I started downloading it about eightminutes ago and it should take about 42 more minutes (thank you high-speed internet).

'Twas the summer of 2007 and I was out of school I sat at home, many a time With nothing left to do I tried castle men, I built meself a castle This obsession, it failed horribly With all minifigs set aside And there I was again... A sad tale of a lad from Castle But, Hark! I saw the pirates In their multi-faced glory, I saw one thing first to the computer, and the small boats And the figures came next, ten came first More and more pirates came To Eurobricks, steadily watching My numbers at twenty, and two weeks spent on LDD My pirates complete, and then a small dark age The two months spent, I returned to Eurobricks But, alas! I have not a ship and only a tower I came here, and have remained ever since!

Before coming here I have spent several months making ships on LDD and have seen a small number of those kinds of ships here. What are the main problems that make it such a little-used tool?

Oh, that's cruel Mr. Phes... then give me all of your LEGO!!!! but, I have reached the conclusion that I should try to make a ship and then get parts and men to outfit and crew it, after which I acquire more ships, men, sets, etc.

I was thinking of trying to get a few emperor's ships off of BL and making a Junk fleet out of them. The ITP ships are cool-looking, but I don't know how to get one by itself. I also finished a small skiff tomorrow, with one crewman and one little sail, and it has yet to be named (suggestions are much appreciated).

Well, Mr. Phes, the heads are relatively fine, but the clothing could be differed, maybe some customs :-$ , I've been thinking that maybe some random "colonial" torsoes would work to simulate stolen and looted equipment and clothing.

Thanks, but those natives seem to be more of a Comanche or Apache theme, while the French and Indian Wars were fought with the Iroquois and other such eastern tribes.

Thank you for the torso designs, but being a rookie at customizing, (and not having a printer :'-( ) the designs would be a little to apply for me. I also have completed a "Swamp Fox" minifig, but have yet to take pictures of him. I have found the Pirate Captain Torso, with a real hand instead of a hook, is very good for these sorts of things as it gives the impression of a sort of dirtied suit.

It came in the mail today... I'm only on about step four or five and there are already many pieces I've realized are missing. Also, the minifigs are largely incorrect and I can't seem to find all of the cannons. Also, I have no pirate set-building or MOCing experience to build a decent ship. My first dissapoinment on eBay was this one ship. It definitely was 80 USD (+20 shipping) depressingly spent.

Actually, I've been looking around on Eurobricks for several months, but I joined because I just got one of those random "lego surges," where you want to build with everything in sight!
