  1. I would have preferred Aurora in the blue version of her gown for the mini Disneyland castle set.
  2. Sets based on the upcoming Chaos Theory series are a given
  3. Eh, maybe it will be the castle in the current Disney Studios logo. It is clearly based off Cinderella’s castle at Disney World, except for the different proportions of the turrets/towers and extra flourishes.
  4. Disney 100 CMF wishlist. I purposely left out Pixar and tried to throw in some figures that would honor the theme park division. 1. Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey (hat, broom, bucket) 2. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit 3. Snow White (basket, apple) 4. Pinocchio (school book) 5. Jiminy Cricket (medal) 6. Fantasia Female Centaur (flowers) 7. Cruella De Ville (Dalmatian puppy) 8. Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost 9. Figment; may be too obscure for general consumer 10. Tiana in Wedding Gown (Naveen frog) 11. Dr. Facilier (Tarot cards) 12. Mirabel (candle) Alernates that could also make the final list: Jack Skellington Sally (nightshade urn) Judy Hopps Nick Wilde (pawpsicle) Moana (Heart of Tefiti) Orange Bird (in place of Figment to represent WDW) Vanellope Von Schweetz Bruno (rat accessory) Haunted Mansion Constance w/ axe (murderous ghost bride probably too grim) Walt Disney
  5. Yes, I thought a set with the Surfer Boy Pizza Van would be fun. The minifigs would be Argyle, Mike, Will, and Jonathan.
  6. The Haunted Mansion set leaked, it’s based off Disneyland’s version. I wish they included a more interesting character for the minifig. Would’ve like to have seen Constance the Killer Bride, the Hatbox Ghost, or even the grave keeper and hound dog. It’s a castmember in the Haunted Mansion uniform
  7. So it looks like this Mickey has a red bowtie in comparison to having a yellow one in the larger castle. I’ll definitely be picking this one up; I had wanted the original but don’t have display space for such a massive set.
  8. The target aged kids (ages 5-11) who made the original movie a phenomenon 8 years ago are now teenagers. Perhaps TLG wanted to hit that demo with nostalgia?
  9. Duplo set just leaked, should be seeing the rest soon?
  10. ^^^ same, I stopped by Target last night and saw TWO untouched boxes. Got all 12, even though the character order placement was opposite from reported case distributions. Also saved $10 with the promo the store had.
  11. Yikes at the price on the Firestation set (50€; 144 pieces)
  12. Massive improvement over the fan model. Seriously debating on adding this set to my collection.
  13. I finally went to the lego store today to pick up the CMF. I usually take time to feel through the bags, but for obvious reasons I randomly grabbed 16 bags from a row of what looked like a fresh case to test my luck. Turns out I did pretty well, 11 out of 16! ***edit*** my local store still had the Hagrid Brickhead in-stock. The Lego rep tried persuade me to purchase more items to meet the gwp, haha.
  14. The leaked photo has the 1989 Batman logo so I doubt any of those characters are in the set. Maybe a Joker variant with streaked flesh/white makeup and beret?
  15. Underwhelming series. Such boring variants of the main trio.
  16. Nice, so they’ll probably start showing up at the big box retailers by the end of June.
  17. IDEAS Winnie the Pooh? *shrugs* I don’t think there will be another theme park related set anytime soon. It doesn’t seem like the Disney Train sold well given the deep discount during last year’s holiday sales.
  18. Whoa. Looks pretty good! No wonder as to why the Ideas Disney Haunted Mansion set was rejected.
  19. Gyrosphere set looks good and the build is actually lifted from a scene in the film (!) but it’s a tad barren for a $100 plus price tag kit. Another small terrain side build would have helped it look more substantial. I returned the original I-Rex set shortly after purchasing it in 2015 and regretted it, so I’m glad to see a color accurate version here. In the 360 spin around, it looks like the ankylosaurus tail is articulated! I can’t wait to get this one. Lab set is cute and so are the baby Dinos. The velociraptor set really surprised me! I was expecting to dismiss it but the recolored raptor is nice. I’m not a fan of huge, chunky vehicles so the Gallimimus set is a hard pass.
  20. Walmart was open on Easter morning so I popped in and found an unopened box on the shelf to sort through. Easily picked out the 13/16 that I wanted. I don’t really pay attention to the prices of the CMF but was pleasantly surprised to see it ring up as $3.44 after seeing the SRP is $5.
  21. Probably not, but I’ll be there on Friday to find out!
  22. Meh, I’m not impressed by the minifig assortment and by the lack of a brick built Mickey floral. Skipping this; I can wait for a Goofy variant in an inevitable Disney CMF S3. They really need to do a Disney Parks theme with modestly sized and AFFORDABLE sets featuring fun action features similar to the JW Triceratops’ egg spinner (heck, even the Friends carnival sub theme).
  23. Probably officially revealed and on display at the D23Expo in Anaheim 8/23-8/26.
