The reason it's so popular right now is probably from the show; hence, the 5 kids you mentioned probably watch it on a regular basis and couldn't wait to get their hands on a Lloyd spinner.
You should've gotten one, though. :o
Yeah, it'll be a trip to Walmart tonight and one to Toys'R'Us tomorrow on my way out-of-town to see if they have it there. :/
I don't think Lego's ever released one; the Green Ninja is what we're talking about now.
I don't suppose said odds will be higher if I try Toys'R'Us instead? I'd rather not seeing as the only one in town is completely on the other end but if it's more likely to be there I'll check it out.
Has anyone gotten the new Lloyd ZX spinner set yet? It seems to be available via Lego Store and Toys'R'Us websites in Canada so I might drop by one of those closest to me to see if they have them. I dunno for sure though.
Aaaannnndddddd...just finished Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale was by far the better Bond movie. Only a month and a half left till Skyfall comes out. :D
In the case of the latter I don't think it'll work too well, since they would need origin stories first; and I think that Marvel would rather those occur in solo movies first rather than in a T.V. series.
What I'd like to see is how SHIELD is founded by Howard Stark et al., unless that's being covered in Winter Soldier.
That would only work if the movie was set significantly before the events of The Avengers. It shouldn't be a problem if Disney and Sony really want to do it; I don't see why they shouldn't.
A bit late, but in NY last week I picked up Anakin's Jedi Interceptor (it was awesome they still had it in the Lego Store there), 2 Series 8's (Diver and Lederhosen Man), a Frodo cooking polybag, and a few Batman keychains for my friends.
My thoughts on how they'll do this:
1st - Beginning up to maybe when they get rescued by the Eagles.
2nd - Dropped off in Carrock up to the part where Bilbo's having his little conversation with Smaug.
3rd - From the end of 2. to the end of the movie.
And also any little details Jackson will bother to throw in.
