Ponda Baba? The one in the screenshot looks more like on of the musician aliens to me though.

What was the last movie you watched?
Kikuichimonji replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hm...I need to pop in Akira or GitS again too...most of all because you don't get them completely first time around. Especially GitS was pretty hard to follow. -
I love this thing! The black and yellow stripes really make the ship stand out. The wings should've been more curved as the entire ship is curved. The greeblies look nice, but not spectacular. they get the job done. I'm not a fan of the 1x1 studs with the round thingy attached to it that he used near the engine greeblies. Sure, it is the easiest way to do an 180 degrees reverse, but it really doesn't match with the smoothness of the ship. Landing gear would also be nice.

Average amount spent on Lego in a year
Kikuichimonji replied to Zane's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Same here. I spend way more money on games then on Lego. I guess around 750-1000 Euro a year, actually. -

So, this makes me wonder...what else do you spend your money on? Or well, at least the tiny bit that's left of it? :-P -
Maybe you should contact Lego directly with your question. Easiest and fastest way of getting an answer...

Do you have to prove you bought the set? I'd like some of those legs... 8-|

More speeder bikes? We already had a redesign of those. And I wouldn't like another Escape Pod, that was the most crappy SW set ever. The AT-ST needs to be redone though, and I wouldn't mind for another Y-wing (which is logical seeing as it is one of the last remaining ships that hasn't had a redesign)

I don't like the black/lime color scheme. It looks well constructed though, but I wish it'd be in yellow or orange ;-)

100? where does it say 100? :-P. I think it won't be long, anyway. Forums tend to grow exponentially (Fingers crossed that that's an english word...)

Look, Jinzo's back! :-D

Not as much as I used too. I've settles down to only collecting SW sets and buying sets for parts. I'm guessing about 300/400 Euro a year. -
How about a official contest about when our 1000th member will join? :-P

Got another Auto Pod (2006 version) yesterday. For the 2 orange 1x2 tiles I needed to finish the Sphere.

Xenologger: it can fly both horizontally (back engines) or vertically (belly engines). And I wanted a smoke cockpit, but since those are around 5$, I decided to just keep it like this. Could've grabbed one from a SW set for the pictures though. Starwars4J: It had just about the maximum amount of greeblies I could fit in. Without any real good idea what to put in there other then greeblies, they'll just stay there. And I only have the 2 small EF sets. I don't think I used a single EF piece though. Around 75% of this is Bricklinked items (must've cost me about 20$ I think...). Glad you liked it!

World cup rules for (female) significant others
Kikuichimonji replied to Vader's topic in Culture & Multimedia
They're not really counter rules, just some points that some women;s anti-football organisation came up with: 1. Away with the World Cup, for once and for all 2. We won't let ourselves be put offside anymore 3. Grass is for cows, you're a bull if you play football (that's a dutch expression) 4. A ball in house is a ball removed (you know what kind...) 5. Every hour of football on tv is to be countered with 2 hours Sex and the City, Friends or Desperate Housewives. At prime time. 6. We (the organisation) will do all to make our point clear. Demonstrations, drawing public attention, autograph actions...everything. 7. Every goal the Dutch football team makes is to be countered by an afternoon of shopping. At the man's costs. 8. Every orange piece of clothing (including hats, shawls etc.) the man wears leads to a week of 'womens strike'. For instance, 2 orange pieces of clothing means no *youknowhat* for 2 weeks. 9. Watching football in a pub will be countered with an extensive breakfast in bed. Clean, shaved, washed, no longer drunk. 10. All remote controls in the house are property of the woman. Might be some bad translations in there, but that shouldn't matter too much. -
So about a month ago I posted my latest MOC, the Sphere. Ever since, I've been toying with the design as well as replacing the lightgrey with darkgrey. This is the final result. I don't think I've ever spend so much time (and money...) on tweaking a ship. I plain love the color scheme and the overall smoothness. New for this version are: The colorscheme (duh). Back greeblies (the original didn't had any since I originally intended for it to fly horizontally instead of both horizontally and vertically). 2 stripes across the engines which I just plain love. A new, brick-built front gun. Smooth panels on both sides of the cockpit. An orange stripe underneath the cockpit all the way up to the engines. I also removed quite some stuff, most notably the missiles and stuff. They just didn't fit in with the overall smoothness of the ship. Main problem was coming up with a way to take care of those "down-studs" that were very visible because the engine was 90 degrees compared to the body. Well, on to the pictures: Front shot: Back greeblies: Belly: Central spine holding this thing together: Engine belly. I used 1x4's instead of a 2x4 to keep up with the 'double line pattern' used at the top of the engine. I plain love these stripes. Well, that's it. Some more pictures in my gallery when moderated. Let me know what you think!

World cup rules for (female) significant others

This was in my paper this morning, hehe. They also had 10 rules to counter these. I'll look them up and post them :-P -
This is the first thing that crossed my mind. Be wary though, not for all ages...And yeah, I know they based it on the famous Beatles album ;-)
