  1. Whereas I like the background, and this looks much better than the official Surge 'Breakout' figure, I personally think this should just be a Surge revamp, with a different MOC as Electrix. But aside from that, good work on the MOC.
  2. Oh, the irony. I personally think his roles in villain voice acting were mostly better than his role as Luke Skywalker. I always hear his voice for the Joker when I'm reading Batman comics.
  3. Shouldn't this be considered a snake rather than a centipede? Centipedes have 100 legs.
  4. Even though I didn't see this sequence in the Avengers movie, its still a cool set. It's the cheapest set with Cap and a couple of Chitauri soldiers. The bike and glider could have their uses, I suppose, but I'll just be getting it for Cap.
  5. That would be a pretty big box.
  6. It's not a perfect replica of Samus Aran, but the idea is good, and the figure itself looks really good. It would be nice to see Metroid Lego Action figures and system sets. Indeed. They weren't even recognizable as Lego.
  7. Bionicle, of course. Even if I was not a long time Bionicle fan, I would say the same. Galidor was one of Lego's worst selling lines, based off of a downright strange TV series, and was hardley even recognizable as Lego. The plastic was cheap and the toys didn't have that much playability or customization ability. Bionicle on the other hand...I could write a ten page (maybe more) report on why Bionicle was great and Lego's best ever line, but I won't do that here on EB.
  8. Possibly. Perhaps it is
  9. I think the idea in the new one is better, and it looks quite a bit more like Batman from the side, but from the front the ears look too wide...I prefer the old one from the front.
  10. I agree with you on all points, with the exception of the fact that Thor did land on the top of the Quinjet at one point, if that counts as riding on it. Unfortunately, Lego probably: a) didn't know everything that would happen in the movie b) wouldn't want to spoil the plot c) needed the sets to appeal to younger children, with plenty of cool heroes and vehicles Honestly, I'm glad that they didn't (for some of the sets anyways) because now I can get Iron Man with Hawkeye and Loki in the Cosmic Cube Escape set, and we see Cap with his Motorbike (from his movie last year) in a Lego Set.
  11. is trying to act chalant.

  12. I used to keep all my minifigs on display in my designated "minifigure shelf", but since moving into my new apartment last summer, they've been in boxes, with the exception of Batman figs who keep a watchful eye on Gotham from my desk.
  13. I've just seen the Avengers movie with my (nerdy) friend, and I noticed that this particular sequence with Iron Man following Loki and Barton (Hawkeye) in the SHIELD jeep isn't actually in the movie. But somehow I'm not surprised.
  14. Nice one, Oky! The only question I have is why are Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk disassembled, but Cap is assembled? Great job as usual.
  15. Great review! This is probably the best designed Avengers sets (except for Loki's chariot). I think from the outside it looks 100% complete, and sleek like a real jet plane, but as usual the inside is kind of underwhelming. The price seems to be the big problem. I stopped buying Star Wars sets a few years ago because of those ridiculous prices. If I had the $$, I think I'd pick up this set. Instead, I'll stick with Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape.
  16. It would be nice to get a Lego She-Hulk. Mind if I ask why you want your Toy Story soldiers nude?
  17. Hmm, I'm a big DC and Marvel Comics fan, so my list features some interesting characters. -Raven: Teen Titans comic of TV series version; I like them both -Red Robin: Tim Drake was my favorite Robin from the comics. Red Robin was, if possible, even better. -Professor Pyg: Oink. Need I say any more? -Ambush Bug: What? What's wrong with Ambush Bug? -Ultimate Spiderman Miles Morales: Good to keep up with the current generation. -Bat-Mite: Seeing him in Lego would be a dream come true. -Power Man: Iron Fist will be made, so why not Power Man? They're both in the Ultimate Spiderman TV series. -Gwen Stacy: One of my favorite Spidey-girls. She was very cool in Ultimate Spiderman (comic) and the Spectacular Spiderman TV series. -Question: He'd make a good minifigure for your superhero collection, and he's an interesting character.
  18. Actually a decent commercial. I like it better than the DC one with Batman and the Joker. The one feature on the Iron Man figure which I think is out of place is the Gatling gun. Shouldn't that be on War Machine? (I hope he's in the Avengers!)
  19. Wow, great MOCs! I envy your works. I like the use of Inika feet under Nex's boots; I never knew that you could do that. The addition of white armor adds a touch more flavor to the character. A very cool revamp! My other favorite was Stormer XL. I wouldn't classify him as XL, but his size does give him a distinct air of command; the leader should be the "big gun", right? Would you mind doing a breakdown of his skeleton? I'd like to use the design for some MOCs. Junk King is also awesome! Great skeleton design, looks like it allows plenty of articulation. Most of these titan skeletons restrict quite a bit of movement. The general idea "Junk King" is also awesome. I think XT4 from the summer series is a junk bot. Perhaps Junk King is his boss?
  20. Though I can't say no to Samuel L. Jackson in Lego (nor Scarlett Johansson, nor Spidey...), my favorite Marvel minifigure is probably Iron Man, Mark VII. The helmet is a very cool new piece, and the printing is very nice. After Mr. Stark (and Nick Fury, and Black Widow, and Spidey...) I think the new Captain America is the best fig.
  21. Impressive MOC! I notice that you've based Robin off of Robin from Arkham City , or am I wrong, and is it Damian Wayne? The tea cups and teddy bear are a nice touch. I like how Batman and Robin are hanging from those translucent green vines. I feel like the Hatter could have been made better, but who am I to complain, especially when the rest of this creation is so good? Keep up the good work.
  22. I'm not a huge fan of your Batmobile, but that Metallo looks fabulous! I always thought that head looked like Metallo. Very neat work on the hip and shoulder joints. Your Batwing is also very nice. Is it based off of the Javelin in JLU? Very sleek design, nice use of SNOT.
  23. At a first glance you don't quite notice the missing joints; it looks perfectly fine. I suppose it would be an added plus to have the other 5 points of articulation, but as far as looks go, there's nothing wrong with it.
  24. Very cool MOC! Very simple design, but it works well. The contrast in the color scheme works to make Slesher look a little crazy. I really like how his hands are replaced with Pridak's shark-tooth blades. The colors, helmet, and blades remind me a lot of a MOC I have sitting in my shelf. Great minds think alike? Or coincidence? Good job, anyways.
  25. Great review! The pictures are good quality and you give a good overview of the minifigures. I'll definitely pick up this set, if no others. My least favorite figure is probably Hawkeye, because of the hair. But they all look very good, especially Mr. Stark. Question: Does Iron Man's helmet visor slide up, or do you have to take it off and connect it again?
