I wonder how will this year be remembered.Is it going to be the odd year or the beginning of the end for this theme? Everything that I heard or saw thus far has only accomplished on killing any excitement I had for this theme.

They won't,I have hard time imagining any good miifigs coming out of all this.

You were right @Guyon2002 the august wave is f-ing terrible I mean as much as I don't like the Fawkes set idea atleast it makes sense since we got the Hedwig set last year.But the Harry and Hermione set is just.....why just why Lego?

Oh come on that would be a massive frick you from Lego if they include Daredevil and Punisher on the Daily Bugle set.After so many years of fans asking for those characters Lego finallly decides to include them in an expensive set where only few will be able to afford it.

Considering the Shang Chi leaks is it safe to assume that the sets will release next month?

Huh the scuba suits look much better in animated form.Also Zane's suit is looking rather good,I'll say that I prefer it to the ones we have see thus far.For some reason Kai and Cole doesn't wear their scuba suits,which is a shame because I wanted a peak at Kais scuba suit.His sister on the other hand is wearing hers but because of her pose you can't get a clear look.

OK time to get back in topic. As for what is next for Ninjago,since Power Miners is one of my favorite themes I would love a wave centered around that idea. For the plot have the Ninjas decend into the depths of the earth to find an artifact and/or to fight evil rock monsters who attacked Ninjago City.Obviously this would be a Cole centric wave and the ninja vehicles will have big drills on them.

As long as you behave you can stick around even if you're under 18.I was 15 when I joined this place back in the day. Thing is that the kid is annoying,if he toned it down a little that would be great.

This isn't the first time he's done that,I even recall a mod warning him to seize this type of behavior.

My thoughts on the set. Build:When compared to the rest of the Marvel and DC sets it's definitely unique and it's quality seems superior.Overall it's a great set for display. Minifigs:That's where my issue arises.As it is typical with any Super Hero set there is a definite lack of leg printing for most characters with the only exeption being the Mandarin.The most stand out figs for me are the girl and the masked baddie with the daggers. Overall I'd say it's a decent set with a good build and a generous amount of minifigs for a set of this size.

That depends on your definition of what an action theme(AT) is.Although TLM/2 and Elves are original IPs I don't consider them to belong to the AT genre.As for Chima and NK I consider them blockbuster themes meaning they are designed with longevity in mind with a TV show to boost sales,gimmick sets and in general larger waves.And MK is just an attempt to cash in the Chinese market. Now compare all of the above to Ultra Agents and Hidden Side,those I label old school AT.I label them so because they stay true to the spirit of the AT of the late 2010s,not only do they lack the blockbuster qualities I mentioned earlier but they are also far more diverse and original than your Ninjagos,Chimas and NK.And yes I'm well aware that HS had animated shorts and an app that was heavily marketed which is also another criticisim of mine towards Lego because of their insistence on shoving down media tie-ins on a majority of their themes nowdays. But I wont argue any further on this subject because a)there is alot of bias at play making my criticism not entirely objective and b) because every time I voice my grevances with Lego I end up in an agrument not so different as this one and quite frankly I'm tired of having to repeat myself over and over.

The accusation of creative bankruptcy was thrown towards Lego as a whole but since this the Ninjago discussion I'll stick to the topic at hand.Yes they are one off waves but it doesn't change the fact that instead of having a diverse array of themes like how things used to be in the late 2010s nowdays all those potential themes get snuffed out before inception and instead they get slapped with the Ninjago logo and BOOM there you go this is your newest wave for Ninjago.I'd much prefer to have original themes flourish and have a variety of different characters and vehicles yet instead the status quo is that the action theme genre has grown stale and the only theme that is still around is Ninjago. And it's not that I hate this theme quite the opposite in fact,it has great minifigures and the location based builds are almost always great.I just wish there were more themes around like it used be.

This has been a big critisism of mine for quite some time when it comes to action themes.It's seems like Lego got too complacent with the success of Ninjago and doesn't want to produce new action themes like they did in the past.Instead they dumb ideas into Ninjago and call it a day.This way of thinking is lazy and creatively bankrupt and they won't stop untill the Ninjago cash cow has gone dry.

Yea the googles are definitely seperate.

Nya on the box art has what appears to be a printed mask/googles on her face,so that could be the case for all the ninjas as a secondary faceprint or I could be wrong and this is exclusive only to Nya.

Actually on second though I think the head piece is terrible.Mostly because the googles are large enough to expose the mouth.If they were smaller and exposed only the eyes it would have been better.
