  1. I saw this a while ago. Pretty cool, but I'm not sure if the use of discoloured grey bricks was intended or not. And yes, the construction shots are pretty amazing to look at!
  2. What face is that on the Hi-Hat figs?
  3. Man, I didn't know the man was this huge. I was shocked when I read it this morning. Then again, he once said that if he were to be eaten by a crocodile during shooting, he'd want the crew to keep filming. Sad way to go but probably the way he wanted it. RIP.
  4. Actually, I don't think there's a point to this topic rather then spamming the place.
  5. I think the horns need to be bigger and you need to add a helmet :-)
  6. A belated happy birthday :-D
  7. Nothing, really. I've spent money on other things then Lego this summer.
  8. Post pictures to your brickshelf, copy/paste the link over here. Simple as that :-)
  9. Man, I already know I'm gonna love this. I loved the cartoon, and TNMT IV is my favorite multiplayer game ever. Looking forward to see more!
  10. Well, I don't have a girlfriend but one of my closest friends is a girl, and she really doesn't care about my hobby. Heck, she even built something once :-P. Then again, she is 20 by now and she's pretty grown-up and stuff. And anyway, girls have to take you for who you are, not for what your hobby is :-)
  11. He should list it at Ebay. He could make enough money to buy 2 of these later :-D
  12. Those gaps are in the back are there for a reason, so the cockpit can open! But the cockpit's air-tightness is not sacrificed because I put a 1x1 tile on each side of the gaps on the inside. Hm, I thought that adding tiles would still allow the cockpit to open. Must've seen that wrong then. Sorry :redsmyliehappy: Could you please explain this in greater depth? Well, the stuff you built in it is 1 brick high, yet the cockpit is 2 bricks high. I'd heighten it up a bit and add some neat details. Then again, I love cockpit detailing so I usually go a bit overboard with it. And a small remark on the cockpit itself: how about trying to make it airtight using these or these pieces?
  13. Interpol - The new My most played song ever. Pure awesomeness. I highly suggest you pick up the albums it's on (Turn on the bright lights), which is my favorite album of all time.
  14. Well, the last set I bought was the Slave 1, I think. That was somewhere in April. Normally I'd be buying small sets for parts multiple times a month, but I haven't gotten to it lately. I wouldn't call this a Dark Age (I never had one anyway), because the reasons are rather obvious: First, and most of all: money issues. I go to University which I partially need to pay myself. And trust me, it isn't cheap. Other then that, I've really gotten intro retro gaming since April and have basically been spend my money on that instead of spending it on lego. Secondly, I'm running out of space. I still live with my parents and I have a 15 cubic meter room or something close to that.. I have to fit clothes, games (and consoles!), lego, a pc, books, a bed etc. in there. I now have one huge closet for my lego, but it's getting fuller and fuller. Third point: the main reason I never had a dark age was Star Wars. TLC really lets me down with my favorite license by making it more and more expensive yearly...while we get redesigns and stuff like that. I've really become a MOCer instead of a collector because of that. Nothing wrong with that, but the dissapointment won't make me buy more sets from other themes either. However...there is hope. I've earned a lot this holiday and it'll be more then enough to cover for a Wii plus some games (which was my 'goal'). I might just pick up some sets with what's left. Plus, TLC has made a very good move with the new Star Wars sets. I've really picked up interest again and can't wait for pictures. Basically, there won't be any dark ages for me. As long as I have my bricks and I can make MOCs, I'll be fine :-)
  15. Well, you most certainly shouldn't be asking for titles or you'll get one you won't like :-P
  16. Simple but good. That's something that's very hard to achieve, so I must compliment you on a job well done! Some small stuff I don't like too much is that the cockpit isn't fully airtight. Besides that, I don't like the way the small round 1 x 1's attached to the droid arms look. Either leave them off or change them for something else (how about a droid body...altough that would have to break the color scheme?). If you have two 1 x 1 tiles, add them to the gaps in the back. A simple touch which would certainly increase the beauty of the ship. Finally, I'd personally add some more details to the cockpit. It doesn't look bad the way it is, but there's certainly room for improvement. Well, might seem like I didn't like this at all, but I certainly do!
  17. Happy birthday :-D
  18. Always good to have more dutch members over here :-D
  19. Saw Bowling for Columbine yesterday. Man, that was impressive, most impressive. Really leaves you with something to think about (and I'm not even American...can you imagine!)
  20. Johan - Paper planes
  21. Why did you quote yourself?
  22. You know, there's a B/S/T/F forum for this. No need to make a topic here, in the Town forum and in the Pirate forum when you've created a 'main' one already. Good luck selling your stuff!
  23. Next: Old
  24. Kyuss - Odyssey/Conan Troutman/NO/Whitewater I'm currently at Conan Troutman ;-)
  25. Placebo - Broken promise
