[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship

Good feedback. I'm not really hung up on keeping minifigures for sets I don't build. So, maybe the original Black Pearl makes sense to get rid of. A lot to consider... -

I'm actually on the opposite side of things... I have the following MISB sets that I'm thinking of selling and just going with the new Black Pearl set: 4184: The Black Pearl 4193: The London Escape 4195: Queen Anne's Revenge 71042: Silent Mary I bought the first three sets on the tail end of their sales, and even think 2/3 were discounted. I just never got around to building them as I had other sets to build, didn't have the space, or had other things going on. There's just a conflict in building these when I have some already terrific ships like 10210 Imperial Flagship and 1322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay and am drooling over the new Black Pearl. -

So disappointed to see the price officially. It's just too high. Interesting to see the alternate face on Barbosa. -

Least favorite set, or least favorite UCS set? Because there are some real stinkers out there... I'm looking at you, 75201 First Order AT-ST. -

Oh no... I hadn't even thought that could be an issue, but you're right. Hopefully, they don't mess that up. Honestly, the lack of dual molded legs is the biggest head scratcher for me. I don't really understand why figures that have had them in the past can't have them in the most expensive set ever. It's really bizarre. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
lomis replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think this is a very cool idea. But I think many people would be disappointed because the pricing might not be what they expect... There are efficiencies, like packaging and shipping, in selling a larger set with 3,000 pieces in one box rather than 2 that have 1,500 pieces. Also, buildings half the size would typically require more pieces than just half a usual Modular since you can't typically have an open side. More pieces would be needed to close it up. The only way I could see it working is if TLG either sells a design that is smaller than half a normal Modular at half the price, or sells something that is about the same as half (or larger) for more than half the price of an existing Modular. Honestly, I would be interested (not necessarily committed) to either, but I don't know how well received the larger community would be. -

I completely understand this. I often am building a set and will point out a piece to my daughter, who 50% of the time will respond that she's already seen it in one of her Friends sets. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Who knows if it's really a hint of what's to come, but this is what I think is the reference from Instruction booklet 2, page 78: "More rocket power has been added to the Renegade via these fusion-activated energy pods. The range of the Renegade may now be able to reach Futuron bases in this quadrant we previously thought secure." -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

So, someone on reddit said it looks like the sign on the right may read "Haberdashery", rather than "Hairdresser". Honestly, I can't tell. But that makes a bit more sense to me, considering we've already seen a barbershop (Al's) in the 10246 Detective's Office set. -

The label above the door on the left says "the Old Guarded Inn" and a server is carrying a tray with what looks like eggs, toast, and bacon. The Specials menu on the wall has a picture of a steaming LEGO fish on it. The sign above the door on the right looks to say "Hairdresser" -

Wow! This will likely become my favorite modular. It looks perfect. I'm looking forward to getting it and hopefully learning some new techniques. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I am not a huge Marvel/DC fan, but am always interested in modular-compatible builds. In fact, I do own the 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum set, which looks good enough next to other Advanced/Creator/Icons Modular Buildings. But this, simply put, looks pitiful. And the price makes it even worse, regardless of piece count. It makes it very clear how poorly scaled this set is. I would be truly disappointed if I were an X-Men fan hoping to place it anywhere near a Modular Building. -

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense and I'm absolutely intrigued what that will look like... especially if it's a corner building. My concern is if it plays too much with angles and such - reducing the overall building(s) footprint(s). Other than the use of Light Nougat, the other major problem I have with the Boutique Hotel is that it just doesn't feel grand enough to me.
