  1. ahah dude you're a genious :D i love the auto balance that it has!
  2. ehehe unfortunately no wheelies with that ratio lol :P it's less than 1:1 i can't put 1:1 ratio or more because of the chain weakness, it breaks up when the ratio is too high...even if the model is enough light to have a 2:1 ratio probably... ill shoot a video soon this week once it stops raining outside lol :P ps: damn i forgot the foot pedals :D i'll add em right now eheh
  3. ^^ thanx guys im happy you like it
  4. here are some pictures of the frame...im sorry they're dark :)
  5. i've never made instructions...mainly because i dont plan my models on the pc but i plan them while im building lol....but if you want i can take some pictures of the frame without panels and motors :)
  6. Hi guys, i've just built this quad....it's remote controlled and has RTC steering i hope you like it :) today it's raining and i can't take clear pictures...but i will...and ill shoot a mini video too :)
  7. auhauhahua thats cool! nono i was meaning something with PF :)
  8. :D I've just seen baumgartner jumping from 39k meters....and i wondered... a balloon! that's brilliant! Lets make a flying lego connected to a balloon filled with helium! That could be the first really flying lego :P something balanced that could float in the air with a propeller that make it move :P could it be?
  9. cornelius sorry for my wrong typing...im not english:) thank you blakbird i think ill give a try to sr3d... it seems really cool, i hope i can find a way to export it in 3ds or maya :)
  10. dude this rocks! way better than the yellow one!... cant wait to see updates :)
  11. As my job is vfx artist, id like to put out some cool 3d lego models... Could you tell me wich is the best program to build a 3d technic and export it into maya or 3ds ? :) tnxe (i wrote it better...are you happy now? -.-)
  12. yeah i need to drill the piston too maybe...last time i was testing the valve it blew up with only 1 bar XD due to the almost perfect sealing of the whole thing lol...but probably the best way of making it should be 2 valves in the same chamber...and i explain why: lets say we have 2 valves just like that one i posted, when the air gets into the first valve it pulls the piston and then get stuck in the valve chamber and could cause it's blown... having 2 valves under the same chamber will avoid this problem because when the first valve is closed the second one is opened so air always have a place to pass...im really near to get all of this working :D im so happy lol!
  13. FINALLY! after some days of thinking i came out with this custom, not so orthodox, lego valve :) hrontos gave me a brilliant solution wich is this one i had to modify some pieces, i know someone of you doesn't agree with it but you know, lego lacks some pieces :P if i manage to make my motor work (and i'm really near to get this accomplished) ill send it to lego...who knows, maybe they could produce these pieces so even the purists could build this engine :P
  14. eheh yeah mate you're probably right...im not an engineer unfortunately to know these kind of things so my "learning" proceeds by trying :P anyway even some wool wires could be good...be sure to wet them first so they will get well attached :)
  15. yeah i know modding and drilling pieces is not orthodox...it's the same for me, i don't like it but my problem was: PF motors don't allow a vehicle to go fast unfortunately...XL motor has nice torque but it doesnt have enough rpm to build a fast vehicle...at the same way a PLE motor requires a big compressor to work...so i was looking for some feather weight engine who could pull a medium vehicle. lego unfortunately lacks some useful pieces such as valves or stuff like that (probably because it's just a toy and im forgetting it XD) so i need to "cheat" and create from scratch valves... im aiming to something powerful :D btw if you havent dismounted it yet id like to see a sealed version of your video, just to understand how much improvement could it bring :)
  16. yeah dude! oakum is just like a string :) it's only thinner so you can apply it better...try with that, im curious to see how it goes with a better sealing :)
  17. yeah...do you have any idea on how to make it with legos? even including drilling some pieces :P
  18. FINALLY! drivin in my car i was thinking about the damn valve...and i came with this :) the problem now is how the hell can i make it with lego pieces ... :P help is well accepted !!!
  19. if i understood what you meant, the air is not gonna escape anywhere because of the oakum around the piston working like the real car piston's straps
  20. this one doesnt need so much air...i sealed it enough good and with a really weak blow the piston goes down...my aim was to use something like this lighter's gas bottle to power it... it has a good pressure because from liquid state it turnes into gas...i think it could be enough to power it...but i absolutely dont know how much torque it's gonna generate :P
  21. here it is :) mbmc made a test and it's working...but we need to make it work properly i really hope one day we can substitute the pf engine with an air/gas one :) video
  22. here's an idea of a possible valve system...a soft tube gets squeezed so air can't reach the piston... i definetly need to make a scheme of the tubes to figure out if it works or not...
  23. yeah it seems to work :P ok now, we need to improve sealing of the cylinders heads, i've posted a pic picture in the other topic... you need to seal well the pistons too...mine requires really a weak blow to make the piston work anyway the idea of the M motor seem to work good :) but i had another idea :) let me build it and ill post it in half an hour
  24. sure mate :) dont worry about writin my name :) knowledge is free
  25. ok, here's how i solved the sealing issue... the old 4x2 plate was losing air in the middle of it so i took a normal 2x2 plate and drilled it to fit the blue piece in it... i know it's not so orthodox but it was the only way :P the problem is that a pf motor goes always at the same speed... what i'm really trying to do is something like a "real car" system... an engine, a fuel tank and a "carburetor" controlled by a PF M motor working in the same way of an autocenter steering, so it releases pressurized air only when you require it
