  1. I think he meant he was posting from his phone, not talking on it while posting.
  2. I think Faisser would have been wielding his axe anyway. Florence, what were you doing last night?
  3. Sorry to bump. Shadows, I have 1 of these and 4 of these in red brown. As far as I know, these have never been in a set. Interested?
  4. What a surprise, I didn't get in.
  5. How about this: "Hello, I've just joined the army of the republic five minutes ago, and I need a whole bunch of guns, as well as enough explosives to blow up the ship we're on." "Of course. Some higher-up said no paperwork or other precautions, so go right ahead."
  6. Thanks for the comment, Oky. My idea was that a trooper would have to sign out the weapon he wanted, fill out paperwork, etc. So I thought more of a store atmosphere would work.
  7. Don't mean to step on your toes, but I already asked Eskallon via PM If I could have numbers 18 and 19 on Venator 1.
  8. I like that there are other companys who make brick-based construction sets. it gives TLC competition, which makes them try harder with their set design and pricing. If LEGO had a complete monopoly on the market, we'd be seeing very expensive sets that weren't that great and quality would probably take a dive. This is particularly true because MB and others charge much less for their products. TLC needs great set design and marketing to stay on top.
  9. Thanks for the kind words, ISC. I really wanted to show off the armory and the weapons, so I figured figs could take a backseat this time. I basically just built the "shell" of the room a few days ago, then crammed in as much weaponry as I could. Essentially, there's a sub-machine gun, a sniper rifle, a grenade launcher, four RPG's, four plasma grenades, a bunch of anti-air missiles, a whole pile of standard-issue weapons, some lightsabres, and a time-bomb.
  10. Nice one Skywalker. The colour scheme definitely works for Plo Koon, and the shape is pretty good, with lots of sleek lines. However, as Mandy pointed out, why no passenger seat? Plo's gotta fly solo? The only real complaints I've got are that the engines don't match, and I hate flickfires!
  11. I agree that the treasure is of little importance right now. I also agree we should take a peek through Rudy's belongings.
  12. Armory/Weapons Depot Overall View: Side 1: Here we see the doorway, as well as a sub-machine gun, some lightsabres, and a phone on the wall so the clerk can take orders. Side 2: This is the dark gray wall that faces the outside of the ship. On it, there hangs a sniper rifle, as well as a Republic insignia. Side 3: Along this wall, there is a gun rack with plenty of standard service weapons, as well as a grenade launcher on top. In the bottom corner, we see a pile of anti-air missiles, and hanging up, there is a time-bomb. Birds-eye View: This view from above shows off the four RPG's, as well as the crate of plasma grenades. Final View: This shows off the curved counter that the clerk stands behind. With Figures: The clerk watches over his depot while two clones browse his wares. Minifigures: Two standard clones and an armory clerk. Some of the Weapons: From left to right: an RPG, a sub-machine gun, a sniper rifle, a grenade launcher, a time-bomb, an anti-air missile and a plasma grenade. Hope you like it. C&C welcome.
  13. Eskallon, could you change module 19 from a research lab to a weapons depot/armory? Also, number 2 is an engine room, not a research lab.
  14. Looks like a great game you're setting up, Quarryman! I'd love to be a part!
  15. I'd love to be a part of this! I'll take module 2, which will be an engine room, and module 19, which will be a small research lab. Also, could you outline where the technic "linkers" should be on an 8*8 module? You only one you have is 16*16. EDIT: Looks like I misread the map. I didn't realize the modules were 16*16.
  16. That's fine with me. I just didn't think Amelia wanted to keep it. Athranhat and Florence, calm down, lest you make yourselves seem suspicious. Openly revealing that you have lied or poisoned someone's tea with no evidence doesn't exactly take suspicion off yourself. Right now, our number one priority is to deal with Faisser and find that journal.
  17. I'll give up my bullet and keep the gun, if everyone agrees.
  18. Shame about Rudy dying. I think it was definitely Faisser, and so I'd like to search around with the others.
  19. Do you guys know if this is nation-wide or just for the Toronto area? The Zellers in my area never has a great selection anyway.
  20. Whats BOGO?
  21. It sounds strict, but I think everyone who joined after the contest started should be barred from voting. It's becoming a real problem, and its quite annoying, however obvious it sometimes is (like in this contest).
  22. If you guys are just looking for a good stop-motion animator, Monkeyjam is pretty good. Its free to download too.
  23. Nice little huge review you've got there, Pi. I really didn't think anyone could justify that many pictures for a single minifigure, but you accomplished that quite well. I'm running out of chances to get this though. I doubt I'll find one in a set, and there are no events like the one you went to in Canada, as far as I know. I'd better get hitting up Ebay for one of these, before the price gets jacked up at the end of the year.
  24. I like this, it works very well as a makeshift home thrown together in a hurry, which fits quite nicely with the backstory you provided. I'm not going to complain that it looks too random with all that stuff piled on there, because its clear that its meant to be. However, I do think it could stand to be a bit more realistic. Like others have said, some water and perhaps some ripple effects with clear plates would go nicely at the bottom. It's a shame you don't have a lot of blue, a 12 x 12 base with some other rock formations, waves and other details would do wonders for this MOC. I also agree that the rock formation looks quite unrealistic. I know I wouldn't want to make my ramshackle, probably pretty weak house on such a thin rock, with rough seas and possibly sharks below! Also, a ladder going up from the main room up to the crow's nest would look pretty good, if you can fit it in. But the biggest thing that I'm not crazy about is the mixing of Pirates, Steampunk, and even a little Castle. Taking away that purple shield, along with those Medieval-looking axes, along with that Steampunk-like wooden propeller up top, would make your MOC have a clearer definition, and really help with the atmosphere of the scene. To me, the mentality should be: "I'm stranded, I'll use whatever I could take off the ship to survive." Right now, it seems like "I'm stranded, oh look, a Knight's shield and some battle axes, along with a propeller that are all inexplicably here." I'm not trying to be too hard on you, I really like this MOC, its just that I feel you added a few things that don't really make sense that take you out of the experience you were trying to convey. I like all the little quirky details you've got, especially the water tap and the redcoat hat on a pike.
  25. Cool. May I still submit an entry now that I'm a part of this?
