Great shield. What is that part in the middle?

Are there many uses for planets? I have one, but can't incorporate it in mocs, too big for mocing, too small for playing as a planet...

pirates are not my thing (but space pirates are ), but that sail is fantastic! From my perspective, in some polyester or neon color, it would be great sail for a sky barge
