  1. Great review! Can't wait to pick this up..BTW LOVE the ostriches! Now all we need are Prince of Persia Hassassin and red soldier battle packs. Come on, TLG, I'm WAITING! -Santhor
  2. If you check brothers-brick.com, they have a code for $10 off purchases of $50 or more, but you can't use it with the free shipping thing. Expect Battle of Alamut in my (hopefully all of our) hands soon. -Santhor
  3. Just 4 words........Most......AWESOME....castle.............EVER!!!!!!!!!! It was great-love the figs, catapults,(fire blades) opens+closes..............dang-now I wish I didn't break it down for (excellent) parts .........grrrrr.....now I have to rebuild it.
  4. looks good, but I wish the lion knights would have black waists, they'd reduce the price to 8 or 9 USD, NOT include a king or general in every set, and maybe, throw caution to the wind, and, if we're lucky, maybe include a HORSE for the guy with a lance............just a thought. I do like the dragon knights, save for the light silver weaponry....being a true fan of dark green and black, I just LOVE the color scheme, but they need some cool barding horses.... -Santhor
  5. I think that-hence the name "Kingdoms" TLG should expand on the kingdoms-make stables (3-4 horses, 2 squires, 2 knights, etc.-$40) or town stables (2 apprentices, 1 older guy, wife/maid, 3 horses, cows, or pigs-$35) and things like a REAL blacksmith, not just the 10193 ones-8x12, and 6x12.... BIG ones, like a whole 24-32 square baseplate...... Also they should make another Kingdoms marketplace, with more stalls and vendors. -Santhor P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong place.
  6. Really great MOC there--love the cobbled roads, and the use of the king's legs on the sleeping guy. -Santhor
  7. Okay sorry--guess I just checked a few.... They weren't at ToysRus either-just the junky overstocked sets from 2009. -Santhor My thoughts exactly! Since Kingdoms only has 2 factions, I'll buy the Battle of Alamut, Fight for the Dagger, and Desert Attack (to customize w/ the blue simitar guy). Also, I've dug out my crownies and Vikings. Now if only I could find the fortress/castle pieces..
  8. Hey all, I was on toysrus.com (USA) and the Prince of Persia Sets-Battle of Alamut, Quest Against Time, and Fight for the dagger are out of stock, at the right prices! it says they might be in stores, so grab 'em before they're gone. -Santhor
  9. Yes, I have visited them before, and am particularly interested in the Pillage the Village Contest. I have all of my entries pretty much completed, and will probably submit them in the near future (as well as some other MOC's). *Where's a cool sign off?*
  10. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I plan on posting some of my creations (I currently only have figures, though) as soon as possible. No, I have not read "the Silmarillion", as I too thought it to be quite hefty. Also, when I have the time, I'll have to check out that EBRP. Thank you for the suggestion. *still lacks a cool sign off*
  11. Okay, so, I've been a "lurker" for a while, and then created an account, but then still lurked for a few months. However, now, I POST ( ). So anyways, I, of course, am into Lego. I especially like Castle and Pirates, and Space themes are okay, but I'm mostly into the "less civilized" stuff. I also really like music, although I can't play an instrument. I hope to write a fantasy book one of these days, and I like creating some of my ideas/characters out of Lego(brick)s, hence the avatar. I am a big fan of Tolkien and his work, and I draw a lot of my ideas from that. Ah, that's another thing I like to do: draw, even if I'm not so good at it. That pretty much is a quick summary of my tastes, although I better quickly explain something: The minifig in my avatar is one of the main antagonists of my story that I'm working on, who is a master of dark arts/black magic. He rules his empire from his capital, Mirelandi. He is not supposed to represent me, I just like how the figure turned out, so that's why I used him for my account here. *insert cool sign off here*
