I disagree, the original scene would have worked just as well with your interpretation. The scene was altered to adhere more to the prequels. In Revenge of the Sith, the Emperor tells Vader that he killed Padme in his anger. Vader blindly believes this and screams the infamous "No". It's also worth pointing out that later day Lucas has no subtlety in his work. Look no further than the forced inclusion of the "No" in the Blu Ray release of Return of the Jedi. The altered conversation ends up being another example of how the prequels don't align well with the originals.

Bruce Almighty?

I actually find that change to be just as bad as the others. They changed the dialogue in that scene to have Darth Vader not know that Luke is his son prior to that conversation. This doesn't make any sense for the opening crawl clearly states that Darth Vader is seeking Luke. It makes Darth Vader seem incompetent for not considering that someone with the same last name as him and is force sensitive might be related to him.

Felicity Jones is being considered for the first spin-off: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-stand-alone-movie-768582

The most recent episode, Call to Action may be the best episode yet! The return of a certain Governor put a lot of things in perspective. It also shows that the creators are willing to reference this show's predecessor.

Thanks The Kid for providing information on the upcoming sets! Does Leia have a new face print similar in style to Han and Luke? And is the imperial officer the same as the one in the Tie Advance Prototype? Sorry to bombard you with questions.

Lucas already did a terrible job of maintaining the canon before Disney acquired Star Wars, just look at the Clone Wars. At least now they'll adhere more to it with what they create. You're also not doing a great job of being "careful" by making unsupported claims designed to elicit responses from members.

What was the last movie you watched?

The Transformers films have long since abandoned science fiction. Age of Extinction literally threw out physics just to show off all the product placement deals they got (Transformium). Most Superhero movies released now are much better made than the Transformers films (and have better continuity). -

They might be able to do the ultimate version of Spider-Woman, who is a female clone of Peter Parker. It would actually make sense since the movies make a huge deal about the venom only working with Peter's DNA.

The dwarves are from the Iron Hills, which has mountainous terrain. I imagine they would have something similar to Bighorn Sheep there. So it wouldn't be too far out of the realm of possibility that the dwarves domesticated them. It's also worth mentioning that dwarves are probably short enough to ride them.

New Trailer:

One of the main parts of Thor: The Dark World, was the relationship between him and Jane. To just have them break-up offscreen goes against what the film was conveying. It does make sense though, Natalie Portman hated her experience on the Thor sequel. Iron Man 3 shows Tony Stark choosing to be with Pepper Potts by getting rid of all of his armors. To have him return as Iron Man right away also goes against what the film was showing. Not to mention that one-shot involving Trevor Slattery screamed damage control.
-
If these rumors are true, then Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World were mostly pointless. It would also be a waste of the good chemistry shared between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.

I'm actually more excited about this show than I am for most of the upcoming movies.

It's not so much about how dark the film is, but more with how the characters are portrayed. Boba Fett is a ruthless bounty hunter and Han Solo is selfish smuggler (before A New Hope). Disney might want to make them into misunderstood characters that the galaxy has misjudged.
-
Gareth Edwards is a great choice for Boba Fett. Part of the appeal of the character is his mysterious nature (one of the numerous things the prequels undid). Like Godzilla, Boba Fett shouldn't be explored as a character. I think the best approach towards basing a movie on him, is to do it like the films, Dredd or Leon: The Professional. Have the movie focus on another character (a protege or rival bounty hunter) while still having Boba Fett in the forefront. Josh Trank is also a good choice for a Han Solo film. Chronicle depicted a tortured soul trying to understand his place in the world. A similar thing can be done with Solo during the rise of the Empire. The problem with both of these films is Disney. They'll probably want to make them as likable as possible. They did this to Maleficent (a very wicked character) in her own movie.

Your viewing experience might actually be better by not watching The Wolverine right away. There are a few discrepancies between it and DoFP. It is not necessary to watch in order to enjoy DoFP. As for Professor X, the after credit scene from The Last Stand shows him putting his mind into a comatose patient. Lastly, the cure is shown to not be permanent. Magneto is able to manipulate a chess piece at the end of The Last Stand. Despite what I said, I still recommend The Wolverine. It is a nice, personnel tale of Wolverine dealing with the ramifications of the third film. I also highly recommend DoFP, it is one of the better superhero movies to have come out recently.

He played a member of the IRA before being the bodyguard to the main character. He definitely has the physicality to play the role of Daredevil.
-
Odd choice, but he was great in Boardwalk Empire as Owen Sleater.
-
It would be nice if one of the characters was a Chiss. That race has yet to be represented in any film or series.

While unlikely, it would be interesting if this was a retelling of the Thrawn Trilogy. Adam Driver could play Admiral Thrawn, Max Von Sydow could play Jorus C'baoth and Andy Serkis could play Rukh.
