "has that person still all of his screws on a row". To put it simply; some only want to pay $5 for a set but it must contain 20 new mini figures with 1001 different accessories, 600 stones and preferably in rare or new colors. Once again I don´t want to offend anyone but please think for a minute. I think - and also on behalve of my colleague - that I can say that we´re happy to read that you love Queen Padmé Naberrie Amidala... a BIG thanks guys. I can´t say what other mini´s we both have made but I think and hope that you`ll be happy surprized when you see some of them...I´m sure actually. Of course some will have comments and that´s OK but the majority will love them and that´s for us the most important. One think I can say,...there will be a set in 2012 with something special in it...and I recommend it to everybody to buy it because it will be something that will come out and will go back in the dark shadows of the Empire for a very very very long time. Thank you all guys for making LEGO what it is today...cu. -
Dit is echt een schok... Mijn medeleven aan vrienden en familie van Dieter.

BrickArms Camouflage Printing
Capt. Kirk replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Super nice... I´ll send it to the print house at LEGO... maybe in the futher LEGO Minifigures could look different. -
A SUPER NICE IDEA OF EUROBRICKS... thx CopMike and members for those tons of inspiration. Although somethings I or the other LEGO graphic designers can never use as inspiration if other series will be produced. I talk about things like military, special police units, etc... in general things that are very borderline. But never the less... keep on posting LEGO Fans and maybe one of your personal wishes will come true...
-
I´ll pass the request... but no promises... 8)

--> That's spoken CopMike... don't judge on some pre-pictures... LEGO only want the best for you, believe me. So put all you banners of cheap plastic in the closet until you actually seen and touched them !!!
-
--> You can see it like that,... but maybe the "M" has another meaning... --> But it's nice to read that you all love the MF collection... thx guys!!!
-
They're white.
-
--> Yes,... but some mysteries better stay mysteries... --> We sometimes put stuff like this, if it doesn't harm LEGO off course, in sets... and this especially for the AFOL's. Same question as to Holodoc, what do you had in mind... for me it's the best element that the MF could have.
-
--> What do you had in mind? --> I agree but I think we can agree that an overpriced MF would be bad. --> That's the spirit...
-
I would like 4 bricks and the Specials. PM me RAS... I´ll send the 2 to the address.
-
Ha Green Coats!!!... maybe I can push it when LEGO relaunch Pirates in the far future... have to keep this in mind.

Link Something to do at a EB-event...8)

In a way it´s weird that you say that LEGO is getting too detailed on the Minifigs... if I look for example at the ones you have made they are also detailed. OK it´s custom but if you want to give it a LEGO-ish look... maybe then it´s also too detailed... or do I see this wrong. It´s possible.
-
It looks nice... maybe I can give it as a suggestion to LEGO,... but goes it all around???
-
Since I don´t have that much time as before, I really had to make some time for this... smooth and clean...
-
Thx guys,... sorry that I´m not much around but I´ll work on it in the future. But if you want nice LEGO stuff... I have to work... 8)

My - points about Prince of Persia : I'm not really impressed with the set 7572 - Race Against Time (like I'm not really impressed with the Atlantis set 8061). So I join the remarks of Clone O'Patra. Don't get me wrong, I understand that the playability comes before the looks. But IMO the playability isn't that great and IMO the eye also what something if you want to sell. Then I find the old sets of Orient Expedition better. Of course we always talk like AFOL's and not like kids (LEGO's main target). My + points about Prince of Persia : Some new pieces and of course the minifigs & animals... they look really great IMO. I especially like the black and gold print... awesome.

I will definately come to the EB Event!
Capt. Kirk replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
--> For a room with 4 persons you pay ca. 153 € (incl. breakfast buffet and cleaning of the room at departure). Or 38,25 € if you devide it. LegoLand Village Price link. The double bed (on the right side if you enter). The 2 single beds (on the left side if you enter) - the one with the drawings is the second bed (pullman-bed) The food is good and the veggies have much choice (I went in september when I was there for the graphic designer job). You can also stay at the airport... very cheap and it's in walking distance from Legoland. Twin room = DKK 419 (ca. 56 €) Triple room = DKK 489 (ca. 65 €) Quadruple Room = DKK 559 (ca. 75 €) -
Picture list (so you don't have to browse to 43 pages to see what's already been posted... like me). - Link to close up pictures of the actual Atlantis sets and elements. - Link to the box-art and close up of the minifigures.

--> Don't worry, I have absolutly no problem with that. --> Very nice... looks just like it is... --> Of course it's alright... is represent Dick Tracy 100% and the artwork is clean and smooth.
