Thanks, Klaus-Dieter! About the post officer on the bycicle I must say that's a detail I really wanted to put in a MOC since a long time ago. As somebody grown up in the french culture I thought the postman in a bycicle was a "classic element" of every town About the TLG release, this year we're having a lot of civilians structures so I think we can really expect something similar to this. At least, that's my hope!

Nice MOC, interesting designs for the engine and the mud guards and cool use of chrome parts

WOW! Very impressive CC re-re-MOD I wish that lovely buldings could be part of my City... Excellent job OptimusPrime12380

Amazing design! If I can make one criticism: maybe the head should have been a bit smaller but it's still cool

Thanks again for your positive comments, everybody! Thanks, Skinny Boy! Halas you'll have to wait, at least, two or three months as I've decided to enlarge the diorama with other buldings and elements. I still have to order many bricks from BL and wait for one or two summer sets... But don't worry I'll continue to post the WIP I sincerely hope you people will like the final result! Not really. The interior is a bit inspired in a little post office near home but the exterior is inspired in one of the 4996 set variations, and some others from BS! Of course! I have a lot of work in this moment and sadly I cannot actively participate in the Community Build, but be free to incorporate this MOC to it (and maybe some others I'll post from this diorama project! )

Simply hilarious! The poor knofe thrower's face is priceless!

Thanks! And yes, it would make more sense for the door to open towards the fence... When I built it it was obviously without the van and I did not see thtis detail so thank you

Veri nice work WetWired I already saw the LDD design and I found it quite brilliant and fitting prefectly with the CC and GG style Anyway I have two little criticisms to make (no offense! ) : first, petshops used to have very large show-windows in order to expose all the animals and I find yours a bit small (but I understand the building size does not offer many place) and second, I find the Pets ad wonderful (I really love that "P" ) but too large for the building size...

Magnificent and terryfing display

Nice MOC! I specially like the B&W&Red color scheme and the pirate ambience that secret cave gives to it

Thank you so much everybody for your nice comments! I built this little one for two main reasons: first I found the 4996 Creator set quite interesting but the Beach House and the alternative models did not please me so much so I was looking for something to build with, second I was really suprised that TLC did not release some post office after the two great post sets from 2008 so I did this MOC for replacing this lack in my City display I agree with you, and that was the preliminary project but unfortunately I was really running out of bricks and I had to improvise something. Anyway there's a little window in there but I think I'll replace it as there's not so visible as I would want. That was the idea! First I thought on putting an owl but I realized that "grey falcon" (I really never knew what Lego tried to represent with it... ) would work better as a carrier pigeon.

Hi everybody! As promised, I post the final building creations of the main Town diorama I'm preparing. It's something I think it's basical in every town: a post office (hope we'll see something similar from TLC in 2010 ) This one is created with most of the 4996 bricks ( amazing Creator set by the way! ) Enjoy! The rest of the shots can be seen at BS here (when moderated) I know there's no sig-fig in it but I prefered to keep them for the main diorama display. Don't worry I won't forget them Comments are welcome!

I agree Some "city life" or "sidewalk scenes" contest would be awesome

Just perfect! Wonderful scenery, script and direction.

As the rest of your "The History of" works, simply great! Nevertheless I don't know pretty much about russian history excepting the main details you exposed here so I cannot criticize anything... The Ivan the terrrible vig is awesome! BTW, could we expect a "The History of Spain"? I could help you if you need somme suggestions or ideas

Great modular designs An funny burial scene

I know this information has been discussed here already but today I was looking for the new IJ or Pirates sets in a toy store (yes, we still don't have them in Spain... ) and I heard another guy asking the toy seller about the new pirate line. He told him that a new ship (did not say if pirate or imperial one) was already in the prices catalogues and should be available for 2009 christmas or 2010 first months. I don't really know if this is true or just a rumour but I thought it could interest you all or, at least, give you some hopes...

Nice idea, and wonderful result! Very close to the "original"!

Nice review! I really like those "Studios" sets, I think they're very interesting and cheap, I suppose (as most of them are little ones ). Unfortunately when they were sol I was in my dark ages and now they've become very rare...
-
Wonderful drawings! I think we all wish the official designs will be so great...
-
It's really a nice creation, specially because of the windows and all the architectural details The color scheme is a bit too "tetric" for me but the "Cafe" ad is very well done. Bravo!

Amazing design, very accurated!

Thank you very much for your nice comments! Hope you'll also like the rest of the MOC

I was also wondering about the critical lack of roadplates in the last City sets... I suppose the simple answer is economical: if TLC sells roadplates in the main sets it doesn't sell roadplates sets. You never ask yourself why TLC used to sell, for example, straight roadplates packs years ago and now they only have straight and crossroad packs? (being the second one a bit useless if you only have one straight... ) The straight ones are also terribly difficult to find in BL so if you want to have some decent City roads you must buy five or six 7280 or 7281 packs. That's the trick! But I think sometimes they exagerate a bit: the new City Corner set or some Construction one ask desperately for a nice roadplate, doesn't they?
