  1. I'm not a fan of Castle or Pirates anymore so just the oldest one (Black witch)
  2. Nice job, welcome to the modular mania! I really like the first floor, specially the facade and garden backyard. Now for constructive criticism I would say the interiors are a bit too empty (but if it's for exhibition is not so important) and, in my opinion, the roof section doesn't goes well with the rest of the building, it's a bit too "classic town" when the first and second ones are more like modular style. I would do the roof not so high maybe and would add some little windows. But this is just my opinion
  3. Thanks for this nice (and fast!) review! Can't wait to see more of those new light bricks, they can become a real revolution in Modular MOCing as The Brickster says
  4. Nope, I think it's completely new and it looks really nice. Hope we'll have this one as a City MF too

    City 2010

Thank you very much for the pictures! I must say I'm not a big fan of the 2010 City sets but that small car looks very very promising (I'm the only one who seeing some kind of SMART?) Anyway I'll wait proper reviews for a proper advice
  6. You could add some brown and tan tiles (or even some plates abive the tiles) for some dirtiness and maybe some yellow ones for the straw I think it's a typical european farm. Its design can be found all around the continent I think But it's true the red is an extremeley recurrent colour in swedish houses and countryside buildings
  7. Colorful and nice designed and detailed Nice beginning in the modular-mania
  8. Sweet farm! Exterior details are really nice and I specially like your MODs for the official Farm vehicles
  9. Brilliant one! I really like your vehicle (land, air or sea) creations Your work is allways stirring for me
  10. I'm a big fan of your work, SlyOwl, and I allways keep a shot or two in my gallery but as a City lover I must say this is one of your best works Not only you perfectly illustrate the song but the amount and the quality of all the details is just pricelss. BRAVO!
  11. Nice design, it would be a wonderful City set with very interesting MFs I specially like the exterior of the Cafe and its floor BTW, I don't pretend to criticize the title of your MOC but I don't see the typical parisian style in your building. Nevertheless it would fit perfectly in many little french towns

    MOC: Camper

Wow! The real model looks impressive, can't wait to see pics of the interior. It's a wonderful MOC this camper of yours, the idea for cheese slopes in the middle section is brilliant
  13. Thanks for your comments from my friend We've never checked it but yes, it could be very very expensive... I understand what you mean but remember it's supposed to be a little pavilion for pleasure, specially for hunting. It's not at all for living in but just for spending a night or two between shooting parties. A fountain or some benches could look great but for being historically accurated (and I can say my friend should be as proffessional historian) they would be useless... If you want try to imagine it not in a city or even in a field but more between some wooded hills or near to a forest
  14. Just as wonderful and highly detailed as your precedent one. A capital BRAVO! As Marko says you really get the atmosphere and details like the advertising or the rusty tank are magnificent touches
  15. Weird news, indeed I can't understand what's wrong with the name "Castle" too but I remember that when I was a kid the theme was called "Medieval" in Spain so well, is not so terrible...
  16. Nice MOC! Imaginative design and really detailed
  17. Thanks for your nice comments from my friend Mmh.., I agree but remember it's supposed to be a little pavilion for pleasure or hunting, just as Versailles started so I supposed he didn't want to fill the courtyard so much Anyway I think a green floor instead of grey would be better
  18. I've had this model around my gallery for a long time and viewing it with a friend we decided to post this LDD model he did some months ago. It's just a little house with a garden inspired in old Versailles, and I think it looks really nice, doesn't it? What do you think? I've put it here, in the History forum but if admins think it could fit better in Pirates' one please feel free to remove it.
  19. I've started a new topic for this as I consider it as a new discussion no necessarily related to the main 2009 AC discussion but if the Admins don't do so please feel free to remove it This morning I was speaking with a toy seller (friend of mine after all the money I've spent in his store in Lego through the years...) in Madrid and I asked him for the 2009 Advent Calendars, as he told me last year he was one of the few toy sellers in Spain selling it. He told me everybody was considering this year's calendars ridiculously overpriced and he was doubting about purchasing them, nevertheless last year he waited until the end of november and he get some City Advent Calendars half-priced (that's why I get mine only for 16€) and that he was going to try to do the same this year. As I assume I cannot post his shop web or adress in this forum, feel free to contact me if you want them. Now, for french customers I've more or less the same new. He's in touch with an well-known toy shop in Paris (I'll also give you the name if you want it) and he told him that they already have the Calendars at the regular lego.com price but for the end of november they'll sell them also half-priced so I've you can wait until you'll save 15 or 16 € for more Lego
  20. Great job! Compact and little car but wonderfully detailed. Bravo!
  21. Cheers from me too, Classic-Town team! I can assure you I visit your blog every day, it's the perfect way to find the best daily City/Town & Trains MOCs in the Lego community and it's allways an honour when you post some of my own creations Keep the great job
  22. Nice review, Whitefang! Always a pleasure to read your annual City A.C. one Maintaining what I've already said about this special set I think it's not so interesting as precedent ones, specially for the lack of new MFs (specially ladies) or new elements but also for being abusively overpriced Nevertheless it remains a very nice little collection of City elements and people and a great addition if you're a City collector and even a City "army builder" as I am You've a bit of all: policeman, postman, community workers, civilians, a kid and even a Santa... I'm not sure yet and I will depends on my luck for finding it in Spain but thanks to you, WF I'm really considering buying it again this year
  23. Nice topic I wouldn't say Farm theme is dead. It's true it hasn't been explored before and its results could seem a bit fragile but there's a lot of possibilities and if we know something about TLC is precisely that we never know... As new sets I would like to see: - A shepherd - Some house for the farmers - Henhouse
  24. Simple idea, but really nice result
