Haven't read through the thread, so forgive me if this is a repeat. I'd love to see a religion/deity series: Zeus Apollo Ares Jesus Buddha Ganesha (who WOULDN'T want an elephant head for a minifig???) Kali (I bet you could make 2 holes on each side of the torso and tack on 4 arms (AWESOME)) Satan (though you'd probably want to call him "Demon Man" or something a bit more marketable. You could probably recycle the series 6 Minotaur horns for his head mold. You're welcome.) Accessories: Zeus' lightning bolt, Buddha's lotus flower, etc. I bet you could reuse the head mold from Darth Maul/Savage Opress for Jesus' head, too. I'd totally have a God minifig display in my place.

Does anyone have their collection stored in some type of cabinet/drawer unit? My girlfriend is supportive of my hobby, but I think her enjoyment of LEGO ends where her tastes in home decor begins. Basically, she's not a big fan of LEGO being left out in the open, which I can understand. She never gripes over the money I've spent so that's all I can ask. ANYWAYS... I'm looking for some type of presentable furniture that can hold my inventory (which is quite modest as I've only come out of the dark ages ~6 months ago). I don't like having to shove my stuff in the closet so I'd like to have it more accessible while still relatively concealable. Something along the lines of this perhaps: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50167158/

Prometheus space suits

Where'd you find the helmet pieces? -
Might pass here. The pieces that are not covered in logos don't appear very unique so these look a bit limiting for MOC.

I like the simplicity of your pictures. You don't use elaborate constructed sets or a lot of outside terrain, but I think that's for the best. Keeps the focus on the MF.

Most wanted CMF for army builder
ticktockclock replied to AAA Brick Master's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree with previous sentiments about zombie diversity, although a bunch of the same head could be easily mixed in with various hair/hat/torso to overcome this. But then it's just the zombie head and not technically a CMF army itself. I think the best looking army would be with the roman soldier. I finally got my hands on ONE at my local TRU and was very impressed. I think it's one of my favorites. The spear, helmet, and long shield would look epic lined up in rows. Someone should post pics of the various MFs in armies. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
ticktockclock replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So based on the fact for the football player, we could guess that the number 12 was chosen in honor of Tom Brady. I now only want 15 of the new series. -
Very sinister, I like it. Clever use of the trees for Joker's hair, too.

Brickforge Pauldrons with Iron Man helmet?
ticktockclock replied to The-Hulk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Agreed. I am still bothered by the poor fit of the new Batman cowl (Batman Jetski polybag). I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO PUSH IT ALL THE WAY DOWN -
Awesome! I've actually been to the location that scene was shot, although the bench has been removed and placed in a local museum for preservation.

Are they not still in your local stores? My Wal-Mart has loads of them marked down to $8.48 along with Clone Trooper packs. -
Barriss Offee in case anyone else was wondering

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Whoa, love that electro-suit Batman. I'll be sure to rush out and grab the Visual Dictionary when it's released before all the figs are stolen out of the books. -
hahaha thanks for the great pics

That's an awesome Captain America. Where'd you get the blue hood piece?

I wasn't the first member to comment on the price of this one figure, but I should've realized that I would be the first to upset others since I'm new and unknown. Unlike the guy a few posts above me who's been here for 2.5 years and has 500 posts, I still proceeded to give him advice on his situation to the best of my ability. A critical comment with a snarky smiley adds much less to the conversation than an honest opinion coupled with the requested advice. But I do apologize if it came off like I was telling him how to spend his money or criticizing him. As mentioned, I'm new so I'm still getting a feel for what's offensive around here and I'll be careful of my wordings in the future. Perhaps a newer user should get a bit more slack than those who've been around long enough to know better.

So early this spring I emerged from the dark ages and am back to my whorish LEGO ways. I'm planning on picking up the upcoming Haunted House set for Halloween decor which made me also decide that I'd LOVE to have a train for the tree at Christmas time. My one concern is how my cat will react to it. I realize all pets are different so there's no way for anyone to tell me how my cat might behave. But I was wondering if any of you have cats and how they respond to your train. Godzilla-style destruction? Indifference? Feel free to post pics of your cats chasing trains.

I certainly hope you have a ridiculous amount of disposable income. I think we all probably push our budgets to maintain our lego addictions, but $130 for a single minifigure? I'd return it for a refund and buy a trainset or two full series of minifigs. But if you definitely want the fig, I wouldn't hesitate to fight for a refund and buy from another seller. You paid the going rate for it and you received something different from the picture. Did your auction specify that the fig was LIKE the one shown in the pic or did he pass the pic off as the exact fig?

My microfig collection is (temporarily) complete!

Wow looks great. Definitely the most complete microfig collection I've seen. -
Ebay seller gets busted for switching price labels
ticktockclock replied to lightningtiger's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow, I expected the guy from CA that was caught a couple months back. That's crazy, especially given the fact that she's a female AND a non-native American citizen. -
My biggest problem is with sets that any reasonable lego fan knows have ZERO chance of being made. Like any set proposing the inclusion of 10+ minifigures or sets that are obviously too "mature" in nature for lego. A lot of us would LOVE an army of stormtroopers packaged in one set, but realistically we all know the minifigs are what attract people to the larger sets which is how they make much of their money.
-
Yeah Time Cruisers was not anything like that. But perhaps our desire for a REAL time travel theme is a bit overzealous, similar to cuusoo projects for Stormtrooper armies. tlg likely wouldn't load up one theme with so much diversity among sets. Gotta keep options open for the desirability of each era for future themes by themselves I'm sure.

Value of CMF collection and certain minifigures
ticktockclock replied to Lightning Dragon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm not much into army building, but that's mainly due to money (getting ready to move across town and the gf has been getting on me to slow down on the lego purchases haha). I've also only recently gotten back into lego (~6 months ago) so i've been scrambling to catch up on the CMFs as best I can. This has basically limited me to 1 of each that I specifically want. All my packets are open so I know that hurts the value, but looking at early series' prices, I'm fairly confident that I'll at least make my money back when the CMF series are discontinued and these become more desirable. At least that's what I tell my woman to keep her calm when I drag her out to TRU to watch me feel through packets (though she was impressed when we walked out with a S6 Roman the other day for $3.19 and I showed her how they can go for $15 on ebay). This really is one of the few hobbies/collectables that have good enough resale for me not to feel bad spending so much, but my "one of each" current collection will probably keep me from selling any of them! My only doubles are the Highlander and Clockwork Robot and those will probably fetch a decent price in a year or so.
