Hi! Amazing The truck qualifies as full Fabuland character (female, btw), having those eyes & full lips.

Hi! Indeed. It still could have been worse though: At least Jar Jar has the decency to wear briefs!

Hi! I voted as follows: Most hilarious: Sly Owl Most horrifying: Oky Wan Kenobi (I hardly can imagine anything more frightening than Jar Jar Binks singing. The thought alone makes me shudder!) Most original: Sir Nadroj

Hi! I am currently in the States (business took me here), in Las Vegas. I had the intention of buying the Millennium Falcon (the big one), because Euro prices are much more expensive. However - what a disappointment - they did not have it at FAO Schwarz (Forum Shops of Caesar's Palace). My 2nd option, the greengrocer, was not available either. Their Lego section was very small anyhow, but at least they had Cafe Corner. Thus, I wento to the closest Toys'R'Us. And more disappointment - they did NOT have any set that was substantially bigger than the Republic Cruiser. Anyhow, the trip should not have been in vain. Thus I bought: 7672 SW Rogue Shadow 4996 (the yellow house), 2x 7624 Indy set (nice content for a small price) 7733 City transport 7991 City trash truck 4939 (car creator set, small), 2x. All of this for 207 USD incl. tax. And later, I went back to FAO Schwarz and bought the Cafe Corner, which they had. Now I only need to schlep all this stuff over the pond, but I came prepared.

A terrible blow to an adult fan of lego?
voxel replied to General Zen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi! Today I have made quite a haul although I did not get what I wanted). If someone had shouted "Look at all the lego", I would have smiled. Besides, I cannot see any insult. Anyhow I am in the age where people might think it's for the kids, so I can imagine that late teens and early twenties might be (more) embarrassed. At any rate it doesn't matter to me what people think about the contents of my shopping cart. When I was younger, I was more self concious. -
Hi! I put it on display, moc with it, and it is one big mess (well actually I got several messy heaps in vatious boxes because the acessability of my sorted bricks needs improvement). I do not play with it the way I used to when I was a wee lad, thus I did not select that option. However I cannot resist swooshing swooshable objects ;-)

Hi! In May, I will make a business trip to LA & Las Vegas. In case I have time at all, any suggestions for a (decent) Lego store in any of these places? (yes I know, they're big... and driving for hours just to get some LEGO will not be an option. In LA, we will be located in Studio City, in Vegas, we'll be staying at the Wynn.)

Hi! I agree, nice job! Also nice colors and not too crowded. Also good result for a first perspective attempt. Besides, I like your skelly baby! a) The "perspective" house front apparently is lined up with the main house front. Setting it back 1 or 2 studs should do the perspective trick nicely (if need be, compromise one stud resp. brick height unit of the water). b) A mixture of brown slopes for the perspective house (or a brown 2*8 plate angled likewise) might help the roof. c) How about an advancement of the dark grey "perspective" rock by one stud?

Hi! Hilarious! Not only an ingenous idea but also nice posing! BTW: Do I smell an ice cube tray in the last image?

If you had the possibility to choose a new City minifig character
voxel replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Hi! ... and firefighters. I have loads of both and no real use so far - maybe I should create a protest march MOC to use at least the former ones ... -
Hi! Regarding this specific minifig head: What does the white print below his moustache represent? A lopsided grin? Chewing gum?

If you had the possibility to choose a new City minifig character
voxel replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Hi! I second that. At any rate I would prefer a minifig with hair (or a wig) rather than a hat/cap. IMHO the ratio headwear vs. hair is somewhat out of proportion in the Legoversum. -
Hi! The same hapless guy is included in the hospital set, and the IV stand with couch was to be found in the 2007 advent calendar (possibly with a different color scheme). Is that really a specific female head? No lipstick, no eyelashes there ...

Hi! The 2nd image apparently captures the moment immediately before impact; see the distance between the hammer (nicely built, btw!) and the head. Thus, be assured, there will be blood! ;-)

Hi! There is a lot of hilarous creations here, my current favorite is the "Drunken pirate" :-D . Thanks for having such fun contests, ideas, inspiratios etc. pp. I shall soon come up with a sig fig (decisions, decisions ... should it look like myself or entirely different; I haven't made up my mind yet). I have one entry up so far: Mars Mission "Alien Dissection" (it can be seen in the entry thread and here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/voxel/impulsesets/ ). The inspiration came last weekend when I took advantage of the TRU deal 3 for 2. Amongst the loads I bought I got the 7692, a Mars mission spacecraft. When I unpacked it, I found two containers to be attached to the spacecraft that could be loaded with either energy crystals or aliens (!). Altogether thoses aliens, although meant as sapient beings (having developed technology), apparently they are game for the diehard astronauts and treated without respect. Since they are meant to be captured, they might as well be examined, scanned and dissected. So I created the appropriate impulse set. Another nightshift was spent on the box image.

Hi Ronan, this vignette is hilarious! "strictest quarantine", :-D

Hi! Gread pride parade! The poor undead seem to be at a loss (the way they look at each other - subtle touch!) and don't know what to do. Yet one final question remains: Where's Waldo?

Hi! Here is my chamber: Each new verdict is being put to deep freeze sleep while his blood is being replaced by a substitute. Afterwards, he will be placed in his individual stasis chamber. If things go well, eventually he will be unfrozen and reintegrated into normal board life. Unfortunately, stasis chamber technology is still under development (in other words: You're lucky when you survive it). Lots of rats help in further research. The guy to the left is the engineer in charge of proper operation, checking the status of these two stasis chambers and their contents. The guy to the right is in good shape, considering that his temperature is equivalent to that of liquid nitrogen. The blue control light indicates the status. The left stasis chamber is mulfunctioning; its status light is red. The content of the stasis chamber has apparently turned mouldy and needs to be removed. Now how could this have happened? First, as stated above, the technology is work in progress. Second, since the room containing the stasis chambers is quite unconfortable, the engineer only checks occasionally (e.g. when a new verdict arrives and a stasis chamber is needed. Then he either needs to release an older verdict or, uhm, clean and prepare another stasis chamber). In fact he procrastinates whenever possible, spending his time playing with LDD on his PC rather than monitoring operations within the plant. Under the steel floor, contents of stasis chambers that had a malfunction can be found, serving as nourishment for subsequent generations of lab rats. Here is another shot: The engineer is checking the overall status, vital signs (if applicable ...), etc. at the local terminal.

Hi! In general, I ditch boxes that only open at the side*. The big ones that open on top are great for storing unfinished projects or "sketches", they can be stacked on the floor or in a shelf. Aside from that I am not overly attached to the boxes. The death star box e.g. I had to ditch because I bought that set abroad and it did not fit into any of my suitcases as a whole. *Some of the bigger boxes open only properly at the side (e.g. the new police station). To me, those are entirely useless because when building the particular model, I like to fill the box with the bricks as needed and work from there. At any rate, I cannot see the advantage of those boxes over those that open on top.

Hi! I just noticed the following: When clicking the user name, now a drop down menu containing one (!) item, the user profile, opens. In the past, clicking the user name immediately opened the profile for that user. I would prefer the former behavior when clicking the user name (it saves an extra click & mouse movement).

Hi! Nice work! Overall good job. Two minor details: I find it slightly disturbing that in the "general" boards the text fields are darker than the background and The "polka bricks" are too irregular as well. And instead of the green frame I would have created anoter matching shade of (medium dark) blue. At any rate I can live with that, it may be a matter of (my) taste. Note: Also in the Minifig Customisation Workshop subboard the text fields are darker, but because of the plain background and the overall matching color scheme this is OK.

Hi! LOOOOL! Hilarious, thanks! (I'm a trekkie btw. If it's not LEGO, it is Star Trek.)
