Kiran, can you please deeplink you photos, and maybe give us a little description? Here's a deeplinking tutorial: Tutorial That will make people want to comment on your things, rather than just forget about them.

Well, it looks like it's in pretty good shape, so I think it's the rebuilt one. It's been rebuilt for quite a while now, probably 60 years or so. Thanks guys!

My bad! I accidentally posted it in TT. I'll move it.

Karlsruher Schloss, located in Karlsruhe, Germany, was built in 1715. It was destroyed in World War II, but rebuilt shortly after. The city of Karlsruhe was planned with the tower of the palace at the center, with streets radiating out from the palace like the spokes on a wheel or the ribs of a fan, giving Karlsruhe the nickname "Faecherstadt", or "Fan City". Karlsruher Schloss. Built for the LEGO Architecture category in the MOCpages MOCathlon. Flickr Thanks!

Soldiers Arsenal on Clearance in the Lego Store

You know he meant just the box right? -
Usually my inspiration is my own head. Often, something just pops into my brain that seems like it would be a good thing to build. Sometimes I'll maybe see a piece laying around, and that might inspire me to make something that fits with that piece. This was the case with my small MOC with the epaulette water. Once in a while I'll feel like building something that I've seen recently, or am going to see. The week before I went on vacation last year for example, I built a moving walkway like you see in airports. Overall though, like Sly, something will just come up, and I'll try to build it. Sooner or later, there will be something that pops into your head. Cool topic idea Newright.

Looks good so far. Could you please resize that first picture to 800 x 600? It's too large at the moment. Thanks!

Thanks guys! Funny, at first I thought the feet might be too big. The actual feet are quite small actually.

Here's a pic of the real thing. Thanks!

The Northern Cardinal, or Cardinalis Cardinalis, is a bird commonly found in the middle to eastern portions of the U.S.A and Mexico. The males are easily distinguishable by their bright red color, which resemble the cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church, thus giving them the name "Cardinal". Thanks!

Another awesome review, thanks Svelte. This really is a beauty of a set, lots of great parts as well. I'll maybe try to get this one.

Alles gute zum Geburtstag Holodoc! Hope you have a wonderful day. Athos, happy birthday to you too! Have a fantastic day guys.

I'll move it back for you, and change the title. Blackmoor thought it didn't belong (I would have done the same thing), because your thread didn't mention Pirates at all, and since this website covers all aspects of LEGO, he thought it belonged in general discussion. Moved back, and have fun!

Unfortunately, the only shots I still have unedited a super close-ups, which probably wouldn't work. I do however have abount 5 or 6 new MOCs in the works that will be done soon, and if you want to do one of those, the pictures will be completely unedited. When they're done I could PM you one of them.

OK. I probably won't be able to make it a perfect white though, because like I said, I'm not an expert. Also, the photo was originally taken on a dark blue background, is that OK? EDIT: I just saw that I don't have a lower angle photo that you mentioned. The MOC has been taken apart for a while, so maybe you should stick with the mars pic, unless you want to do one of my new MOCs.

I knew what you meant. I am curious though, how would you just get a white background with your methods? Is it also a many step process like this is? I can manage to do it on my paint.net, but it always is a difficult process as the magic wand always leaves some of the backdrop behind, so I have to do the details by hand. Do you still want to use my MOC for the next tutorial? Thanks a lot for doing this awesome tutorial.
-
Actually, I usually just like a clean white background. That's really what I use the most for MOCs. It's just tough for me to get the white part to go perfectly up the the MOC, without it going into the MOC. If you look at most of my pictures, it's almost never perfect.

Awesome tutorial Def. I'd love to be able to create lovely pictures like that. My backgrounds always are imperfect, like here. It always frustrates me to not get the results I want... How much of this is it necessary to have the full Photoshop? What version do you have? I did a trial for Elements a few weeks ago, but I still had a lot of trouble.

Wow, what a great game! I was pulling for the Canadiens to get it done for their host country. That was really thrilling. A nice silver for Germany in the cross country race, 30 medals total and 2nd place overall. Not too shabby!

I have a huge grin on my face. This is simply awesome. The way you recreated the minifigs is my personal favorite part though. Han Solo is hilarious. Great work Sly!

Man, what is in the Polish water that makes you all such good MOCers? This is a beautiful fort. I love the colors, and you gave it a really nice feel with the transition from water to rock to the fort. Excellent work, you're on the frontpage!

Check out this fantastic MOC by Piglet, Fort Royal. See more close up pictures and discuss in the Pirate Forum!

Dutch long track speed skater. Looks like the US is dominating the men's hockey semifinal. 4-0 already.

Really nice work again Derfel. You're really cranking out the MOCs aren't you? I'm not crazy about the brick built sails (although the front one is beautiful), but the rest of the ship more than makes up for it. I especially love the tan and dark red checkerboard pattern on the sides, with the turntable bases. You've been frontpaged!
