I-i-impossible! Ten more packs today and still no gladiators.

Ok, it's official. This series is trolling me. I bought eight more packs today, in which I managed to find two (gangster and snowboarder) out three missing. Guess who remains? Exactly, him...the gladiator. He's my nightmare. And then three ice fishermen in a row? But WTF!

Way to go! Found a missing Spacewoman among the five packs of today. Three more to completion.

The current distribution is not perfectly balanced, I guess, but quite in direction of big sets. I'm seeing more and more rarely mini-sets like 8073: Let's take Ninjago 2011, for example. I mean, a set like 2506 is too expensive and too big for being a non-main set, imo. LEGO, always in my opinion, should make a bigger head-set for each theme, and then small-medium sets (not exceeding 30-40 $) to complete.

A licensed (or not) japanese robot wars theme would be the real deal, imho. Try to imagine the epicness of a LEGO Mazinga, a LEGO Daitarn III (here's a little help ) or a LEGO Jeeg Robot, along with Tetsuya Tsurugi, Aran Benjo and Hiroshi Shiba minifigs. But I know this is a little too much to ask, so I'd simply like some original concepts, too: new mechas (not Bionicle-looking or stuff) with new attacks, new transformations, new villains, new pilots and new suits.

Sincerely, I don't miss them too much. Probably because I've always been more interested in minifigs. The only animals I've appreciated recently are the gorilla and the rabbit from the collectibles series: in fact both have a human shape.

Ten packs today, with three additions: bandit and, mostly, Lady Liberty + Roman Soldier. Too bad I still can't find the space girl and the Minotaur.

Mortal Kombat, absolutely. Can you imagine the epicness of a LEGO fatality? Some Street Fighter/Tekken sets would be welcome, too.

My all-time n°1 is 2507 (Ninjago 2011 Fire Temple). Seven amazing minifigs (including a four-armed skeleton), a ton of weapons, a giant LEGO fire dragon, and an enormous splittable temple: I could not ask more. This set (but the Ninjago theme in general) managed to bring back in me the LEGO passion that I lost in the past 10 years.

Maybe I should just get those three on Ebay. I already have spent a ton of money for series 5, and furthermore I still have a 6th series to complete.

Stopping with series 8 or 9 would not make a lot of sense... I'm kinda sure they'll continue at least until the 10th series.

My top 5: 1) Hippie -> Absolutely amazing in his simplicity. Even if I'll find ten of them, I will keep ten. 2) Tarzan -> The necklaced naked torso (is just me or there is a scratch on it?) and the short knife are the main reasons for this second place. 3) Aztec -> That eagle golden thing on his head is the big deal. But the entire minifig seems enormously detailed. 4) Space Villain -> Nice face, nice weapon, nice armor. In one word, nice design. 5) Swimmer -> With 4-5 of them, you can transform your sink in an Olimpic swimming pool. Awesome. Special mentions to: - Poseidon, a cool idea, but composed of already seen parts (Sensei Wu beard, Atlantis trident, simple naked torso, mermaid tail), maybe with the only exception of the crown. Still a good addition for the 7985 set, though. - The bunny guy, that made me lol a lot. - Little red riding hood. She'll be useful for some Assassin's Creed custom minifigs. - The black knight which I don't like, differently from most people in this thread. I have one almost identical, from a 2003 (I guess) medieval set.

I managed to collect exactly half of this series, for now. I have clockwork robot, sleepyhead, skater girl, mechanic, butcher, genie, alien and highlander. Can't wait to put my hands on that amazing Roman soldier!

Six more packs today, three of which containing missing minifigs: Lizard Man, Lumberjack and Fitness Instructor. Three more (Gladiator, Gangster, Snowboarder) to go. I just can't find that damn Gladiator :( I envy you, ACWW.

Update: bad luck yesterday. On six packs I found two Zookeepers, another detective, another cavewoman, and, the only missing, a British Royal Guard, immediately followed by another Guard. Much better today. A cavewoman first, but then three missing in a row: the Evil Dwarf, the Ice Fisherman and the Clown.

Found two days ago the Boxer (my favourite in Series 5 along with the gladiator) at first try <3, together with the Zookeeper and the Graduate. Yesterday I bought 4 more pack, containing another Zookeeper, a cavewoman, an Egyptian Queen, and a Detective.
