It is, but that picture is still misleading - the turtle is still bigger than that
-
I'm in the process of creating a review of Shadow Snapper in the Reviewers Academy and you might be surprised to see the actual size of the turtle as soon as the review is ready!
-
Thanks for that info. Peppermint! I'll be checking my local TRU tomorrow and if it doesn't have 2010 then I'll check at Argos
-
Noooo!... Well... third year lucky perhaps? I still look forward to seeing what the prizes are...
-
I second that! But just in case, I think I'll buy an Xmas lottery scratchcard
-
Gotta love that market scene set (which I can't remember the name of) to go with my Cairo ambush Indy set. I'll probably gte all the sets except race against time, because it'll probs be quite overpriced and the minifigs aren't the best.

16, and 17 in March

I don't really mind whether I win or lose on the calendar so much anymore - I heard that 2010 Lego is finally appearing in TRUs in the Uk which is an awesome Christmas present. Of course, I'll still be happy to take a prize if I win but I don't mind too much if I don't. The odds might be in my favour next year, because they weren't last year and they don't seem to be this year. The odds must be going to VBBN with 2 prizes in 2 years

I saw Avatar yesterday and I mainly agree with that. The plot only had a few surprises. However, I love action films so the action scenes in 3D and all the atmospheric moments in 3D were the best I've ever seen. The best 3D parts were the aerial fight at the end and scenes in the rainforest at night, with all the blossoms and glow in the dark plants

Man this thread is so long I could have easily missed any other predictions because of the spikes in activity here. Can't say I've used dvd.co.uk to check for LEGO before though (!?). I'm glad to know that my pricing list was pretty much exact as all of my prices were right or within £5. I'm glad that the ARC is £50 - I expected it to be at least £40, and even then I though it looked to big to cost so little. I shall check my local TRU again next week to check for 2010 sets of any sort (but hopefully 2010 SW). I can't wait for the Summer wave as well -lots of starships!
-
Same here - although I did win £2 on my 5th scratch card!
-
Judging by TLG's usual pricing strategies, that would mean (not all confirmed): * 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter – 396 pcs – £50-£55 * 8085 Freeco Speeder – 177 pcs – £20 * 8087 TIE Defender – 304 pcs – £40 (confirmed by first UK review by Cardinal Brick) * 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack – £10 * 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack – £10 * 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter – 268 pcs – £20 * *8092 Luke’s Landspeeder – 163 pcs – £20 * *8091 Republic Swamp Speeder – 176 pcs – £25-£30 Looks like quite a nice cheap line up (for my SW wallet anyway ). I'll have to buy the two battlepacks for the awesome new hat moulds for the rebels and extra snowtroopers, plus an ATAT pilot. I've also got to say that I love the new pic of the Wampa cave - although the snowspeeder is inappropriate I must have that Wampa!

Nice British review Cardinal. I'm glad you told us that 2010 sets are now showing up in stores in the UK. I can't get to a store without spending an extortionate amount of money and time on travel within the UK, but you know that anyway The detailing in the minifigs this year is amazing - the new pilot resembles the 'real' one so much better than the old one (mainly in the shape of the helmet). High marks on the visual appearance and swooshability of the set from be (by the looks of your photos) but I agree - pieces aren't that special over the whole model
-
I never seen an advert for just Lego in general before. In fact, the only ad I've seen in the UK this year is for Power Miners!
-
I also like it when everyone's favourite themes are grouped together. I see a lot of Star Wars fans! Oh, and Stevex, when I said 'More?' and quoted the ultimate MF collector's set on its own, the other sets still showed up for me. I was purely saying 'What? You're going to buy more after spending a bomb on the Falcon?'
-
Wow those golden soldiers are amazing brciktw! Are they custom by you or bought in from a site like brickarms? I also like the use of the polar bear in there - I haven't seen one since the Arctic expedition theme (which I sadly had to sell) Merry Xmas!
-
I don't really expect perfection in a movie review seeing as it has to be modded so many times. You got all the important bits really clear to me - minifig detailing and functions of the set
-
Trans red plates work very well if they can be layered into floors (especially effective on flat ones). If you ant little bits of blood then red plumes are often an easy way of adding bleeding
-
More? What's that I see on the thumbnail?
-
I have bought: AND... What I want under the tree... (although it'll never happen )
-
Damn Joey, when you said a 'friend had bought it from TRU' I thought it was available in the UK, until I saw the vid. I do like the amazingly detailed decals though on the pilots, as well as Kit Fisto (in a set I actually want). I love the dual flick fire and wing folding mechism. I can't wait to put this baby on display with a trans clear pole
-
LOL! I would love one of those (and the superpack thanks ). MONSTER SEE MONSTER DO!!!
-
Really? Hello, nothing at all from 2010 here in Europe, so yes, it IS a brand new theme! I'm glad that the squid king (that's what I choose to call him) is in dark red, because it looks so much more likely in real life than that bright red. I do love the detailing on all the Atlantean minifigs though from that (not final!) pic. I can't wait until the sets come out although I'm still not too keen on the three wheeler.
-
Welcome to Eurobricks with that handy UK news Itrain. Unfortunately I live in Dorset (near to Devon) so I'm nowhere near a brand store. However, I know a fair few members who often go to one or always go to one for all their purchases.

I don't think I ever saw this thread but it's a freakin' exact copy of Lego's own sets. :skull: Lampuair, do the bricks from Enlighten have stud holes in the bottom? TLG have pattented that
