heh, shows how much lego don't show thier potential.

NOTE - Some of these answers have been copied off other people comments. This is only because I would not have said it better myself. Why do LEGO toys have value to you? Because they can be used and re-used from your childhood to adulthood, and you never get sick of them. What makes LEGO brand construction toys worth your money? I mainly buy LEGO sets because of the minifigs that come with it, because I can't find a set with any good bricks in it nowadays. Longevity of pieces - If kept in the appropriate conditions LEGO can last for decades. In what way has the LEGO brand let you down? By not having a good castle theme! We want good-coloured peices, helmets and weapons. We don't want "Jellybean" knights, with green, blue and rediculous colours. The 2004 Jack Stone sized 4+ Pirate theme! * Most of these sets seem like an assortment of oversized pieces with a few traditional pirate elements added so they can be labelled Pirate set. * Making the sets FAR worse is the inclusion of the oversized Jackstone scale figures. They change the scale of the set (and pieces) in relation to the figure. SYSTEM scale mini-figures may have slightly redeemed the sets. * The cannons... They look nothing like cannons... What would you like to see LEGO (re)introduce in the next three years? A really good castle theme, with a nice army, and a sturdy, well-built castle with lots of good basic bricks. Personally, I prefer a caslte with a flat baseplate, instead of a castle on a raised baseplate that comes with less peices. This is being lazy, LEGO. This castle theme should not have numerous amounts of different coloured knights. Instead, this army will have a correct uniform with armour, preferably a decent coloured breastplate without a design on it. What does LEGO need to do to sell more products for less cost to them? Get rid of the newer colours, like blue-grey and dark red etc. I know that this may seem too annoying, because you've made a million new-coloured bricks, but once you have all of those sold and once you start making the old coloured bricks, it will be worth it. More lego fans would want to buy your sets. What reason(s) do you have for not buying new LEGO sets? The number of oversized specialised in sets. They seem to be the centrepiece of design rather than part of it. This makes the sets look bulky and limit its potential for alternate designs. Is this why LEGO rarely puts alternate designs on the boxes anymore? They can't create anything decent with them! The ridiculous amount of colours, especially the more hideous shades. Along the specialised pieces, this limits other designs and sets the pieces can be combined with. The Price. Compared to almost everywhere else LEGO is much more expensive in Australia and that is taking the exchange rate and postage into account. What will it take for LEGO to remain the best construction toy for all ages and be a profitable company? For them to make it appealing for both children and adults.

Maybe you could use the fleshtones as corpses in the graves? ;)
-
Yes, Same armour, but different faces are the way to go.
-
Yeah, well now there are descriptions and pictures on S@H.com
-
I'd just like a set that doesn't cost a fortune nowadays...
-
Does anybody else think the shark head and the Neptune tail thingy is useless? I guess you could use the tail on someone, though.
-
Well, I'm not a fan of HP, but I found these pics of 4 new sets: I see a black falcon's shield on there.
-
Yeah, I also have like, 370 cd's or so.
-
...and how do you two get all these sets so quickly. It's making me jealous. >-|
-
Oh, well I am worried about them being too hard to get off the pole...
-
...and they look like they're compatible with the lego beards! and RedBean's custom beards aswell!
-
I think I can wait until they are released in the stores...
-
Woo, that grabbed your attention, didn't it? Well, right now I'm excited because I found this on brickshelf: Viking Lego photos The photo is HUGE, but heck, it's worth the wait! This guy probably works for TLC, cause from that pic, those Vikings are 100% official! And check out those faces-they're awesome! and here is his folder, but the only other pic is of some guy with a shark-head??? Post Comments, Questions or any other related stuff here.
-
Wow, 31 buks on the Aayla fig already? Your one lucky guy.
-
Hey, sorry if I might be bumping this topic up, but does anyone know whether or not the Vikings will be released in Australia?

I like the decals, although that's an awful head. And I think thier called Ithorians, not hammerheads, but maybe that's just what one of them are called, oh well. Nice work. -
I've out done my BlockDeath.com find...
Cyclonis replied to Mister Phes's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Far out...why did you even bothor with this "I've outdone my BlockDeath.com find" topic? Whoop-de-do! Were you expecting an award when you said that you've outdone yourself? I came to the MOC forum to see MOCs!! I didn't come here to find this. When I saw this topic I just assumed that you've found a way to try to 'rip-off' Blockdeath in some vignettte way or something Lego-esqe like that. Not by displaying bloody sites like these! This is dissapointment. -
awesome. I can't remember me seeing this actual droid, but the head of it looks a little too plain. If this is what the droid looks like, then it's awesome!

2004/2005 Hunting Star Wars Sets and availability
Cyclonis replied to DoubleT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, there should be no further stalling for time. -
Okay, it's time for me to have a go; Well, on the Anikan starfighter, the other side of the wings have the grey design on them, but he hides away the other side of both of those red wings, by folding them into the ship. Maybe this is because he painted the whole thing red, or just found a red peice like that (where from, I do not know.) And in both of the red fighter pics, the sticker on the red tile peice down the front has looked pink. But no-one can edit a photo as good as this...

Well, if you buy two, brake one and add the peices on to the other one, then size isn't your main priority...
