  1. honestly odd that we *don’t* have a collie / sheepdog yet, given all the various dogs we have got.
  2. The harpy was fine for parts, but a total let down as a figure (I’d say the same of the centaur). I had hopes years ago after we got the excellent Medusa, Minotaur & Cyclops that we’d get regular ‘beasties’ in that vein, but they have been relatively few and somewhat lacklustre
  3. Some new dinosaur have leaked, mostly recolours of small moulds, but also the fabled baby T Rex
  4. Quite unusual (though I get it, given the rocket) for a licensed animal to appear first in such an elaborate mould & in costume. I did wonder if the head might separate as in Scooby, and the DC super pet dogs
  5. I don’t want them all to be warriors. I do want them all to be *fabulous*
  6. I do like the existing phoenix, though it’s limited use to me. I suppose it *might* pass for a hoatzin with a little bit of artistic licence … As aye I would welcome another dog mould, though I do think it’s high time we started getting some generic mongrels
  7. Agree re the multi purpose torsos. I’d say the same about needless yellow flesh on display too!
  8. Thanks for my tribute (9) Not aimed at anyone in particular, but often when we have chat about themed series and especially Pirate & Castle ‘archetypes’, I think we are missing the fact that the Lego group has moved on from old fashioned gender-based ideas. Like it or don’t, we have now had several castle and pirate themed sets and figures which have upended the old gender divide, and given us, amongst others, female knights, female falconer etc. These days we are (rightly imho) as likely to see female warriors as male ones, which then makes tropes like ‘damsel in distress/princesses’ or ‘Governor’s daughter’ vanishingly unlikely to be in modern or future line-ups.
  9. It was a weird step imho. Even just a few recolours of existing farm animals would have made so much difference.
  10. Maybe it could be a whole zombie series filling in all the archetypes we haven’t zombified yet ;) zombie aristocrat, zombie fireman, zombie cyclops, zombie vet, … 🤣
  11. Thing is, as we have seen from other themed series, if they did do ‘pirates’ it’s likely to be a more loose interpretation rather than a roster of 12 figures we might slot into the existing sets. So you should expect a space pirate, a pirate ship costume, a ship’s figurehead, a cockatoo costume, a zombie pirate captain (oops we already have that …) etc
  12. I recently stumbled on the leaked image of the that set. It featured a veritable ark full of animals. 😩
  13. That the toucan didn’t show up in any Encanto sets probably proves it won’t, ever.
  14. The tan pup already is, but BAM parts tend not to be - so I doubt the koala will appear This would be nice - but I’m hoping for some recolours for the existing wolf soon. White, black and dark tan, if you’re listening @ Lego
  15. I hear ya, but I’m not gonna stop expecting them to give us more ;) I think if the moulds are intrinsically overly complex or fragile, then you’d think that would be caught during the design and development stage. Ultimately it makes sense for them to introduce new moulds that are robust and useful. At least, you’d assume so.
