Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Axis600 replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
Welcome to the Kaliphlin, Yoshi Sahib! I pray that your father will hold against the enemy, though perhaps DaMaximus Sahib can help you learn to live with the Drow. He's done pretty well as far as diplomacy goes. I love the look of those privateers You certainly put your Ninjago to use. -
I like the figurehead. I haven't seen that before. Aside from that? Do you intend to extend the bottom or the aft sections? It looks a little squared off. Ships from that age had a graceful curve to the hull. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just saying. Edit: Also, might want to make the pictures a wee bit smaller.

Wow. I'm speechless. That's awesome. The chains for the tree, the little butterfly things for those flying lizard critters...that's pretty sweet.

I know about the dark tan one. S'all good.

What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
Axis600 replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
I get the feeling that as far as pirates themselves are concerned, nobody's really too concerned. When it comes to other areas, i.e. Napoleon, the American or French revolution, and so on, that's when we start getting factual with the dates. -
About time someone broke the monotony I love your (French?) citizens. Your soldiers were pretty well done, too.

Hahaha, darn. You got my hopes up and everything. I love the little smudges on the garbage collector.

I remember reading this in freshmen year. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who enjoyed it Looking forward to what you come out with, Javert.

Kid Flare - Young Master of Fire
Axis600 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Haha, kid geniuses aren't as rare as they used to be. But this is a sweet figure. You put a lot of effort in, at least as far as I can tell. Don't correct me if I'm wrong -
I'm not sure I entirely understand the idea behind them, but the MOCs themselves are very cool. Personally, I think you could flesh out the steampunk one a little bit, but otherwise, I like 'em.

The Eurobricks Collaborative Pirate build at Brickworld Chicago
Axis600 replied to Big Cam's topic in LEGO Pirates
*wolf whistle* That's a pretty sweet build. Aw, who am I kidding, that's freaking awesome! I love the ghost ship and the dry dock. -
Is that a grey turban? huh, I never knew they made 'em in grey. I like him.

I'm in love Right after I just went through all the episodes of Hornblower, too. Those are fantastic ships. Your technique on the bow is very clever.

Oh...that's not good. This is going to be a fun first challenge. As far as photo quality, what're the rules on backdrops? I confess, I'm not much of a photographer. So I guess my question is, how much breathing room will we get? Never mind...I missed some of the other stuff. Good to go. -
For the record, this guy is an EB member. I've seen a bit of his stuff in the Minifigure Customization forum.

Saw this yesterday on CUUSOO. I like it! The technic skeleton is well done, the gondola looks good to go, and...everyone has pretty much said what I wanted to say about the minifigures.

Haha, you have me. I got bored with the little setting I had, so I threw a few of those pieces together, just to add a little scenery. -

My lord Flagg, I presume my messenger arrived with news of my arrival? I am Khamar Ibn Hakkad, representative of the Al Ezaela tribe, or as the Kaliphlin tribe knows us, the Eastern tribes. I know many regard us as savages and bandits. To offset this negative image, I trained in the Petraea Officer's School. My tribesmen. At the behest of our leader, the man with the spear, we have little of the new dwarven weapons I have heard so much about. Axes, scythes, and spears have served us well since long before Historica as we know it existed, and he believes that they will serve us well in the coming years. Not all of us are resigned to the old ways, though. Many of the younger tribesmen have joined me in being trained. These are the famed Al Ezaeli lancers. I said we had little dwarven weapons. These men are my cannoneers. The weapons are fairly new...we have yet to test this in battle. With this mess with Revelword, though, I suspect we shall get our chance... Best regards, Khamar Ibn Hakkad -
Don't be so quick on that. Avatar is a pretty popular show, but I doubt they'd make a line of it after the flop that the first round was. I'd love to see a few Korra sets, but with only two seasons planned, it probably isn't happening.

Hahahaha, that's awesome. Your lightbulb works better than mine

Ah, so THAT'S what he looks like... Everyone else has pretty much said what I wanted to say about the floor. But I also really like the two buildings.
