  1. No problemo. Revenge happened 6 years later. Good video, by the way.
  2. Seeing those pics made me remind I had another lot to upload, and I finally did (folder has been moderated). All these pics were taken from ebay auctions. The main purpose was to show how some sets were exact/close copies while other sets looked nice and/or a bit original. Link to huge pic <- the Reading girl would have made a good impulse set. I like both the torso and the printed tile. And what about the leaves? While I agree with most of what I read (especially the excessive pinkness of those female-oriented clones) I still think I would have liked an upgraded Paradisa more than I dig Friends. While I thought the RV came with great add-ons (the blue bycicle!), the color scheme didn't look any good to me (and still doesn't).
  3. Amazon.it has a few more pics, and two of them make me think of false advertising. Link to the item. Questions hidden by spoiler button.
  4. Not HQ pics, but here's a start: link.
  5. Yes, feet do separate (but... how can I put this... these girls have tight legs... no pun intended). And you're right about hanlebars.
  6. This guy is accepting pre-orders on eBay. Yet he's the only one.
  7. Thanks, White Fang, for another outstanding review. I like most everything of Serie 7, and picked it as best so far. I would have love the hippie to have s Sky guitar to make him look like Uli John Roth, but they chose to give us another Flying V. Minifigs distribution is not bad either, so I'm really looking forward to grab my sixteen.
  8. I would have loved the colour shown on the box art. Sand blue (or whatever it's called) doesn't work with all those other bright colors.
  9. The Italian catalog lists the sets to be released in March; though Amazon.it has been listing the set since early January, the will be shipping them starting March too. I dig that blue bike too; I'm not happy with the rest of the set (up to now), but any bike colour other then red is welcome. Plus, that blue is just great. As for the names: I didn't read all of the previous posts, so someone might have already pointed this out, here in Italy, Andrea is a male name.
  10. The set is 47 studs wide, 20 studs deep and nearly 21 bricks tall (not counting the big black antenna). This means: cm: 38 x 15,8 x 20,5 without the black antenna (25 with) inches: 14.8 x 6.3 x 7.10 without the black antenna (10 with) I bought this set some 10 days ago from amazon.fr; it was (and still is) on sale for 30/31 Euros (+S/H), which is way much better than RRP (50 Euros), and it came with the new life jackets (3 regulars and 2 extras). By the way, I rate the set "above average". The big cons are the price and that sort of "bridge"; it looks original, but I would have preferred a tighter building and maybe a beach scene.
  11. Friends will hit the Italian shelves in 40 days, but they already hit the 2012 1H catalog. (please click thumbnails for larger pics) Here's the "regular front"... (bottom right corner reads "flip the catalog: New, for baby girls" And here's the "other front": (New: Lego world for baby girls) A folding page shows "Two new Duplo sets made for girls, who love to take care of pets and imitate mom when she bakes the sweetest cakes" (images of Duplo sets 4623 and 6785) The other side of the folding page shows the Disney princesses: "Endles ways of playing. Welcome to the fantastic world of fairytales. Play with your favorites characters from Disney fairytales..." Finally we have a two-page intro to the Friends theme and the girls and the "regular" 4 pages with the sets. The littlest surprise is that the link to the official italian page lego.it/friends does not work. It surely will in a few months (just like it happens with boyish Italian subsites).
  12. I think Oky's right. And, as a fan of TTs, I think we've seen a good lot of them over the last 6 years so it's not much of a problem if they are gone (for now) Hopefully, they will come back in a year or two (I mean, how long can the Cars license last?)
  13. I should have linked Mariann's review: here it is.
  14. Exactly. You can't go wrong with that. While, I once thought I felt his flask, and it was the ice skater's wig (epic fail!)
  15. I updated my vote since I now own 10 of them. But here's a new one for you, found on Mariann Asanuma's blog:
  16. I absolutely like most everything about the Forest Police, except: - the big helicopter - plain shirts (I'm quite sure we'll see something better in the official sets) - same old burglars - thieves - ex (?) cons (and I fear we're NOT gonna see anything different) As for the vehicles, bike transporter looks a bit too much like the horse transporter, but I'll be buying that one too (I'll be 5 for 5). Back on fire sets: Hooray for 1x1 round tiles and chrome helmets, but that's it.
  17. Come on, they can't ask 20 Euros for the fire truck, can they? As for the rest: dark red helemts = awesome! orange torsos and legs = I hope they have a nice print, otherwise, I should say they look quite bad. ATV = good for a daily mirror polybag, and a cheap way to own the new hlemet, but that's all. Not worth a fiver.
  18. Snakes, oh so many snakes! As for the 2011 wave, I'm not into those odd vehicles; but after skellies (bo-ring), we now have some great baddies!
  19. I like the three smaller sets, I'll surely be getting 'em As for the big ones, not bad, but I don't know if yellow works so good on them.
  20. A few days ago I was in a local toy shop. While feeling series 5 bags, I was talking to the owner about 2011 Advent Calendars. Before stupidly saying "too bad the SW calendar is so expensive", I saw the price: 19 Euros, just like the City AC. So here's my advice: check every place that has the SWAC; some owner may fall to the habit of selling it to the usual AC price.
  21. That was exactly what I was thinking. Plus, what's up with his headpiece? Did he just wake up after a nightmare?
  22. Last year the Calendar only had 6 figs; two of them were Santas, one of which taking a shower. On the other hand, happy family with lots of Christmas presents was something different than the usual. Still, I hope in 2012 they go back to 8 figs, 8 subthemes. More of my thoughts about past City Advent Calendars can be found here: Best & Worst CAC 2005-2009
  23. I voted "Below average" and "As good as last year". Well, as bad as last year. I agree with a lot of the above. We did not need two more policemen and thieves (we would hardly ever need them, but this year a new police wave was launched) and I miss the classic scheme 24 days = 8 figs and themes. When I was not totally happy with the 2009 City Advent Calendar, I surely did not imagine what was to come these two years.
  24. I don't know. I just hope all three of them were already gone from the box before I checked it (some 15 figs weren't there anymore). I used "feeling" too, because I didn't have the cheat sheet with me (and I wonder how can a cheat sheet help when some figs have 4 different sets of dots).
