    On Ebay I found another quite similar game called "black peter" with the same cards, so there are maybe more different versions.

    Hi Rick, our game is a little different than yours, on our cards the names of the figures are not written on them. I've checked marktplaats and ebay, and I found some already, but I found one and he wrote about a different game in the same box. He wrote about a "kwartet" so finding a set 4 of cards. I don't know how that game is named in english.

    Today we were cleaning out the attic and clearing out my our old things and my wife found in hers a fabuland memory game, it is a green box with 24 "playing card sized" cards with of course 2 of each the fabuland figures on it, on the back of the back is explained in dutch the rules of the memory game and © Lego group 1984, on the front of the box there is a Lego and Fabuland-logo. We are not planning to sell it but I am curious how rare is it and what it might be worth.

    I'm not sure when it was, but there was an update for the 8043 with new actuators and a modification with the gears.

    I work in a chemical plant and I asked our maintanance service for some pneumatic hose and he gave me some pneumatic hose which is normally used for giving pressure to actuactors which control valves so I could try some. It was available in blue and black and it has some printing but it works fine for my lego models, it only was a bit more difficult to fit the hose on the lego cylinders and connectors but it works great (and was for free).

    Maybe it is caused by vibrations, that is why is turns just a bit and you don't feel much resistance. I don't know it is the same with my Unimog and I can't check is because I took it apart.

    The were more parts in "teal" color, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=378616 it is the little teal monster by Mahjqa, he must have found the parts somewhere. So maybe it is possible to built the truck in the original color, but finding enough parts will be hard.

    I have 2 different liftarms in "teal" (color-name according to peeron) and that colors comes pretty close to the color of the truck. According to peeron the Technic Beam 4 x 6 Liftarm Bent 53.5 (6629) came in some sets but I also have one Technic Beam 3 x 7 Liftarm Bent 53.5 (32271) in the same color but can't find that one on peeron.

    I ordered so called G-HAWG tyres to fit the 22969 wheels, they were sent today, so hopefully the will arrive saturday and I can see how the look on the 9398, so it looks even more like a monster-truck.

    My 9398 arrived today and I started building within 10 mins. after the postman left. I think the steering should need some improvement so it can take narrower bends/curves. It looks really great with the bigger Ansmann tyres, now see if I can find some nice tyres for the PP-rims. I want to build the B-model soon and try to make some changes with that so it looks more like a Dakar-truck.

    Maybe by adding more bricks so that it would look even more like a dakar-truck, by giving the truck a full body on the rear and maybe some spare tyres, like the legendary DAF 95 X1 of Jan de Rooy, so the B-model has a better weight distribution.

    OK thanks, that explains it, you called it inner rim and called it "collar" but it is a bit bigger than the outer edge. But do the 2.2" tyres fit nicely round the rims so the tire doesn't slip. Next friday i'm to going to the RC/model shop and the man overthere is going to have a look what tire will fit.

    I received an email that my 9398 was posted today so it will arrive tomorrow (finally). I know what i will be doing when my wife is to work. PS there are messages that technicbricks is down, but I was on technicbricks.com a few minutes ago.

    About those tyres, dluders you are talking about 2.2" tyres but I already have 1.9" tyres from Ansmann and they fit perfectly on the 44772 rims and the power-puller wheels 22969 have the same diameter on the outer edge only these have a extra "collar" close to the edge, so because of the same outer diameter I think that the 1.9" tyres will fit better round the 22969 wheels, or am I missing something here.

    I first want to try them on my 9398 which hopefully arrives very soon this week. Maybe in the future i will use them on a big truck like a dumptruck or trialtruck.

    Does anyone know if the are some 3rd party tires that will fit the power-puller wheels, I've got the rims but with the racing tires so I'm looking for some off-road tires that will fit those rims. Next friday I will go to the local RC/model shop to ask if they will have some but the man overthere has to look in their supply and maybe they have some tires that will fit but he wasn't sure.

    I went to the local RC/model shop and the could order the tires for me. I had the data of those tires with me, got them out of the 3rd party tires thread.

    I'm waiting for my 9398 I already ordered it and it will arrive sometime next week, because the set is availabe here since july 30th. I also ordered the bigger Ansmann tires (see pictures in rodeown's post one page 50) and the tires will arrive tomorrow.

    You're definately not the only one. I'm 38 and been building again with lego technic since about 6 years, my wife, my parents and parents-in-law don't mind. Recently I found out that some colleagues (about my age) started building again but they "use the excuse" that they have small children and they are still to young for lego technic.

    Hi Saberwing, Is your new project something like the ETF mining truck (www.etftrucks.eu) it has about the same way of steering. There was sometime ago a thread about the ETF trucks maybe it inspired you.

    then I will try that (carefully) with my axles. The twisted axle was one where one of the wheels is mounted on so they are easily replaced.

    It wasn't my own design I found the instructions on brickshelf, but maybe I did something wrong.

    I ruined one Axle 5.5 with stop, it is twisted. I think I put to much force on it using the axle in my trialtruck. I have a lot of those axles so I can replace them but I also got them in white, does anyone know if the grey axles are stronger than the white (or white stronger than grey) or is it just a different color and are they the same? I only did some test-driving with the truck on my desk, nothing in heavy terrain of steep slopes.

    Sometime next week I'm going to the Lego store in Copenhagen to buy some new parts, I'm on holiday in scandinavia now so I don't have to travel that far. When I'm back home in 2 weeks I'm able to finish my blue trial truck. Based on the tatra 6x6 by Nielsvdv (instructions on brickshelf) and the cabin is based on the 8285 B-model.

    I've tried this with my trial truck and our cats as well. Our maine coon ran away, he's big (9 kilo) but not a hero, our maine coon/ragdoll acted like Tanya although she is not a kitten.
