  1. Happy Birthday Iz! Glad to hear it has been a fun day so far with good food. I think we need to have a little chat.....
  2. Looks like a much better lead in pick to start the story, well done, it's a behemoth! You want to be guild leader while I am busy
  3. Well, we would prefer to see a brick-built guardian as it will test your buildign skills but it's up to you.
  4. Impressive work Sly, love all the fine details. One day I need to have a crack at rigging.
  5. I dig the many tree designs you have experimented with, and agree with others that a nice white background would make it an easier MOC to view, good job nonetheless.
  6. I have got you started with a few pics and links, see what cool things you can find. Keep up the good work.
  7. Whilst it's a good idea to have a tree resource, perhaps you could research up more than two techniques when starting a thread? Maybe even post some tutorial pictures yourself The Flickr group, LEGO Arboretum is a one stop shop for cool trees and shrubbery. I will add it to your post. Cheers ISC.
  8. I'm going to try, just have no idea on what I can get built in time, as well as all the other things I have committed to.
  9. A nice representation of futuristic Historica technomagery. Well done.
  10. Well inspiration can strike at any time, as can the mood to keep building. As far as utilising Bricklink, everyone has a preferred way of doing this, I myself first look for a handful of useful parts and search first the catalog number, then choose the colour, then set for highest quantity. This can also be done through the price guide I think i find a store that has a few of the bulk parts i need, as multiple postage from different shops will outweigh saving a dollar from the cheaper shop, and then its time to fill the order with other interesting/cheap parts from the same shop. The US builders may be able to afford multiple smaller orders as postage within US is going to be cheaper.
  11. Nice paint job and great combo! Now I want one....
  12. Yes, that may be true, but the guild leaders and EB aren't a bottomless pit of prize support. Think Tags, titles etc rather than just LEGO prizes Da Maximus, we are working on special Tags at the moment for great contributors.
  13. Welcome aboard, its not a hard and fast rule per see, just a means of filling the other guilds up a little more to even out the fun.
  14. Well done Angeli, this is coming along nicely. I look forward to the final product. Will this become part of Challenge three?
  15. He certainly does owe his look to Robot Chicken.

  16. A really nice garden and surrounds teaming with wildlife. Great job on a really nice idea.
  17. This has turned out exceptionally! Well done Taz, love the little maersk mushroom btw Perhaps the only thing I would add is the triumphant scene of the gem in hand and the slain wyrm (I have always loved wyrms from my MtG days). You already have the MOC built so wouldn't take much to post a climax scene as well. Great job buddy, and it will be hard to beat I feel.
  18. Your guild leader has been on holidays IRL for a week or so, I am sure he will catch up soon. Great feedback so far guys, much appreciated, we will pour over all the ideas, but expect some mini challenges to turn up for sure!
  19. It's time for a Guilds of Historica survey. We, the guild leaders would greatly appreciate your input on how you think the community driven build has progressed and of course any improvements that can be made. Please drop by and vote/comment to help shape this fun world with us. Guilds of Historica Survey
  20. I'm really impressed with this build. White is not a colour I would associate with Castles but you have detailed the windows and walls well with the bley. The angled front adds a nice dimension to the whole creation, drawing you in through the front gate. As far as improvements, the lime vents don't really add much, some lime 1x1 rounds would look better, some tiles on the top of the walls, or even cheese. Good job, and I think your building will come along greatly with more MOCs. Using 2muchcaffiene's build is indeed nice inspiration.
  21. Here's a quick pic of the temple close up. Some goat rearing as well.
  22. Some really cool parts and figures on offer in this set Corny. Looks like it could be a winner. Thanks for a top notch review.
  23. This is amazing work Sebeus! I love all the details crammed in like the turtle heads. The colour scheme is some of my favourite colours as well so all round. Frontpaged as well!
