  1. thanks! I've actually been wanting to do a highway patrol car, so I will make one of them soon. Maybe a V8 Supercar can come after that, although I don't really follow that sport, so it may be difficult for me
  2. I finished this a few weeks ago, but never put any pics up here. So much lime... 57 studs long, 20 wide. It's huge! It's quite sturdy too, apart from the doors which are held on by just the black hinges at the bottom (in the racing stripe) as I don't think Lego even make hinges in lime. The wheel arches are a little weak too since I used some dodgy upside down building and attached with technic pins. Skimped on the interior a bit. I was pretty much over it once I'd finally gotten enough lime to build the rest, I just wanted it done. The bonnet opens and the engine-bay is bare. Like the Mini I made, I want to hook up some LEDs to the headlights and use the engine bay to store the battery box, but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Rest of the pics are on my MOCPage: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/332373
  3. I went nuts and ordered loads of lime to make this: Ford Falcon BA XR8 Utility. I'm thinking I will be better off dropping the scale of my cars down a bit. Easier on the piece count (and the wallet) that way. I get my proportions a bit wrong (as you can see) so I think a smaller scale will make it easier to fix that issue.
  4. Thanks! I was considering making a Mr Bean mini, but I'm using all my Lime bricks for another build. It was difficult for me to get this mini right. I don't own one or have access to one, and I never see them on the roads anymore, so all I had to go off were pictures on the internet. I know it's not quite perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out. Always room for improvement, but with this one I'm not sure whether I will alter it at all. I'll probably need to pull it apart soon as I want to do another car, and I want to do it in red, so will need these pieces.
  5. Sorry I will try to fix the brick shelf album. I haven't used brick shelf before today. The wheels are already pretty big. The wheels on the real thing are small and if anything I think my model has the wheels too big.
  6. My first post here outside of the introduction thread. Here goes... This is my large-scale Morris Mini that I've been working on for a while now. It's 38 studs long, 14 wide (not including the bumper bars and wheel guards). Not sure how many pieces, but alot more than I had anticipated. Several bricklink orders later (which added to the build time) I managed to finish it off. I've left the engine-bay open as I intend to put a battery box in there hooked up to some LEDs for the headlights (there is a hole behind each headlight to allow for this), I just haven't found a suitable kit yet. The doors open, steering wheel turns the wheels and the bonnet opens. That's about all the functionality it has. Enjoy and please post C&C for me. Thanks. Here are a couple of pics, the rest are here.
  7. Welcome. I like the blackhawk!
  8. Welcome! I didn't realise there were so many aussies here.
  9. I've finished the mini (just waiting on 2 wheels from bricklink). I'll take some pics once the 2 wheels arrive from the US. I'm still trying to work out where on this forum pics for this type of model would go. Maybe Special Lego Themes? **Edit: Wheels just arrived. I'll try and put up pics tonight. **Another edit: I've put up pics of the mini here. I've also almost finished the Ford Falcon ute in lime. Waiting on a bricklink order and will have it finished a few days after. Probably have it finished before the wheels for the mini arrive
  10. Hey Minifig_Matt and TimeCruiser, thanks for the welcome. I've found some amazing builds on this site! The Mini is coming along at a relatively slow pace (I haven't had a lot of time for building just lately. So far I've just made up the chassis and the front grille + headlights. I think these will be the trickiest parts of the build so it shouldn't really be long now until I have it finished. I'll post up some pics once it is complete. I want to get it finished so I can start on my next project which will be a late-ish model (BA or BF) Ford Falcon ute, in lime green, or maybe orange. Probably going to be a headache sourcing all the parts in those colours!
  11. Hi guys, My name is Sam and I'm an AFOL from Sydney, Australia. I was a huge fan of Lego while I was growing up but ended up in that dark age like alot of people tend to do. I managed to hang on to most of my collection (there is a lot missing though :( ) for all these years and I recently started to build again. I'm into the Star Wars sets mainly, but also like getting other sets depending on the pieces or minifigs they contain. What I enjoy MOCing are large scale cars and I try to make ones that have not been overly created by others (so avoiding the Lambos, Ferraris and other well-known super cars). Currently working on an old Mini which should be around 30-ish studs long. Funny enough, I've looked over this site a few times and always dismissed it thinking there wouldn't be much that applies to us here since it's a Euro site.... /facepalm I checked out the SBS over the weekend and there were some incredible creations there. The aim is for me to have something to display there next year, fingers crossed.
