How did you get two? Were there two members in your party, or did you manage to buy the second off of someone? Good news, apparently I'm going next year :-D Um, Languages, how exactly does it work? Where would I go about getting tickets...and is this event held once a year? Once a week? Just curious :)
-
Definitely the Revolution, it's so tiny!
-
That's my puppy, Charlie.

Ah, just a ticket? Sure...an expensive ticket...but for an experience like that it certaintly seems worth it! I'll have to start saving up...maybe next year... And did that include everything, languages? Meals (I assume), but what about the hotel? It seemed like the whole thing was organized that way...do they have their own hotel or something? Even if not, it's something I will definitely have to do some day, and when I do...screw the secrets, I'll spill all the details :-D

Our last stop on the backstage tour was probably the most different experience. We got to go behind the scenes of the pirate boat ride. We actually were able to look down on the boats coming through the darkened ride and see how the ride was constructed. Again, something you would never have gotten to do in the US. Oh, I can't wait until our Mr. Phes sees that! He'll be taking a trip soon me thinks ;) And is it really true? You could pick CLONES and VIKINGs? Eek, I want to go so badly *wacko* How...exactly did you get this again? Random? Contest? You knew somebody?

That's fantastic! Congrats! (and happy birthday)

This really is fantastic. If they did make a Star Wars version of it...they could find a way to give AFOLs figs en masse, without violating the agreement with Hasbro. This would be fantastic, although they probably would have done it by now...I mean, an OT set would be sweet, stormtroopers vs. Rebel soldiers, Ep 1 would be crap (gungans vs. driods), but Ep 2 and 3 would be sweet (actually, just Ep 3). Clone vs. Jedi! We could get a bunch of council members that way. Non-lightup Mace as the "queen" (yeah, yeah, I know), and other coucil members for the bishops/rooks/etc. Pawns could be generic Jedi. Of course...none of that will ever happen :'( oh well...

I always THOUGHT that I used to have a fireing cannon a long time ago...but I never was able to find it.

Ah, if only I were rich, there would be so many things I'd like to do if I could. If I had the money, Phes, the first thing I'd do is buy that and have it shipped to ya

I never liked the head on the AT-AT though, that was my only complaint. -

Personally I'm glad they went with the brick style instead of the plate style. To me plate always seems so much more fragile. I love the number of figs, and the variety of the droids (though that gonk droid is getting at me...) I also dislike the different colored bricks, but I might be able to replace them all myself if I can get ahold of a few more brown. I love the playability of it, it reminds me a bit of lego sets of old. I too am sad about the decal thing, but then again printed wouldn't have been much better for me. I'd rather they make it the right size and have a proper control room ;) All in all I'm very pleased with this, and can't wait to add it to my collection (the THREE jawas was a nice plus, they'll really be a fortune for anyone looking for more on bricklink unfortunately) -
if you were asking me, Justin DeNise :-D

1993 LEGO World Expo "Pirates Ahoy" Souvenir Booklet
Starwars4J replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
well in that case, ya get a yes, matey -
controls might not be necessary, if the minifig is lying down (something I've used a few times), just make it so that the cockpit viewshield is a touchscreen control. It can work.
-
No fair...you stole my initials ;) (I'm JD) Anyway congratulations, that's quite an accomplishment.
-
Now if it took 20 years to build the death star, then how did they build the Death Star II in like 5? C'mon, it was easily 3/4 done.
-
I think you're thinking of Little armory, Redbean's stuff is really cheap, but well made.
-
I don't have one handy to check, but what about on the studs where the rider goes?
-
They need to continue star wars...so many unexplored sets! It's the source of so many good minifigs too...
-
I've noticed ;)

Mac's Bricks is finally up and running!

Oh oh, got an idea. Know how the 'showcase' figs are in the windows? Say that the figs were missing... :-D It was ordered from S@H though... -
Which it very well might be. I mean right now everything is preliminary, so they might just be calling it "Clone Wars" due to the same animation style and group working on them. Though right now, nobody really knows much of anything.

I wish there was such a day...some country somewhere should really make a "Star Wars Day"
-
Aww...I've been waiting to use that quote ;) Anyway, Happy Birthday! :-D

I have no idea, and probably neither does lucas ;) I figure they'll either do Ep3 side-stories, or maybe continue after Ep 3 (with a different title of course). They won't be able to do THAT much more though, cause then they'd cross into the territory of the live-action series...to be honest I have no idea how they're gonna pull it off.
