  1. This is my avatar. Feel free to use or abuse it. 1. Private Blackar 2. 3. Redcoat
  2. I voted for Imperial Flagship because I got it on Christmas when I was a child. The second reason is that it looks bigger and more powerful.
  3. 1) Blackar 2) Redcoat 3) Soldier (or Sailor... or something else...)
  4. Screen resolution: 1366 x 768 (usually) Internet Connection speed: DSL 2 Mbps Internet browser: Opera 12.02
  5. It´s hard to say. I prefer longer bows because it makes ships more graceful and majestic (I hope I found the right english words to explain what I mean). In my opinion a bow which is too short makes the ship looking a bit clumsy. I searched for some pics in the internet and found this which fits well with your ship. Bow Maybe this picture can help you. I guess we are talking about 3 or 4 studs. But if you are happy with your ship don´t mind it. This is only my opinion.
  6. I mean the part where the (great) figurehead is located.
  7. This is a great ship! I really like the interior of the cabin and the pattern on the hull. Good job. Only the bow is a bit too short.
  8. The cannons are just quick-builds to see how the artillery troops are looking next to them. But I give you some extra pictures of them.
  9. Thank you guys for the feedback. Yes, I ordered them on bricklink. And by the way they are really cheap in comparison to the torsos from the 90´s.
  10. This ship and its functions are really amazing! The canon-feature is my favorite but the flickering light is also great and fits well to a scary pirate ship.
  11. A few months ago I went in the Lego-Store in Frankfurt and started picking out some redcoat torsos. There were many in the boxes. Unfortunately there were no shakos but an employee noticed me and my special interest and he brought me some from the stock. He also brought me some rifles. This is what I call service. But my best find was a turkey.
  12. Thanks! Yes they really have to, but there is no time to do it in war. Furthermore I guess their axes are blunt. As I promised here are my french troops. Old Guard, Line Infantry (1798-1805), Line Infantry Light Infantry (Voltigeurs) Foot Artillery I use the pirate torso for the artillery and the Voltigeurs because their uniforms were more blue than white. Different types of Heavy Cavalry and one Dragoon (the green one) Different types of Hussars.
  13. Wow! This is the best ship in this magnitude I have ever seen. The details are awesome but the best thing about it is, that it is still in proportion. Really really nice!
  14. Hi, after months of watching this forum I finally decided to register me as a user. As long as I can remember I am a big fan of the Napoleonic Era. Therefore LEGO Pirates was my favorite LEGO theme in my childhood. When in 2010 the IFS was released my love to LEGO was renewed. Since my friends gave me the IFS for my birthday I can describe mysels as an AFOL. I bought many sets and ordered a lot of pieces on bricklink. The peak of this Lego-Renaissance was my trip to Legoland last year. Today I will show you how I configure my troops. I build them only with LEGO parts but I try to give them a "realistic" touch. British Army On this picture you can see 4 different types of Infantry. No. 1: Line Infantry. No. 2: 95th Rifles, I used dark green arms and pants, so they look a bit more realistic No. 3: Royal Marines No. 4: another type of Line Infantry British Foot Artillery and one guy of the Royal Horse Artillery (the left one) something like Pioneer Foot Guards Life Guards Last but not least the General Staff. You see that I combine the torsos from Pirates I and II and the torso from the Royal Guard. I hope you like the design of my troops. I will post my french troops as soon as possible.
