  1. I remember someone posting that several months ago somewhere here. I think this error just surfaced in some of the "The Knight" impulse sets. Yes, it is an error i have 2 reversed shields myself, and i remember the same already happeed back in the days on some black falcons shields.
  2. Well, for me that's nothing other than with the horses. I think such animals look better if they are made of one piece than they would look brick-built.
  3. That looks very good to me, but then we have to look that the whole building is stable enough, that could become a problem imo. But besides that, modular giant castle ON!
  4. I also like ISC's the best. I like that it is not too symmetrical.
  5. That sounds like a good list. But you missed something important.. a prison!
  6. Hmm i kind alike it, but i think for what we want to do it isn't qute right. It looks kinda too harry potter-ish to me, if you know what i mean. But that's not meant negatively. But i had in thoughts, we would build a castle that holds more on traditional forms, but that's just my opinon.
  7. That looks very good to me, thrash! I don't really think it would look empty in the end. Thnk about, that in the middle there still can be added a lot, and that the sides feature a lot of different things.
  8. I don't know if these have been posted already, but i found a few closeups of the new maiden fig in duechaser's flickr folder: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/291713...1d4f630b2_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3167/291798...0b737979e_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3101/291798...4f38126f2_o.jpg She's also got a printed back And also pictures of the new cows: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3193/291713...987f4b4b8_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3220/291713...cf5a4d368_o.jpg

    City '09?

Oh i see, then i won't get it if this comes true. The sweet house would have been the main reason for me to buy it
  10. finally got it today after waiting a week for it to arrive from S@H. First thought i'd open everything in order beginning december 1st, but there was no way. All the new figs are just awesome. Now i have to find out how to integrate everythig in my other castle stuff Btw.: i noticed several people had stuff missing or different figures in their calenders, that isn't the case with mine. Everything alright here
  11. To be honest i'd even buy it if it increases 100 %.

    City '09?

What do you mean with an alternative Version of 4999?
  13. If i can throw that in, but the first thing i thought on when i saw that new queen fig was some kind of "monarchy" theme, i don't know the word for it, but i mean the time around and before 1900. Wouldn't that be great?
  14. Some more stuff today, 6479, 6057, 6038, 6431, 6451, 6445, 6462. Skull's Island also still for sale.
  15. Hmm i'd rather say he murdered the guy under the bed. Maybe he's some kind of Dexter (if you know the tv series) guy who's good at day but murderes at night Anyway great moc, and i can't wait to finally have this awesome fig, fingers crossed that my calendar arrives tomorrow
  16. i think the same way. otherwise that could turn out to be a real mess at the end. So i think it's the best if somebody how got LDD makes a raw overview so we can exchage our opinos and have something we could hold on.
  17. AC/DC - Shoot To Thrill From the re-release of the No Bull DVD which is beeing shown here in the TV right now, yay!
  18. As far as i know, only THIS set was an US exclusive.
  19. i agree, i also noticed these similarities when i went through the instructions of King Leo's Castle But i do think that overall this set here is the better one of the two, not at last because of the great blacksmith place "downstairs", and i think it also has more details.
  20. Well, if we don't include a tavern, i'd have an alternative. What if anyone builds a hall of knights? no Castle TLG ever made had that, and i also didn't see much moc's of something lke that yet. Here are a few pictures from "real life" halls:
  21. Thanks very much for the review! also own this set and made a few pictures some months ago for a review, but somehow i forgot to make it then. This is one of my favourites of the forestman sets, i like the size of it and the neat hideouts it has
  22. I think it should everybody's own decision on how many walls to make and if he needs a 16x16 or a 16x32 baseplate. I have the feeling that otherwise the imagionation would be too limited. For example, i don't want to build side walls for my blacksmith's area as thrn the wooden roof would make no sense. it is thought to be an open room, at least the version i built. I think following guidlines would be enough to left enough for everyones personal imagination aswell as the fitting together to other modules: - 3 studs thick outside walls that are built stud into the baseplate - using a 16x16 OR 16x32 baseplate, depending on what is built on it - if the wall is only a catwalk wall without a tower, 6 bricks high wall with one 2x2 hole-brick on the ground and one 5 bricks higher I think with these guilines everybody should be able to build something creative and it would fit togethe rin the end. That's just my opinion.
  23. Well, wrap around does not except the possibility of playabilty. for example as i said there are many good possibilities to have good playability n sets with 4 walls, as with modular floors or openable buildings with hinges.
  24. A tavern would definitely great and belongs to a castle not less than a stable or blacksmith shop!
  25. I like the style with having closed every side way better. Though for example 10176 has some great playability features, i think for the overall look the recent builing styles are much better. You can build with hinges or modular technique so the buildngs can be opened, like the new outstanding castle square set. I agree with you KimT, the 80's castle stuff was really great and i love the idea that you can basically add everything to a castle with just adding 2x2 bricks with hole and a technic pin.
