I haven't kept up with the Star Wars forums here, so maybe there is more information out there about it, but I find this incredibly difficult to believe. Could you let us know what pieces you found to be Old Grey?

Is it just me and my wishful thinking, or is the webbing on Penguin's umbrella a separate piece that slides onto what would otherwise be a great piece for Riddler's cane?

Laptop with related film/game/show, glass of water, pair of tweezers for potential stickers, and brick separators just in case. I almost exclusively dump all pieces into a large pile, sometimes multiple or a whole wave of sets at once; I always do smallest set to largest set. The build is my favourite part, so I don't mind taking a whole day to put a wave of sets together. I save minifigures and accessories for last as a dessert, separating them into piles of heads, headgear, torso, legs, body wear, and accessories. I pick a head at random and complete the figure from there.

Thank you for the list, GRogall! Should this list be accurate, I can safely say I'm looking forward to purchasing several Conquistadors and a single Pirate Captain. I will be purchasing several of the Fairy if designed correctly, and I'm entirely interested in what Santa and the Trader will look like. However, I must agree with others; the Vampire on the list is rather baffling to me.

Well they did make a Neptune figure in Series 7, even going so far as to officially call him "Neptune" in the recent Lego Magazine, so I do believe a Zeus figure would be quite feasible.

I don't believe I've ever bought an actual set for the minifigures alone, assuming figure-based sets, such as the line of Minifigures or Battlepacks, are excluded. There have been times I have considered it when news of figures started appearing, such as with Monster Fighters' Ann Lee, or for the Thor figure, yet my initial desire left when higher quality pictures of the figures were revealed. Perhaps one day I can see myself justifying the price of a set strictly for the figures, but this has yet to be the case.

Each set had a yellow sticker on it, listing its retail price, followed by its marked down price. Additionally, they were all stacked on the shelf plastered with signs saying "Take an additional 50% off!" which would've made them, roughly, 75% off

Thank you, moop, for the information. My local K-Mart seemed to be having the sale on Pirates of the Caribbean sets. Unfortunately, there was no Revenge to be found, nor London Escape or Whitecap Bay, which would've been the only three I could've used multiples of. The other sets were there, at roughly 25% of their initial MSRP.

I, too, have a good amount of figures, sets, and pieces that predate me by some years. At only 22, that isn't such a large accomplishment, though I grew up with a lot of sets that were made before my time, and I have a lot of fond memories looking in catalogs which came with the boxes back then, wishing I had all of the classic models. Since I got back into Lego, I would also say my collection of models from an older era has doubled from when I was a child.

Not in my experience. The aforementioned torso, King Revet's head, Elizabeth's hair, and dark grey legs will make a fine Gamling for me.

As in I don't remove legs from waist, but I'm sure you are aware of that already.

I'm fairly delicate and I notice figures that I've dismantled have cracks, presumably due to the removal of arms. That's fine for you, but I will enjoy my new, Yellow, Gamling among my flesh-toned Rohirrim.

They arrive that way in the box, as we all know. I've never had pieces crack unless severe stress was placed on them. With arms, torsos, and waists, after time, these break more and more. You may very well have a way to dislocate these safely 100% of the time, but not everyone is as delicate as you. Other components seem to take much more force than the aforementioned details of the minifigure, at least in my experience. Because of this, I choose to not remove hands, arms, and legs, unless special circumstances arise. To me, this torso would be near perfect for Gamling until Lego provides a true alternative.
